Job Responsibilities:
- Author and maintain business-logic curation rules across 120+ Finance data subject areas; ensure that raw platform data is translated into business-ready, Finance-meaningful data assets with clear lineage, consistent definitions, and documented business meaning.
- Run subledger-to-GL validation each sprint cycle; verify data integrity between source systems (JDE, EBS) and the GCP Finance data lake prior to each platform release, and escalate discrepancies to the D&A Governance & Automation Hub Lead and Technology team.
- Steward the Finance data catalog, glossary, and quality assertions; own the definitions of KPIs, business rules, and data standards across all Finance functions (RTR, OTC, PTP, CAST, FP&A, Tax, Treasury, Commercial Finance, Supply Chain Finance, Internal Audit, and Operations Finance), ensuring a consistent and governed single source of truth across the platform.
- Serve as the front-line Single Point of Contact (SPOC) for Dataplatr in sprint ceremonies; translate Finance business requirements and validation findings into actionable data engineering specifications, and sign off on delivered data assets on behalf of Finance.
- Partner with Technology's ACE team (GCP architects) to define functional Finance data architecture needs; ensure source-system data is shaped and enriched into business-ready Finance data products that are fit for downstream analytics and reporting use cases.
- Engage Finance stakeholders across all functions — including RTR, OTC, PTP GPOs, FP&A, Tax, Treasury, Commercial Finance, Supply Chain Finance, Internal Audit, and Operations Finance — to capture, document, and harmonize business rules, data definitions, and reporting logic; maintain an up-to-date and governed Finance data semantics layer.
- Lead the Finance-wide training and capability-building programme on the new GCP analytics platform and self-service BI tools; plan and execute the migration of Finance users off legacy tools (BI Apps and Rapid Decision) as replacement capabilities come online.
- Contribute to and maintain the Finance D&A use-case funnel; work with Finance stakeholders across all functions to capture, document, and score new data and analytics use cases for prioritization and delivery through the central backlog.
- Identify, document, and escalate data quality issues, lineage gaps, and data governance risks; maintain active quality monitoring assertions for all Finance data assets in the platform.
- Support the definition and implementation of the IAM / RLS (Identity and Access Management / Row-Level Security) model for Finance data; define appropriate data access levels aligned to process area, function, role, and geography.
- Coordinate with the Automation Hub (Kraków and Kuala Lumpur) to align Finance data outputs with automation and reporting use cases; serve as the Finance data authority for Hub-delivered automation solutions
Required Knowledge & Skills and/or Related Experience:
- Strong working knowledge of Finance processes with particular depth in RTR (Record-to-Report); solid understanding of OTC and PTP, with working awareness of FP&A, Tax, Treasury, Commercial Finance, and Supply Chain Finance operations
- Demonstrated hands-on experience with financial data in ERP environments (JDE, EBS, SAP, Oracle, or equivalent) — including the ability to trace and validate data flows from subledger through to GL and consolidated reporting
- Experience authoring or maintaining data definitions, business rules, data dictionaries, or data catalogs in an enterprise Finance setting
- Data and BI proficiency as a working background skill: comfortable with SQL for data validation and exploration, and experienced with BI or reporting tools (Power BI, Tableau, Business Objects, or similar) — including building, validating, or supporting Finance reports and dashboards
- Ability to translate complex Finance business logic into clear, documented data and reporting specifications that technical teams can implement without further interpretation
- Rigorous analytical mindset with attention to data accuracy, completeness, and consistency across large and complex Finance datasets
- Proven ability to engage and manage multiple Finance stakeholder groups simultaneously, across different functions and seniority levels, in a collaborative and service-oriented manner
- Fluent written and verbal English; able to document complex business logic clearly for both technical and non-technical audiences, and to facilitate cross-functional alignment sessions
- Experience participating in agile or sprint-based delivery cycles with external vendors or technology teams
- Familiarity with cloud data platforms — GCP (BigQuery, Looker), Azure, or AWS — and data lake or data warehouse architectures
- Experience with data governance tools or frameworks (data catalogs, lineage tools, quality monitoring dashboards)
- Knowledge of IAM or role-based data access control models in a Finance enterprise environment
- Experience delivering end-user training or change management for tool migrations in a Finance context
- Background in a GBS, shared services, or Finance Center of Excellence environment
