Role Summary
Working closely with the Test Automation team, you will support the complete lifecycle of test systems, from concept development and hardware integration to assembly, validation, deployment, and documentation.

This is a multidisciplinary engineering role combining elements of mechatronics, automation, electronics, software, and mechanical design. The successful candidate will work with sensors, actuators, embedded devices, cabling, instrumentation, and test equipment while participating in the development of custom test fixtures and automated test stations.

The role also includes exposure to software development and automation, where the successful candidate will support the creation of scripts, test applications, and engineering tools used for equipment control, data acquisition, process automation, and production support activities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the development and integration of automated test systems used for product verification and production testing.
  • Integrate sensors, actuators, switches, motors, and measurement devices into custom test fixtures and stations.
  • Perform wiring, cabling, connector assembly, and signal interfacing activities for test systems.
  • Assist in the setup, configuration, and troubleshooting of electronic and electromechanical subsystems.
  • Develop and maintain simple software tools and scripts to support test automation, data acquisition, reporting, and engineering workflows.
  • Assist in the integration of hardware and software components within automated test systems.
  • Support communication with instruments, sensors, and embedded devices through standard interfaces and protocols.
  • Participate in debugging and troubleshooting of automation software, test applications, and integrated systems.
  • Participate in test station validation, debugging, and performance verification activities.
  • Support the assembly, maintenance, and continuous improvement of production test equipment.
  • Design mechanical components, enclosures, brackets, and fixture elements using CAD tools.
  • Create and optimize 3D-printable parts for prototyping and production-support applications.
  • Produce technical documentation, assembly instructions, wiring diagrams, and manufacturing workflows.
  • Collaborate with Test Automation, Electronics, Mechanical Design, and Production teams to deliver reliable and maintainable test solutions.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechatronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
  • Understanding of mechatronic systems, including sensors, actuators, motors, switches, and signal interfaces.
  • Basic knowledge of electronics, wiring, connectors, measurements, and troubleshooting techniques.
  • Familiarity with automation concepts and industrial control systems.
  • Basic programming or scripting experience using Python, LabVIEW, C#, or similar languages and development environments.
  • Understanding of software-hardware interaction, including communication with instruments, sensors, and external devices.
  • Experience with CAD software such as PTC Creo, SolidWorks, CATIA, or similar mechanical design tools.
  • Familiarity with 3D printing technologies and design considerations.
  • Hands-on engineering mindset with enthusiasm for laboratory work, assembly, and system integration.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary engineering team.
  • Good communication skills and fluency in English.
