Position Summary
In the operation of our three Value Centers, the IT organization has developed a Business Process Management (BPM) platform called ePrism. ePrism is a highly flexible and configurable in-house developed platform that is used in all three Value Center to deliver over 25 unique, custom value-add line-of-business applications covering a variety of functions from sales, application and product engineering, production operations, aftermarket services, customer relationship management, manufacturing etc.

The ePrism Application Support Team consists of IT Business Analysts and Application Developers. Our application developers build/enhance the modules for the ePrism Business Analysts to use creating and enhancing innovative value-add solutions consisting of forms, workflows, product selection, product configuration, integration with third party systems, automated order entry etc. in tight collaboration with the Value Center IT Business Relationship Managers and business stakeholders. This flexible platform provides our company with a competitive edge to improve business performance with agility and speed, integrating with upstream and downstream business applications (ERP, PLM/PDM, etc.).

This role will also play a key part in a strategic initiative focused on consolidating and decommissioning legacy applications into the ePrism platform. The Business Analyst will lead the analysis, design, and configuration required to migrate business processes, ensuring continuity, improved efficiency and alignment with the ePrism framework.

Essential Responsibilities
The IT Business Analyst is responsible for business, functional analysis & ePrism platform configuration for solution development projects and enhancements.

This person will bridge the gap between business requirements and the platform’s capabilities, understanding business processes/needs/challenges, analyzing data, and configuring/implementing solutions to optimize the entire business process and ePrism product lifecycle, from ideation, design (process and UI), configuration, testing, training and ongoing application maintenance through a typical software development lifecycle.

This is an exciting hands-on role where you will be challenged to understand key business problems / needs and creates solutions that ensure optimal performance and usability. Some key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Legacy System Analysis: Analyze legacy systems and business processes to define target-state solutions within ePrism, identifying gaps, improvements and optimization opportunities.
• Application Migration & Configuration: Lead and support the migration of existing business applications into the ePrism platform, including process analysis, requirements mapping and solution configuration (50% of the working time will be related to this responsibility).
• Stakeholder Communication: Act as a liaison between business users and technical teams. Facilitate workshops, demos, and status meetings. Manage change requests and prioritize enhancements.
• Design and Implementation: Design screens, buttons, configure actions and rules to meet business requirements and enhance user experience.
• Testing: Develop, implement, and execute test plans and scenarios to validate configurations and development, ensuring successful deliverables.
• Documentation: Create and update documentation related to software configurations, functional design specifications, user guides and change logs.
• Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve configuration-related issues to ensure smooth operation of software applications.
• Collaboration: Work closely with other business and IT stakeholders to ensure the final product aligns with the functional design specifications and customer requirements.
• Change Management: Systematically manage, organize, and control changes in software products throughout their development lifecycle to ensure consistency, reliability, and maintainability.
• User Training: Train end-users and create user guides or training materials. Provide post-deployment support and gather feedback for improvements.

Position Requirements
Education:

• Bachelor’s Degree required; Information Technology or Business Administration degree preferred

Experience:

• 5 years of experience as a Business Analyst actively participating in all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), including requirements gathering and refinement, solution design, and user acceptance testing.
• 7+ years of overall experience in software development projects, with active involvement, showing a well-rounded background in the sector.
• Proven background in Functional or Enterprise System Administration on highly configurable enterprise platforms (e.g., BPM, CRM, ESM), particularly in roles involving the adaptation of systems to meet business needs.
• Experience in application migration, system consolidation or legacy system decommissioning projects will be considered a strong asset.
• Proven experience in complex transformation initiatives involving process redesign, data migration or platform transitions.
• Experience in developing Business Process Management tools / frameworks is highly desired.
• Experience in project coordination, actively supporting planning, tracking, and stakeholder engagement, will be considered a strong asset.
• Diverse experience working with various business operations or functions will be highly valued
• Experience in Service Delivery Model implementation and maintenance is a plus.
• Demonstrated ability to analyze problems, think strategically, and find creative solutions.
• Flexibility to adapt to changing project requirements and timelines.
• Strong decision-making skills in high-pressure situations.

Skills/Knowledge:.

• Excellent analytical and planning skills, with proficiency in software development / configuration environments.
• Proven business and systems analysis skills, along with expertise in test planning, execution, and troubleshooting.
• Proficiency in requirements analysis and refinement , use case documentation, and modeling tools such as MS Visio or Draw.io for visualizing business processes and system interactions.
• Ability to develop and maintain project-related documents, such as Scope, Functional Design, Requirements Traceability Matrices, work instructions, training materials and user guides.
• Effective oral and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate technical and business concepts clearly to stakeholders.
• Strong time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and escalate risks/issues when necessary.
• Ability to understand and align with the company’s business processes, backed by strong analytical and technical acumen.
• Excellent collaboration and teamwork skills, with the ability to work across different IT departments.
• Basic SQL knowledge and familiarity with will be considered an asset
• Exposure to low-code configuration, including the use of simple expressions and functions to configure logic and support application behavior, will be considered an asset.
