About the role
At Cosylab we build software for the world's most advanced scientific and medical systems — particle accelerators, telescopes, fusion reactors, and cancer treatment devices. Our technology helps organizations drive scientific discovery, advance cancer care, and bring clean fusion energy closer to reality.
You will be joining our business analytics team, where your main tasks will involve preparing data for analytical and operational use, working with our data warehouse, and creating reports for internal users of the company, such as management, production, marketing, sales, finance, and others.
Key tasks and responsibilities
- Development and maintenance of ETL processes for transferring data into the data warehouse.
- Preparation and maintenance of data for reports (views, tables, and scheduled jobs).
- Gather and define requirements with internal stakeholders (management, development, sales, finance, and others) and deliver corresponding data solutions.
- Integrate new data sources in line with evolving business needs.
- Collaborating on the modernization of internal data infrastructure.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a comparable data engineering or analytics role.
- Strong knowledge of SQL.
- Understanding of ETL processes and data pipelines.
- Solid understanding of data modeling and how to structure data for reliable reporting and analysis.
- Comfortable working directly with business users to understand what they need and build data that delivers it.
- Proactiveness, a strong sense of responsibility, and well-developed communication and teamwork skills.
You'll stand out if you have experience with
- Familiarity with the Microsoft data stack (SQL Server, SSIS, Power Query).
- Experience developing reports in Microsoft Power BI.
- Interest in AI tools and ideas for applying them to optimize workflows.
- Working knowledge of React sufficient to support the maintenance of an internal web application.
Education
- Bachelor of Science in Business, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, or another related technical field.
- Fluency in spoken and written English.
