Introduction
We are seeking an experienced Developer who will be responsible for maintaining and extending our server-based transactional system.

The ideal candidate will be fluent in German, possess strong skills in Business Intelligence development, technical concept creation, and database design and maintenance. Proficiency in Python, Tableau, and Java/Spring server development is essential.

Position Summary
This role is closely connected to the ATM industry, where experience with ATM/Self-Service solutions is a strong advantage. The position involves consulting on technical concepts within the team and collaborating with Professional Services Temas, including participation in Customer meetings as a technical expert.

Key Areas of Responsibility

  • Develop and maintain server-based transactional systems and related components.
  • Design and implement Business Intelligence solutions and technical concepts.
  • Create and maintain database models and ensure data integrity.
  • Collaborate and consult with internal teams and customers on technical requirements.
  • Monitor and support datacenter application operations and security compliance (e.g., PCI audits).

Basic Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a Business Intelligence Consultant and Developer.
  • Fluent German language skills (mandatory).
  • Hands-on experience in datacenter application operations monitoring.
  • Strong knowledge of MS SQL database modeling and maintenance.
  • Ability to create technical concepts and support security roles during audits.

Technical Toolset

  • Python: ETL framework maintenance and development.
  • Tableau: Report creation and visualization.
  • Java/Spring Framework: Server-side development.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
  • Experience in the ATM/Self-Service industry.
  • Knowledge of system architecture and software architecture principles.
  • Strong skills in database modeling and optimization.

Aufgaben

Du betreibst das technische Rückgrat von OROS ENERGY.

Konkret bedeutet das: Du übernimmst Verantwortung über die weitere Integration unseres eigenen Energiemanagementsystems (EMS) in unser Backend. Von der Anbindung an unser ERP/CRM Odoo, über externe Dienstleister wie Battery-Analytics-Plattformen und Flexibilitätsvermarkter bis hin zu einem skalierbaren, zukunftsfähigen Gesamtsystem, das mit unseren Anforderungen wächst.

Datenschutz und IT-Security sind dabei keine Nachgedanken, sondern von Anfang an Teil der Architektur. Wir wollen in diesem Bereich Maßstäbe setzen, nicht nur Mindestanforderungen erfüllen.

Da wir auch das Frontend inhouse entwickeln, bringst Du Deine Erfahrung in direktem Austausch mit ein und gestaltest so nicht nur die technische Infrastruktur, sondern das gesamte Produkt mit.

TL;DR: Du kommst nicht, um Tickets abzuarbeiten. Du kommst, um etwas aufzubauen.

Deine Aufgaben im Detail

  • Übernahme, Absicherung und Skalierung unserer Backend-Infrastruktur auf einem privaten deutschen Cloud-Anbieter (Bare Metal)

  • Weiterentwicklung der Integration unseres Technologie-Stacks aus europäischen und offenen Lösungen, insbesondere OpenEMS (EMS), Odoo (ERP/CRM) und Keycloak (SSO/Authentifizierung)

  • Automatisierung von Deployments, Software-Updates und Konfiguration unserer Batteriespeicher im Feld

  • Bereitstellung und Pflege von Schnittstellen zu Drittanbietern, die über unser Backend angebunden werden

  • Ausbau und Professionalisierung unseres Monitoring- und Alerting-Systems zur Sicherstellung der Betriebsstabilität und schnellen Incident Response

  • Implementierung und Weiterentwicklung von Datenschutz- und IT-Security-Maßnahmen mit dem Anspruch, OROS Energy zum Technologievorreiter in der Branche zu machen

  • Performance-Optimierung unserer Datenbanken und Backend-Dienste für eine wachsende Zahl angebundener Anlagen

  • Anleitung und Betreuung von Trainees

Qualifikation

  • Mehrjährige Erfahrung als Backend-Entwickler mit nachweisbarem Track Record im Betrieb und der Skalierung produktiver Systeme

  • Fundierte Kenntnisse in Linux-Server-/Container- Administration und CI/CD-Pipelines

  • Starkes Bewusstsein für IT-Security und Datenschutz.

Nicht nur als Anforderung, sondern als Qualitätsanspruch

  • Erfahrung mit Java (eventuell sogar OSGi) oder Umgang mit JSON-RPC wären besonders wertvoll. Ein sicherer Umgang mit PostgreSQL, REST-APIs und Cloud-Infrastruktur wird vorausgesetzt

  • Unternehmerisches Denken und Hands-on-Mentalität

  • Sehr gute Deutsch- und Englischkenntnisse

Nice-to-Have

  • Erfahrung mit OpenEMS, Odoo oder Keycloak

How you'll make an impact

Job Overview
As a Software Engineer II on the Innovus and Genus database team within Cadence’s Digital Design Implementation (DDI) business unit, you will design and build the database infrastructure that underpins some of the world’s most advanced chip-design tools. Your work will directly shape the performance, scalability, and reliability of EDA software used by leading semiconductor companies globally - enabling them to bring next-generation integrated circuits to market faster and with greater confidence.

This is an opportunity to work on technically challenging, high-impact problems at the heart of modern electronic design.

Job Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and optimise EDA database infrastructure software, including data-model enhancements, API definitions, and class implementations.
  • Investigate and resolve customer-reported defects, delivering robust fixes and clear root-cause analysis within agreed timelines.
  • Collaborate with application engineering teams to profile, benchmark, and improve database API performance and code quality.
  • Reduce database memory footprint to support very large-scale IC designs, enabling customers to tackle increasingly complex chips.
  • Contribute to architectural discussions and technical design reviews, proposing solutions that balance performance, maintainability, and long-term scalability.
  • Write clean, well-tested code and accompanying documentation that meets Cadence’s engineering standards.
  • Participate actively in agile ceremonies - sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives - as a constructive team contributor.
  • Stay current with relevant developments in EDA, database architecture, and AI-assisted development tooling, and share insights with the broader team.

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field - or equivalent professional experience.
  • Min 2 years of professional software development experience in a relevant engineering environment.
  • Strong proficiency in C++, including familiarity with modern C++ standards and best practices.
  • Understanding of IC design data models, database architecture, and efficient data-access algorithms.
  • Experience working in UNIX and/or Linux development environments.
  • Excellent software engineering fundamentals: clean code practices, debugging, testing, and performance analysis.

Skills
Additional Skills/Preferences:

  • Experience with Tcl scripting in an EDA or automation context.
  • Familiarity with Verilog Hardware Description Language.
  • Knowledge of the IEEE 1801 Power Format (UPF) standard.
  • Practical experience using AI-assisted coding tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, or similar) to accelerate and improve development workflows.
