Lead Data Engineer
to
architect
, design, build, and optimize enterprise-scale
ETL/ELT
data pipelines in a high-volume data warehouse ecosystem. The ideal candidate brings
deep technical expertise
in large-scale data movement patterns and performance tuning, along with functional understanding of telecommunications domains such as billing, product, customer, and operational interfaces.

Main Requirements
Deep expertise in Python, Databricks, Snowflake, Kafka, Spark, and databases, including building scalable batch and streaming pipelines, data modeling, and data quality practices.

Big plus:
Deep experience leveraging agentic solutions practices to improve productivity, reduce defects, and accelerate delivery timelines.

As a
Lead Data Engineer
, you will design, develop, and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines for large-volume enterprise data and ensure robust data quality checks and governance practices end-to-end.

Core Responsibilities

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with product and data engineering teams to scope, define, and translate complex business needs into technical requirements.
  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines for large-volume enterprise data in Snowflake (or similar platforms).
  • Implement robust data loading frameworks (batch, incremental, CDC, micro-batch, and streaming where applicable) with clear SLAs and operational observability.
  • Build reusable automation for ingestion, transformation, testing, deployment, and monitoring across data lifecycle stages.
  • Build and enforce data quality checks, reconciliation controls, lineage capture, and metadata standards for production-grade reliability.
  • Partner with architecture, product, operations, and governance teams to ensure secure, compliant, and high-quality data products.
  • Leverage AI-fueled coding (AIFC) practices to improve productivity, reduce defects, and accelerate delivery timelines.
  • Participate in code reviews, contribute to best practices, and mentor peers on data engineering technologies and frameworks.

Technical Skills

  • Deep experience with Python and databases (SQL/NoSQL) for building production-grade data solutions.
  • Deep experience with Databricks and Spark for large-scale batch and streaming processing.
  • Deep experience with Snowflake for data warehousing, performance optimization, and secure data access.
  • Deep experience with Kafka and real-time streaming data integration patterns.
  • Deep experience with cloud, Docker, and CI/CD practices for scalable, reliable deployments.
  • Deep experience with AI-powered IDEs and tools (e.g., Visual Studio, GitHub Copilot, Windsurf, Cursor).
  • Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Compensation

The individual starting salary within this range will depend on relevant factors such as the candidate’s experience, expertise, skills, and education or training.

Requirements

  • Exposure to AI/ML tools (e.g., generative AI platforms, predictive analytics, ChatGPT, Copilot) and willingness to adopt emerging technologies
  • Strong analytical and data management skills; proficiency in Microsoft Excel required
