Job Overview

Wargaming is looking for a Game Data Analyst to work on World of Warships, World of Warships: Legends and World of Warships: Blitz in our brand to strengthen the World of Warships product analytics team. The position is dedicated to core game play and balance analysis.

You will be a part of the team working on analyzing, visualizing, monitoring and managing data of three World of Warships Franchise games. We cover all kinds of products’ needs ranging from in-game battle analysis to game economy and financial monitoring. We work extensively with game production team for both providing sufficient data for informed decisions and to enhance data processes within the development.

Our future colleague will report to Lead BI Data Analyst

What will you do?

• Work closely with internal customers and stakeholders from gameplay development teams to meet business requirements and transform them into valuable BI reports / research reports for senior management and product teams all over the globe;
• Identify the key needs and point of growth of the development team and identify which data and how can enhance the decision-making process;
• Define the format and to provide the decision support outputs (dashboards, ad hoc reports);
• Determine key measurement metrics for new functionality and define tracking strategy;
• Consult users and lead cross-functional teams to address business issues, if necessary;
• Directly produce datasets and reports for analysis using various system reporting tools, if necessary.

What are we looking for?

• 3+ year experience on similar position;
• Experienced player with a broad gaming background
• Advanced knowledge of SQL at the level of complex queries;
• Data visualization skills, proficiency with BI instruments (we use Tableau);
• Good mathematical knowledge and knowledge of statistics;
• Knowledge of Python popular libraries for data processing and analysis;
• Experienced in working with DWH, overall understanding of DWH design and operations;
• Written and spoken English (B2 and higher).

What additional skills will help you stand out?

• Experience in game development (2+ years) and understanding of game production processes and needs;
• Experience in Wargaming games
• Understanding of multiplatform game analysis basics (PC, mobile, console).

Job Overview

We are seeking a data analytics professional to join our Data & Marketing Tech Team, to help improve measurement, analysis, and decision-making across complex data environments. This role combines data analysis, data research, and applied AI automation to work with multiple data sources, investigate business questions, and support reliable, scalable analytical workflows.

• Team Lead of Data & Marketing Technology

What will you do?

• Analyze data to answer business questions, identify patterns, and generate actionable insights
• Research data across complex systems with multiple internal and external sources, understanding data flows, dependencies, and limitations
• Support experiment measurement and analysis, including A/B tests, incrementality studies, and creative testing
• Partner with marketing, product, and engineering on tracking requirements, measurement plans, and documentation
• Design AI-powered automations for insight generation, anomaly detection, data validation, and analytical workflows
• Help maintain data pipelines/semantic layers; ensure metric definitions and transformation logic are clean and well-documented

What are we looking for?

• Educated in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, or a similar field
• Hands-on experience with data analysis and automation (SQL + Python, BI tools, workflow automation)
• Proactive mindset and eagerness to grow practical AI skills (ML fundamentals, LLM tooling, data quality automation)
• Experience operationalizing LLM workflows (prompting, evaluation, guardrails) for analytics use cases
• Responsible, self-driven approach with the ability to take ownership of tasks and communicate proactively

What additional skills will help you stand out?

• Experience with warehouses (BigQuery/Snowflake), dbt, Airflow, or similar
• Experience with product, marketing, or user behavior analytics, including funnels, cohorts, retention, attribution, LTV, experimentation, or similar measurement topics
• Familiarity with mobile attribution, analytics, or measurement platforms, as well as working with multi-source data integration
• Experience with predictive modeling techniques (e.g., regression/classification, time-series forecasting, uplift/propensity modeling) and model evaluation

, you’ll play a key role in
building modern, scalable, and high-performance data solutions on Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
. You’ll be part of our growing Data & AI team, designing and implementing data architectures that help clients unlock the full potential of their data.

Your Job’s Key Responsibilities Are

• Building efficient and scalable ETL/ELT processes to ingest, transform, and load data from various structured and unstructured sources (databases, APIs, streaming platforms) into BigQuery and Cloud Storage
• Implementing data ingestion and real-time processing using Dataflow (Apache Beam) and Pub/Sub for batch and streaming workflows
• Developing SQL transformation workflows with Dataform, including version control, testing, and automated scheduling with built-in quality assertions
• Creating efficient, cost-optimized BigQuery queries with proper partitioning, clustering, and denormalization strategies
• Orchestrating complex workflows using Cloud Composer (Apache Airflow) and Cloud Functions for event-driven data processing
• Implementing centralized data governance and metadata management using Dataplex with automated cataloging and lineage tracking
• Monitoring and optimizing data pipelines for performance, scalability, and cost using Cloud Monitoring and Cloud Logging
• Collaborating with data scientists and analysts to understand data requirements and deliver actionable insights
• Staying up to date with GCP advancements in data services, BigQuery features, and data engineering best practices

Your Skills
Essential Skills:

• 3+ years of hands-on experience as a Data Engineer with proven expertise in Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
• Strong experience with BigQuery (SQL, partitioning, clustering, optimization) and Dataflow (Apache Beam)
• Strong programming skills in Python with experience in data manipulation libraries (PySpark, pandas)
• Expert-level SQL proficiency for complex transformations, optimization, and analysis
• Proficiency with Dataform for modular SQL-based data transformations and data pipeline management
• Solid understanding of data warehousing principles, ETL/ELT processes, dimensional modeling, and data governance
• Experience integrating data from various APIs and streaming systems (Pub/Sub)
• Cloud Composer experience for workflow orchestration
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills in English (min. B2 level)
• Ability to work independently and as part of an agile team
