About The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Developer to join Theodo GovTech, a specialized branch dedicated to serving public sector clients. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the successful delivery of digital projects that enhance public services and improve societal outcomes. Your primary focus will be on managing complex technical designs, ensuring high-quality code and architecture, and maintaining excellent client relationships. You will lead a team of Software Engineers, providing mentorship, technical guidance, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement. Qualifications
- 5 to 8 years of professional experience in software development
- Minimum of 1 year in a Tech Lead or equivalent leadership role
- Proficiency in complex web development concepts (frontend, backend, databases, infrastructure, deployment, CI/CD, logging)
- Experience with DevOps tools and practices (Docker, Kubernetes, Containers)
- Strong interest in maintaining high code quality and creating simple, scalable architectures
- Experience coaching and mentoring junior team members
- Knowledge of public sector project challenges, accessibility, or experience in the public sector (preferred)
- Excellent analytical skills and problem-solving abilities
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients and team members
- Pédagogical mindset with the ability to explain complex concepts clearly
Responsibilities
- Ensure the successful delivery and quality of digital projects for public sector clients
- Design and validate complex technical features, ensuring they are feasible for development teams
- Maintain high standards of architecture and code quality through methodologies like Theodo’s 3S and routine code reviews
- Act as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring their satisfaction through regular communication and routine meetings
- Lead, mentor, and coach Software Engineers, fostering their professional growth through code reviews and pair programming
- Conduct regular one-on-one meetings with team members to support their development and address challenges
- Participate in project planning, backlog refinement, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives to ensure smooth project execution
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the team and organization
- Stay updated on technological advancements and best practices to bring innovative solutions to client projects
