As an I&C Commissioning Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in the successful execution of large-scale, global Siemens Energy projects. You will be responsible for the on-site commissioning of Instrumentation & Control (I&C) and Distributed Control Systems (DCS) for a diverse range of innovative energy solutions, including low-emission power plants, grid stabilization systems, and battery storage facilities. Your expertise will be crucial in ensuring the seamless and reliable operation of our advanced automation technologies, directly contributing to the global energy transition. Your primary responsibilities will involve the independent commissioning of control and process systems, from initial functional tests to the final handover to the client. This includes conducting rigorous tests on protection and control systems, performing control loop optimizations, and actively troubleshooting any issues to ensure system integrity and performance. You will work hands-on with our state-of-the-art Siemens Energy DCS systems, such as OMNIVISE T3000, to bring complex industrial plants online efficiently and safely. This role requires a proactive and technically adept professional with a strong background in electrical or automation engineering. The ideal candidate thrives in a dynamic, multinational team environment and possesses a high degree of autonomy and problem-solving skills. A profound willingness to undertake continuous, multi-month international travel is essential, as you will be deployed to project sites worldwide to ensure the quality and success of our commissioning activities.

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • 60% On-Site Commissioning & System Testing
    • Independently commission control and process systems for power generation and new energy solutions (e.g., gas/steam power plants, battery storage) through to customer handover.
      • Execute functional tests on I&C protection and control systems to verify operational integrity and safety.
      • Commission unit control technology using the Siemens Energy Distributed Control System (DCS), specifically OMNIVISE T3000.
      • Perform control loop optimization and systematic troubleshooting to identify and resolve faults or deficiencies during the commissioning phase.
  • 20% Project Execution and Documentation
    • Adhere to detailed commissioning schedules and test procedures for all on-site activities.
      • Prepare and maintain comprehensive commissioning documentation, including test protocols, progress reports, and quality records.
      • Facilitate the formal handover process to the client, ensuring all acceptance forms are completed and signed off.
  • 20% Collaboration and Quality Assurance
    • Collaborate effectively within multinational project teams to ensure cohesive and efficient project execution.
      • Ensure all on-site activities comply with project-specific quality, environmental, and safety standards.

What You Bring

Education

  • Successfully completed degree (University/FH) in Electrical Engineering, Automation Technology, Electronics, Robotics, or Control Engineering.
  • Alternatively, several years of professional experience in a similar field combined with a foundational electrical engineering education.
  • High willingness for continuous, worldwide travel for project assignments lasting several months.
  • Valid Class B driver's license.

  • Strong debugging and problem-solving skills — you can navigate ambiguity and find root causes efficiently

We are seeking a
Principal DevOps Engineer
to serve as a technical leader within our DevOps organization.

This role partners closely with other senior technical leaders to translate strategic platform direction into reliable, scalable, and developer-friendly infrastructure capabilities. The Principal will lead the technical execution of platform initiatives, elevate engineering standards, and drive measurable improvements in reliability, cost efficiency, and delivery velocity.

This is a hands-on leadership role. You will design and implement platform capabilities across our serverless and Kubernetes environments, guide senior engineers, and influence engineering practices across teams.

Key Responsibilities and Outputs:
Technical Leadership & Execution

  • Partner with Architects to implement and operationalize platform strategy.
  • Lead the technical design and delivery of platform capabilities across:
    • Serverless-first AWS workloads
    • Kubernetes (EKS) environments
  • Break down large architectural initiatives into executable milestones.
  • Guide platform implementation patterns and reusable modules.

Reliability & Operational Improvement

  • Drive systemic improvements that reduce incident frequency and severity.
  • Strengthen observability standards (logging, metrics, tracing).
  • Support adoption of Product focused SRE frameworks across teams.
  • Improve deployment safety, change management, and incident response practices.

Platform Evolution

  • Improve CI/CD automation and deployment workflows.
  • Contribute to Kubernetes cluster design evolution and networking patterns.
  • Improve logging pipelines, cost visibility, tagging standards, and platform guardrails.
  • Support platform modernization efforts with a focus on simplification and predictability.

Engineering Enablement

  • Improve developer experience across platform offerings.
  • Establish clear golden paths for deployment and monitoring.
  • Contribute to DORA metric visibility and engineering performance improvements.
  • Support responsible AI tooling adoption in our workflows.

Influence & Mentorship

  • Mentor senior engineers and elevate platform engineering standards.

Qualifications

Experience:

  • 8–12+ years in infrastructure, SRE, or platform engineering.
  • Experience operating serverless and Kubernetes environments at scale.
  • Proven track record improving reliability and reducing operational toil.
  • Experience collaborating closely with multiple engineering teams.

Technical Expertise:

  • Strong AWS expertise (Lambda, API Gateway, Step Functions, DynamoDB, S3, IAM, VPC).
  • Strong Kubernetes/EKS experience including networking and observability.
  • Advanced Infrastructure as Code (Terraform preferred).
  • Strong CI/CD pipeline design experience.
  • Experience with observability tooling (OpenTelemetry, OpenSearch, Prometheus/Grafana, CloudWatch).

Additional Information

The
expected annual base salary range
for this position is:
PLN 308,025/year
to
PLN 513,375/year
. This position is bonus eligible.

Actual compensation will be provided in writing at the time of offer, if extended, and is determined by work location and a range of other relevant factors, including but not limited to: experience, skills, degrees, licensures, certifications, and other job-related factors. Internal equity, market and organizational factors are also considered.

What You Will Do

  • Build and operate core data platform applications such as Airflow, QuickSight, Data Export API, and CubeJS to enable self-service and scalable data usage across MOIA.
  • Design, implement, and maintain APIs and platform services, with a strong focus on reliability, performance, and developer experience.
  • Develop and deploy serverless and containerized applications using AWS services like Lambda, API Gateway, ECS/Fargate, EKS, and S3.
  • Automate infrastructure provisioning using Infrastructure as Code and ensure secure, scalable, and observable systems.
  • Collaborate with teams across multiple domains, helping them integrate with and build on top of the platform.
  • Contribute to our team’s learning culture by sharing knowledge, mentoring, and participating in learning days.

What Will Help You To Fulfill Your Role

  • Strong programming skills in Python and familiarity with Golang and OpenTofu/Terraform.
  • Experience designing, building, and maintaining APIs and platform services in cloud-native environments.
  • Experience building and operating applications in cloud-native environments (preferably AWS).
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code (CDK or Terraform).
  • Exposure to job orchestration frameworks such as Airflow or similar.
  • Knowledge of monitoring, alerting, scalability, CI/CD, and DevOps practices for operating data systems in production.
  • Excellent communication skills and a platform mindset, you enjoy enabling other teams and driving shared success.
