What You'll Do

  • Support and administration of a high-load database (approximately 20,000 transactions per minute)
  • Performing and maintaining zero-downtime database migrations (seamless migrations).
  • Proactive identification and resolution of database-related issues and performance bottlenecks
  • Collaboration with the development team to address tasks related to database architecture and query optimization
  • Configuration and maintenance of database PostgreSQL infrastructure in AWS (RDS, Aurora), managed through Terraform
  • Participation in database architecture optimization, performance tuning, bottleneck analysis, and proposing improvements
  • Handling tasks related to incident and performance management; participation in new projects and services involving databases
  • Active involvement in the development process: taking initiative to identify issues and propose tasks, not just handling incoming tickets

What Makes You a Strong Fit

  • 3–5+ years of professional experience in software engineering or data engineering (depending on the role)
  • Strong knowledge of PostgreSQL — query optimization, indexing strategies, replication, and performance troubleshooting
  • Experience working with large-scale data systems, ETL pipelines, or distributed backend systems
  • Solid understanding of SQL performance tuning, schema design, and transaction management
  • Hands-on experience with Linux systems, monitoring tools, and automation scriptingFamiliarity with AWS services (Aurora, RDS, Redshift, kafka debezium connectors) and similar cloud environments
  • Basic understanding of CI/CD pipelines, Git, and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)

The Role

We are seeking a hands-on Senior Full-Stack Software Engineer to help stabilize, develop, and scale its healthcare platform.

The role is intentionally balanced:

  • 50% Full-Stack Product Engineering — patient and care-management applications, workflows, UI/UX, APIs, and feature delivery.
  • 50% Backend, Cloud & Integration Engineering — AWS, data, healthcare interoperability, DevOps, security, and reliability.

The engineer should be comfortable owning functionality end to end: UI → API → database → cloud →monitoring → production support.

Reports to the Chief Technology Officer and works closely with Product, Clinical, Operations, and external partners

What makes you a great fit:

Your day-to-day in this position:

Key Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain patient-facing and care-management applications using React/TypeScript or similar technologies.
  • Develop backend services, APIs, asynchronous workflows, and PostgreSQL-based applications.
  • Improve enrollment, care plans, assessments, clinical workflows, communications, dashboards, and administrative capabilities.
  • Build integrations with payers, HIEs, QHINs, and healthcare partners using REST APIs, FHIR R4, HL7/ADT, C-CDA, SFTP, and file-based interfaces.
  • Implement data validation, patient matching, reconciliation, provenance, duplicate handling, and exception workflows.
  • Build and operate AWS services including ECS/Fargate, Aurora PostgreSQL, S3, SQS, EventBridge, CloudWatch, IAM, KMS, and Secrets Manager.
  • Strengthen CI/CD, automated testing, environment separation, deployment, rollback, monitoring, backup, and recovery.
  • Implement HIPAA-appropriate security, role-based access, PHI protection, audit logging, and secrets management.
  • Support governed AI-enabled workflows while maintaining appropriate human clinical oversight.
  • Build reusable platform and integration capabilities that support additional payers, states, and clinical programs without creating separate codebases

Your Future Tasks

  • Collaborate with a team to develop and enhance platform solutions for banking products.
