Frontend Engineer

Fullstack Software Engineer (Zürich, 100%)

Loki Robotics

Remotefulltime

Apply on the employer's site

Role description

We are hiring a Fullstack Software Engineer

⏰ Start date: ASAP

📍Zürich, Switzerland (on-site, remote not possible)

🦾 Full-time (100%)

Your role:

As a SWE you will make the magic of a
fleet
of robots happen. You will work on the backend that lets robots stream telemetry, enables operators to dispatch missions, and gives customers a live dashboard. You know that a reliable backend needs monitoring and alerting, that APIs need backwards compatibility, and that automated deployments and staging environments are your secret weapon to solid uptime.

What you'll be doing:

  • Work on customer-facing applications such as a fleet dashboard, mission control, and quality reports
  • Develop internal tooling for engineers and operators: sessions reviews, telemetry dashboards, and the robot control from the cloud
  • Own the backend of the robot fleet from telemetry ingestion and command APIs to third-party integration with customer systems
  • Contribute to the cloud infrastructure by improving the alerting and observability, introducing a staging environment, and solidifying the deployment automation

What you should have:

  • 5+ years in a professional SWE environment building production software
  • Experience in a typed language (Rust, C++, Go,...)
  • API design experience such as gRPC or REST and understanding of versioning and authentication
  • Web development experience across frontend and backend (TypeScript, SvelteKit,...)
  • Experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL): Knowledge of schema design, backups, migrations, and access control
  • Linux fluency such as bash, containers, systemd, networking
  • Experience deploying and operating what you build: IaC, monitoring, debugging in production, uptime and SLAs

These skills are a plus:

  • Rust in production (Axum, tokio, sqlx,...)
  • Familiarity with data pipelines and time-series DBs
  • Authentication and authorization systems such as OAuth2/OIDC, mTLS/PKI
  • Experience with fleets of connected devices (IoT, automotive, robotics, drones, edge computing)
  • Observability and monitoring infrastructure (Grafana, OTEL, VictoriaMetrics, vmalert)

You will be the first SWE dedicated to everything that happens off the robot. Your work will be central to the success of our customer deployments and engineering culture.

Don't worry if you don't hit every check-mark. We value people who learn fast and care about building great products. Just give it a go and apply.

Frontend Engineer

Senior Fullstack Developer - Freelance (Ruby on Rails & React)

Monterail

Remotefulltime

Apply on the employer's site

Role description

Location: Remote

  • Collaboration: Freelance, via Monterail Tech Network
  • Start: ASAP The project

Some products you use every day without ever seeing them. This is one of those.

Our client is a well-established B2D (business-to-developer) SaaS platform -real-time infrastructure that moves billions of messages a day for developers around the world. Live chat, dashboards, collaborative apps, state synchronization: if it updates in front of your eyes, there's a good chance technology like this is running underneath.

The role
This is a product-minded engineering role, not ticket execution. The team is deliberately moving away from reactive delivery toward engineers who understand customers and drive outcomes. You'll take features from a loose concept to shipped and monitored in production — dashboards, billing UIs, documentation platforms, developer-facing tools — proposing what should be built, not waiting for a roadmap to tell you.

And here's the fun part: the customers are developers. You'll use the product yourself and fix the frustrations you'd want fixed.

What We're Looking For

  • A fullstack craftsman. You're strong in Ruby on Rails and React and comfortable moving across the stack - from complex dashboards to sleek documentation platforms
  • A DevEx champion. You have natural empathy for other developers and genuinely care about the developer experience of the tools you build
  • Comfortable with ambiguity. You thrive when the brief is vague. You identify problems, propose solutions, and ship with minimal hand-holding
  • An owner. You see features through their entire lifecycle — from the first line of code to the final metric in production. Quality issues that surface after release are still yours
  • A proactive communicator. You give realistic estimates, meet your commitments, and speak up early if a timeline is at risk
  • Fluent with AI coding assistants. The team uses them actively for planning, prototyping, and iteration — you should too, while owning the correctness and quality of everything that ships
  • Design and UX intuition. You notice when a flow feels wrong and you're not afraid to say so

Tech stack
React + TypeScript on the frontend, Ruby on Rails on the backend, some Node/TypeScript services, PostgreSQL underneath.

Nice to have

  • Experience building developer-first products or working on B2D platforms
  • Experience with products grown through product-led growth (PLG)
  • Background in real-time, messaging, or infrastructure-adjacent products

How the collaboration works
This is a freelance engagement through the Monterail Tech Network - you work with us on a B2B basis, embedded in the client's team, with Monterail handling the partnership side. Read more about what freelancing with us looks like at Monterail Tech Network.

Sound like you?
Send us your resume — and if you've built anything for developers before, we'd love to hear about it.

Nice To Have

  • Experience migrating legacy codebases to modular architectures (e.g., feature-sliced or similar).
  • Strong background in data visualization and UX for analytical products.
  • Contributions to design systems or internal UI libraries.

What you'll do:

  • Design and ship end-to-end features in the dashboard, including paywall configuration, A/B experimentation, and analytics workflows.
  • Build complex, data-heavy UIs: large tables with advanced filtering, column management, presets, interactive charts, and time-series comparisons.
  • Evolve the frontend architecture toward clear modular boundaries and reusable UI components, while steadily modernizing legacy parts of the codebase.
  • Optimize performance and reliability at scale using virtualization, code-splitting, optimized loading states, and consistent client-side data handling.
  • Collaborate closely with design and backend teams to define API contracts, shape product requirements, and deliver high-quality UX that supports actionable decision-making.

What we offer:

  • Strong product with industry-best metrics. Adapty is among the top 5 fastest-growing SaaS companies.
  • Exceptional compensation directly tied to your results.
  • Direct communication and ownership. No bureaucracy, no politics, just impact.
  • Flexible remote work. Join us from anywhere or work onsite in our Belgrade or London offices.
  • Professional support: language learning, sports, health insurance, laptop coverage, and more.

Join us!
