  • Own and drive the architecture of Kubernetes-based platforms, from design to real-world production
  • Translate complex business and product needs into clear, scalable technical solutions (HLD/LLD)
  • Set direction and best practices across cloud-native, containerized environments
  • Act as a technical leader, influencing decisions and guiding engineering teams
  • Support teams on implementation, optimization, and troubleshooting in production

Key Skills And Experience

  • Senior-level architect with strong experience designing and running cloud-native distributed systems at scale, with deep expertise in Kubernetes in production environments
  • Combines hands-on technical depth with strategic thinking, comfortable in complex environments where performance, reliability, and scalability are critical
  • Strong expertise in Kubernetes, containers, and cloud-native architectures
  • Experience with distributed systems and microservices at scale
  • Solid understanding of CI/CD (ideally GitOps), Linux, networking, and security
  • Proven ability to influence technical decisions and lead through expertise
  • Exposure to telecom platforms, service mesh, observability tools, or infrastructure as code is a plus

This team develops core services that enable our products to run cutting-edge medical applications. As a Quality Assurance Engineer, you will be responsible for testing components, features, and feature sets. Operates independently and contributes not only to the immediate team but also to cross-functional teams across the business. Actively participates in quality engineering discussions and provides guidance to other testers and engineers during verification campaigns.

Roles and Responsibilities
In This Role, You Will

  • Be part of the team as QA engineer, helping how the quality of the functionalities could be assured and what methodologies and technologies should be used
  • Develop and executes maintainable automated tests for acceptance, functional, and regression test cases
  • Own other quality engineering tasks, such as Manual Tests creation, execution and documentation
  • Integrate project testing with continuous-integration process
  • Work with fellow team members to diagnose bugs and formulate solutions
  • Provide expertise in the quality engineering, test planning and testing methodology for a software project
  • Be familiarized with the internal GEHC processes and tools used for Verification and Validation milestones, guiding the team on those activities
  • Be part of discussions with other QA Engineers and the project V&V leader to define strategies

Qualifications / Requirements
Education Qualification
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or “STEM” Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) with minimum 2 years of experience.

Technical Expertise

  • Proven hands-on experience with object-oriented design and programming languages like Java, GoLang, TypeScript or JavaScript (as more as better)
  • Proven hands-on experience with writing manual test cases
  • Experience with the following Service Automation tools: Serenity, JBehave
  • Experience with Linux based operational systems
  • Able to translate product requirements into feature files
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Have an analytical mindset, being capable to critically evaluate how features operate and how tests should be created.
  • Work independently when needed, looking forward for solutions when a problem arrives.
  • Have a detail-oriented personality, keeping documentations in high quality state for any possible audit.

Differentiators (Not Mandatory)

  • Testing of systems for security standards compliance
  • Experience working with distributed systems and container based applications using Docker
  • Experience with tools used in Continuous Integration processes: GitLab or Jenkins
  • Understanding of JMeter or other performance testing tools
  • Experience with software design through BDD and TDD
  • Experience with Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) tool is a plus
  • Experience with SQL query is a plus
  • Experience with the following tools is a plus: Protractor, Jasmine, Karma and Cucumber.
  • Experience with Kubernetes is a plus
  • Experience with Medical Imaging is a plus
  • Experience with Spring or Angular is a plus

The Mission: Engineering Resilience for Cloudera Data Flow (CDF) to Run Anywhere

Data is dynamic, and your processing services must be just as agile. As a Senior Software Engineer in Test on the Cloudera DataFlow team, you will be on a critical mission to ensure the quality, reliability, and deployment of our next-generation data service, Cloudera DataFlow (CDF). You will participate in and drive the testing strategy for the entire CDF platform.

This critical service must be rigorously tested to be capable of running anywhere, from fully air-gapped, on-premise servers to the most complex public cloud environments.

We are advancing a massive-scale platform. If you are obsessed with designing and executing highly reliable, distributed data flow systems testing that ensures efficient, scalable workloads across any environment, this is your perfect opportunity.

The Impact You’ll Make

  • Testing & Quality Assurance: You will be responsible for enhancing and maintaining our existing CI/CD pipelines and Java-based automated test suites, working with modern, Kubernetes-based test infrastructure. Your goal is to transform these assets into an advanced validation engine, crucial for the swift and dependable release of Cloudera Data Flow, thereby owning the Testing & Quality Assurance domain.
  • Technical Expertise & Troubleshooting: Become a subject matter expert in data flow management. When distributed systems fail at scale, you lead the charge. You will perform deep-dive troubleshooting and Root Cause Analysis on complex, system-level failures that only emerge in high-throughput environments.
  • Bake-In Excellence: You will work synchronously with the broader engineering team to bake quality into the code from day one, ensuring that testability is a first-class citizen in our software design.

Your Technical DNA

  • Bsc/Msc in related field or equivalent experience
  • Java Proficiency: You write clean, performant code and understand the nuances of the Java ecosystem in a distributed context.
  • Kubernetes & Docker Mastery: You treat containerization and orchestration as the foundation of modern deployments. You know how to simulate complex cluster failures to test system limits.
  • Validation Architect: You have a proven track record of designing complex test plans and automated methodologies that integrate seamlessly into robust CI/CD pipelines.
  • Testing & Development: Familiarity with diverse test frameworks (e.g., JUnit, TestNG, Mockito) for various testing levels, and practical experience developing and debugging software in Linux environments.
  • Communication: Excellent professional proficiency in written and spoken English, essential for clear documentation and seamless collaboration within distributed teams.

Your Role

As a
Lead ML Engineer
