What Role You Will Play In Our Team
As a
Network Engineer
, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and operating the company’s network backbone, supporting globally distributed environments.

You will help ensure secure, reliable, and high-performance connectivity across on-premises and cloud environments. This includes working with modern networking technologies, improving observability, and contributing to automation and continuous improvement of network operations.

While this role covers a broad range of networking technologies, we are hiring for multiple teams. We value strong experience in some of these areas and a willingness to learn others, you are not expected to meet every requirement to apply.

What you will do:

  • Design, implement, and operate network solutions across LAN, WAN, and hybrid environments
  • Ensure network performance, availability, and reliability across global infrastructure
  • Strengthen network monitoring and enhance observability to improve troubleshooting capabilities
  • Support incident investigation, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis
  • Collaborate with teams to support business requirements and network evolution
  • Contribute to automation and continuous improvement of network operations
  • Work with vendors and internal teams to maintain and enhance network infrastructure
  • Support network security practices including firewalls, segmentation, and access control

About You:
Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field (must be graduated)
  • 2+ years of experience in Network Engineering, Infrastructure, or related roles
  • Experience working with enterprise network environments (LAN/WAN)
  • Understanding of core networking concepts (routing, switching, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP)
  • Familiarity with network protocols such as BGP
  • Experience with at least one major networking vendor (Cisco, Juniper, Versa, or similar)
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Experience working in collaborative or Agile environments
  • Good English communication skills (written and spoken)

Nice to have:

  • Experience with SD-WAN, wireless networks, or advanced routing architectures
  • Exposure to network observability tools (Datadog, ThousandEyes, or similar)
  • Knowledge of network security concepts (firewalls, ACLs, authentication)
  • Experience with scripting or automation (Python, Ansible, Terraform, or similar)
  • Experience with cloud networking (Azure, AWS, or GCP)
  • Experience working with global or distributed network environments
  • Experience interacting with vendors and third-party providers

Tus Desafíos

  • Gestión de Infraestructura & Plataforma: Planificar, instalar, configurar, actualizar y administrar clústeres de Red Hat OpenShift (versión 4.x o superior) en entornos bare metal, virtualizados o multi-cloud.
  • Administración Linux & Automatización: Gestionar sistemas operativos Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL 7/8/9) y automatizar tareas de administración utilizando Ansible (Ansible Tower/AWX), Bash o Python.
  • Monitoreo & Seguridad: Optimizar el rendimiento del clúster, administrar almacenamiento, SDN, Ingress, políticas de RBAC, certificados TLS, claves SSH y herramientas de monitoreo (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK/Loki).
  • Alta Disponibilidad & CI/CD: Participar en la definición de arquitecturas de HA, backup, DR e integración con Git, Jenkins y Nexus para el despliegue de aplicaciones.

  • OpenShift & Linux: Experiencia sólida en instalación, operación y arquitectura de Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform (v4.x+) y administración avanzada de RHEL 7/8/9.
  • Automatización: Manejo fluido de Ansible (deseable Ansible Tower / AWX) para la automatización de la infraestructura.
  • Networking & Contenedores: Dominio de arquitecturas Kubernetes, SDN, Ingress y Persistent Volumes.

  • Background Red Hat: Profesional con experiencia fuertemente ligada a la marca y reconocimiento técnico en el mercado.

The Job

  • Help define and execute GoFundMe's multi-year payments engineering strategy, building scalable and innovative payment capabilities that grow giving and advance our mission.

  • Establish and maintain high standards for reliability, observability, security, testing, operational readiness, and incident response across payments systems, including participating in escalation for critical incidents.
  • Collaborate across engineering teams to evolve shared platforms and technical foundations, ensuring payments capabilities can support new products, markets, and customer experiences over time.
  • Communicate technical strategy, priorities, progress, risks, and trade-offs clearly to engineering leadership and cross-functional stakeholders.

You

  • Are an experienced engineering leader with a strong background building and operating payments, fintech, financial services, commerce, or other high-scale transactional systems.
  • Have 10+ years of relevant software engineering experience, including experience managing and developing high-performing engineering teams.
  • Have a track record of hiring, coaching, and growing engineers at different levels while creating an inclusive, collaborative, and high-accountability team environment.
  • Have strong technical judgment and experience guiding the architecture and evolution of complex distributed systems.
  • Understand the challenges involved in building reliable financial systems, including data integrity, consistency, resiliency, security, scalability, and operational excellence.
