Job Description
As a Junior .Net Developer you will:

  • Analyse, and understand business and technical requirements and work with clients across different domains and industries
  • Produce high-quality design deliverables that describe how the solution will accommodate business and technical requirements
  • Design, develop, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable code using the best practices and design patterns
  • Conduct unit and manual testing and deliver high-quality solutions.
  • Identify bottlenecks, bugs and devise solutions to troubleshoot and address issues
  • Work in an agile, international environment with experienced and skilled colleagues in Warsaw and Europe
  • Plan and organize your own work and accurately report issues and progress in a timely manner
  • Identify areas for own personal development
  • You will get a chance to work with different programming languages and technologies as those vary from project to project, a large part of our tech stack is Microsoft (.NET Core, C#, Entity Framework Core) with automated deployments utilizing tools like Azure DevOps, Docker, SonarQube, and Git

Qualifications

  • A Bachelor's or Master’s degree in a relevant IT specialization is required

Job Description

As part of Endava's strategic partnership with WTW, who provide data-driven, insight-led solutions in the areas of people, risk and capital, we're building dedicated software engineering teams to support WTW's Insurance Consulting and Technology Division.

WTW's Insurance Consulting and Technology business is a global leader in P&C, Life and Health insurance software and advisory services, with over 1,700 colleagues across 35 markets. More than 1,000 insurers worldwide trust our combination of advisory insight and advanced software to help them navigate complexity and drive sustainable growth.

Joining Endava, you'll work exclusively with WTW to help embed AI-enabled engineering practices, modern ways of working and deep insurance technology expertise, contributing to the next generation of products and services for insurers worldwide. Working as part of a dedicated team established through a Build-Operate-Transfer (BOT) model, you'll collaborate closely with WTW while building your career as an Endava employee, supporting the long-term success of this strategic partnership.

About the Role

In this role, you will work within a cross-functional product team responsible for modernising the user experience, backend services and cloud platform capabilities of one of WTW’s strategic cloud platforms.

You will contribute to a business-critical distributed compute platform that executes large-scale insurance modelling workloads across the organisation. The platform dynamically provisions Azure compute resources, runs computationally intensive jobs submitted by multiple business applications and provides a shared cloud foundation for analytical services.

The role combines frontend and backend development, cloud-native engineering and modern software engineering practices. You’ll help replace legacy technologies, rebuild AngularJS portals, modernise backend services, introduce Infrastructure as Code, migrate workloads to Azure Container Apps and improve deployment automation and operational resilience.

Working alongside experienced platform engineers, architects, product owners, DevOps engineers and QA specialists, you’ll help transform the current platform into a modern Azure-native platform while gaining deep knowledge of cloud platform engineering and distributed systems.

What Success Looks Like

In this role you will:

  • Contribute to meaningful modernisation outcomes across the platform and related services.
  • Deliver high-quality frontend and backend changes that are secure, maintainable and easy to operate.
  • Improve platform reliability, scalability and performance through well-tested engineering changes.
  • Apply agreed engineering standards, coding practices and review feedback consistently.
  • Support faster, more predictable delivery by contributing to automation, CI/CD and DevOps improvements.

Application Development

  • Develop modern Angular applications replacing legacy AngularJS user and administration portals.
  • Design, develop and maintain .NET backend services supporting distributed compute workloads.
  • Build and enhance REST APIs consumed by multiple business applications.
  • Modernise legacy platform functionality while preserving business continuity.
  • Implement scalable, maintainable and secure software following modern engineering practices.

Platform Modernization

  • Participate in migration towards Azure Container Apps and containerised workloads.
  • Support Infrastructure as Code implementation using OpenTofu/Terraform.
  • Contribute to cloud-native platform modernization initiatives.
  • Participate in modernisation of deployment pipelines and release automation.
  • Help improve platform scalability, maintainability and operational resilience.

Engineering Excellence

  • Write unit, integration and automated tests ensuring software quality and reliability.
  • Participate in code reviews and technical discussions.
  • Apply Clean Code principles, modern software design patterns and engineering best practices.
  • Support continuous integration and continuous delivery initiatives.
  • Contribute to zero-downtime deployment improvements.

Operations & Collaboration

  • Collaborate closely with Product Owners, Architects, QA Engineers, DevOps Engineers and fellow Software Engineers.
  • Participate in production support and on-call rotation as part of the engineering team.
  • Contribute to troubleshooting, root cause analysis and continuous platform improvements.
  • Share knowledge and actively participate in building the engineering capability.

