What To Expect
Tesla is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to work towards modeling and optimization of HVAC and thermal management systems. This person will be working as part of the Tesla thermal systems team located in Athens, Greece, towards improving HVAC system modeling and performance optimization.

What You'll Do

  • Design and develop HVAC systems (including heating, cooling, ventilation, air distribution, and controls) for commercial, industrial, and institutional projects.

  • Perform load calculations, energy modeling, and system simulations using industry-standard software (e.g., HAP, EnergyPlus, or equivalent).

  • Prepare detailed engineering drawings, specifications, and construction documents using AutoCAD, Revit, or similar tools.

  • Ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards (ASHRAE, IECC, NFPA, etc.).

  • Evaluate and recommend energy-efficient technologies, such as VRF systems, heat recovery, demand-controlled ventilation, and smart building controls.

  • Responsible for developing advanced Matlab functions to model HVAC and thermal system performance and perform coupled thermal, fluid, and mechanical performance optimization.

What You'll Bring

  • Fluency in English.

  • Studies in Mechanical Engineering.

  • Strong mathematical and physics background.

  • Very good understanding of thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, and heat transfer.

  • Strong Matlab/Python programming skills.

  • Experience analyzing HVAC systems using simulation tools.

  • Understanding of optimization algorithms.

The following will be considered as plus:

  • HVAC systems, refrigeration cycles, and control fundamentals.

  • Experience with thermal and mechanical modeling.

  • Understanding of building or vehicle thermal management.

  • Experience with numerical optimization and visualization of multi-objective tradeoffs.

Softwire are hiring a Senior Software Engineer on a contract basis to join an established team working on an exciting project within the Media sector.

What you'll be doing:

  • Working 100% remotely as part of an established, distributed development team
  • Owning your code end-to-end — designing, developing, and testing to release-candidate quality Scoping work and creating well-structured Jira tickets
  • Carrying out code reviews and testing your own and others' code
  • Contributing to estimation and sprint planning
  • Producing clear technical documentation (Confluence experience a plus)
  • Engaging daily with clients on calls — friendly, consultative, and collaborative
  • Actively participating in scrum ceremonies (stand-ups, retros, and more)
  • Supporting and lifting up your wider team

What we're looking for:

  • Strong problem-solving skills and a self-starter mindset
  • Ability to work independently and deliver in a timely manner
