Role Summary
As aJunior Test Automation Engineer, you will help improve the quality and reliability of our Digital Commerce platforms by developing and maintaining automated tests using modern technologies such asPlaywright.
You will work closely with developers, QA engineers, product owners, and other engineering teams while building your technical skills in automation, software development, CI/CD, and modern quality engineering practices.
What You’ll Do
- Develop and maintain automated tests usingPlaywright for web applications and key user journeys.
- Create and update automatedregression, smoke, functional, and cross-browser tests.
- Build reusable test components, page objects, fixtures, and test data with guidance from senior engineers.
- Support integration of automated tests intoCI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps or similar platforms.
- Execute automated and manual testing as needed during sprint and release cycles.
- Analyze test failures, investigate defects, and work with developers and QA engineers to resolve issues.
- Follow automation standards, coding best practices, and established test framework guidelines.
- Maintain test documentation, results, and defect information.
- Collaborate with QA engineers, developers, product owners, and other team members in anAgile environment.

- 60–70% UI/E2E Automated Test Development Maintenance
- 15–20% Functional E2E Testing, Investigation Release Validation
- 10–15% Collaboration, Learning Engineering Improvement

What We’re Looking For
- 1–3 years of experience in software testing, quality assurance, or test automation.
- Hands-on experience withPlaywright or a similar web automation tool.
- Basic to intermediate programming experience withTypeScript, JavaScript, C#, Python, or a similar language.
- Understanding of automated testing concepts, page objects, reusable components, and maintainable test design.
- Familiarity withGit, pull requests, source control, and basic CI/CD concepts.
- Basic knowledge ofAzure DevOps or similar development and delivery platforms.
- Understanding of functional, regression, smoke, and integration testing.
- Good troubleshooting, analytical, communication, and teamwork skills.
- Understanding ofAgile/Scrum software development practices.
- Willingness to learn modern automation tools, engineering practices, and quality processes.
Nice to Have
- Experience testinge-commerce or digital commerce platforms.
- BasicAPI testing experience using Bruno, Postman, RestSharp, or similar tools.
- BasicNoSQL/SQLexperience.
- Exposure toAzure Cloud environments.
- Exposure toDocker, Kubernetes, or containerized test environments.
- Basic knowledge ofJMeter, performance testing, monitoring, or observability tools.
- Exposure toAI-assisted testing, code generation, or quality engineering workflows.
- Familiarity with accessibility, visual regression, or basic security testing concepts.
What Success Looks Like
- You consistently deliver reliable automated tests for important Digital Commerce workflows.
- You gradually increase automation coverage and help reduce repetitive manual regression testing.
- You can independently investigate common automation failures and defects.
- Your tests follow established framework standards and remain readable and maintainable.
- You actively contribute to sprint goals and collaborate effectively with developers and QA engineers.
- You continuously improve your knowledge ofPlaywright, programming, CI/CD, and quality engineering.
- You grow toward taking ownership of increasingly complex automation scenarios and technical tasks.