Qualifications

Software Engineering

  • 4–6 years of commercial software development experience.
  • Strong experience with C#, modern .NET and ASP.NET.
  • Strong experience with Angular and TypeScript.
  • Experience designing and developing RESTful APIs.
  • Good understanding of object-oriented programming and modern software engineering principles.

Cloud & Platform Engineering

  • Experience developing applications on Microsoft Azure.
  • Experience with Azure DevOps, Git and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Experience working with Docker and containerised applications.
  • Understanding of Infrastructure as Code principles, with the ability and willingness to work with tools such as OpenTofu or Terraform.
  • Understanding of cloud-native application development principles.

Engineering Practices

  • Experience writing unit and integration tests.
  • Understanding of Clean Code principles and software design patterns.
  • Experience working in Agile Scrum teams.
  • Ability to work within a collaborative cross-functional engineering team.

Additional Information

“For this position, the gross base salary
starts from PLN 15 267 PLN Gross per month
(full-time employment contract), determined using objective and gender-neutral criteria including skillset, experience and role responsibilities.

How do we work?

We’re looking for a Sr. Backend Engineer with experience as a developer and architect of C++ applications. You’ll be joining the OANDA engineering team that owns the backend of a renowned trading platform used by our customers to analyse global currency markets and trade forex and CFDs. Your contributions will impact the thousands of customers who trade billions of dollars in volume on our platform every day. You’ll also leverage the latest technologies to build and deploy our systems.

The Backend Team works with modern C++ and Python to build high performing and reliable solutions enabling our customers to trade more effectively while improving profitability for the company through our in-house risk management system.

As our Senior Software Engineer, you will:

  • Work within a Linux environment to research, design, test, implement, deploy, and maintain online and backend trading and data services infrastructure applications.
  • Collaborate closely with OANDA’s business and technical leadership to understand business requirements and with development team members to design and implement applications, systems, and programs.
  • Shepherd releases from creation to release, including maintenance and improvement of our CI/CD pipelines.
  • Team mentoring
  • Joining on call support occasionally (rotation based, once per month)

Senior Tools Engineer
to join our team and help shape the storytelling systems that will define our new AAA IP.

In this role, you’ll take ownership of designing and implementing powerful, user-friendly narrative tools that empower writers, cinematic designers, and quest designers to craft compelling, emotionally resonant, and highly interactive experiences. From complex branching dialogues to cinematic scene authoring and narrative logic systems, you’ll play a key role in building the tools that bring our stories to life.

You’ll help us by…

  • Designing, implementing, and maintaining tools that support cinematic design, branching dialogue systems, and narrative logic workflows.
  • Partnering closely with narrative designers, writers, cinematic teams, and gameplay engineers to understand their needs and deliver tools that enhance storytelling capabilities.
  • Supporting the development of a robust conversation editor and cinematic authoring environment that integrates with our gameplay and mission systems.
  • Building intuitive, non-destructive, and visual editing tools for branching dialogue, VO management, localization support, scene playback, and sequencing.
  • Identifying and improving narrative workflows and pipelines for greater productivity and iteration speed.
  • Maintaining and evolving our proprietary UI framework or integrating third-party solutions where appropriate.

You’re awesome because you have…

  • 4+ years of experience as a professional programmer, ideally with a focus on game development or tooling.
  • Solid knowledge of C++ and development best practices.
  • Experience building tools for narrative-driven games (dialogue editors, cinematic tools, scripting systems, etc.).
  • A strong understanding of branching story logic, dialogue trees, and cinematic pipelines in AAA productions.
  • Practical experience with UI frameworks such as Qt, ImGui, WPF, or similar, with an eye for building elegant and efficient authoring interfaces.
  • An appreciation for the needs of narrative and cinematic teams, with a user-focused mindset and an iterative approach to tool development.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to bridge the gap between engineering and creative disciplines.
  • Passion for storytelling in games, and a desire to build the best possible experience for both players and creators.

Bonus points for…

  • Experience with cinematic or dialogue systems in games like The Witcher 3, Cyberpunk 2077, Dragon Age, or Mass Effect.
  • Familiarity with VO pipelines, localization workflows, and runtime scene playback.
  • Knowledge of narrative scripting languages or node-based visual scripting systems.
  • Experience working with narrative design tools such as Articy:Draft, Twine, Ink, or proprietary equivalents.
