Frontend Engineer

Senior Product Engineer (AI-native) (m/f/x)

nyra health

Viennasenior

Apply on the employer's site

Role description

nyra health builds the digital tools that make neurological rehabilitation work inside and outside clinic walls: myReha, the patient therapy app, and nyra insights, the clinician platform. 100+ clinics, 100K+ patients across DACH. 3× MRR growth target for 2026. €20M Series A. Team of 30+, scaling to :50 this year. Ownership, excellence and patients first: that's how we drive progress together.

This is a product engineer role for someone who designs and builds. You'll own our clinician-facing product nyra insights end to end and shape rough problems to a polished, shipped surface that 100+ clinics use every day. You care how the product looks and feels, you build with AI, and you'd rather ship and iterate than wait for a spec.

What you'll work on

  • The clinician platform (nyra insights): patient management, therapy planning, progress tracking and documentation. Clinicians are raising the standards of digital neurotherapy, and you'll own how it works and how it feels.
  • Content Studio: our AI-powered surface where therapists generate personalised therapy materials using nyra AI. You'll shape a genuinely AI-native product that simplifies therapists' lives and improves patients' outcomes.
  • Craft and design: you own the interaction, the polish and the accessibility of what you ship, across browsers and devices. You design and build.
  • Building with AI: you use AI daily to move fast, and you build AI into the product itself, from LLM-powered clinician workflows to smart defaults that save therapists time.
  • Fullstack ownership: you ship end to end in React, Next.js, TypeScript, Tailwind and Node.js, keep the codebase clean and fast, and integrate cleanly with the patient-facing myReha app.

What you bring

Must-have

  • Design-minded builder: strong visual and interaction taste, and some digital products you've personally designed and shipped that prove it.
  • Product ownership: you drive features from a high level problem to something live. You enjoy talking to users, making the calls, and treating the outcome as yours rather than waiting to be told what to build.
  • Builds with AI: LLMs and AI tools are already core to how you work, and you've built AI into real products.
  • Fullstack range: you're genuinely strong in Next.js and TypeScript, comfortable across Node.js and can own a feature all the way to the database.
  • Senior: :4+ years shipping production web products, with a track record of owning features from concept to deployment.

Nice to have

  • Design systems or component-library leadership.
  • Healthcare, medtech or another regulated domain (helpful, not required: the domain is learnable).
  • Deeper backend or data-modelling experience (Postgres, Firebase).

Why nyra

  • You own the product: this is a real design-engineer seat in a health company that cares how the product feels. You'll shape what every clinician sees, with direct product ownership from day one.
  • Patients first, always: everything we build is measured by whether it helps patients recover.
  • Ownership and direct access: you'll see the direct impact of your work and be accountable for outcomes, not just outputs. Founders, ML engineers and practising clinicians are in the same room, decisions move fast, and you're part of them.
  • Transparent, direct culture: open communication and honest feedback are how we operate.
  • AI-native: every team member has Claude Pro and is expected to use AI tools daily.
  • Some of the best Mario Kart drivers in the Austrian startup scene 😉

What we offer

  • Top-of-market salary
  • Stock options: 4-year vest, 1-year cliff; vested options stay yours if you move on
  • Remote-friendly, with a preference for Austria and Germany and some flexibility across Europe. If you're remote, we'll set up regular office visits; if you're local, our office in Vienna’s 1st district is there whenever you want it
  • Hardware budget: €2,500 (engineering & design roles)
  • Wiener Linien Jahreskarte and Swapfiets (Vienna-based)
  • L&D budget
  • Claude Pro + AI tools
  • Regular team events

The process

  • Intro call (:30 min): background, motivation, the role.
  • Portfolio + build session (:75 min) with the hiring manager and 1–2 engineers: walk us through product you've designed and shipped, then a short, practical build together. No leetcode, no whiteboard puzzles.
  • Founders' interview (:30 min): your approach, your philosophy, and how you'd contribute to nyra's next chapter.

Product Lead & Software Engineer (SaaS / AI) (w/m/d)

The role

We are looking for an experienced software engineer who enjoys building products and wants to take on more responsibility.

In many engineering roles, the important customer and product decisions have already been made before development begins. This role is different. You will speak directly with customers, understand their problems, decide with us what should become part of Confideck and then help build it.

About half of your time will remain hands-on engineering. The other half will be spent leading customer projects and shaping our product together with our founders, development team, business team and regulatory specialists.

You do not need to have worked as a Product Manager. What matters is that you are a strong engineer, communicate well and want to take product responsibility for more than implementing predefined tickets.

“Lead” initially refers to ownership rather than people management. As Confideck grows, you will have the opportunity to build and lead a team of your own.

Note: Native German and professional fluency in English required.
About Confideck
Confideck develops software for one of the most complex and impactful industries: MedTech and Pharma.

Our platform helps manufacturers create, maintain and control technical documentation in a structured and audit-ready environment. We automate recurring regulatory work and use AI to make large and complex documentation easier to manage.

More than 1,000 MedTech products are already managed in Confideck, and our customer churn is close to zero. Following a significant increase in demand, we expect growth of approximately 500 percent this year.

We are now looking for someone who can take real responsibility for these projects and help us turn increasing customer demand into an even stronger product.

What you will do

  • Lead enterprise customer projects from the first workshop through implementation, launch and ongoing adoption.
  • Ask the right questions, understand the actual problem and communicate clearly with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Identify needs shared across different customers and turn them into concrete product ideas.
  • Shape our priorities and product roadmap together with the founders and the wider team.
  • Take responsibility for substantial SaaS and AI modules from the first idea to successful production use.
  • Continue writing production code. You can focus more strongly on frontend, backend or AI, depending on your experience.
  • Stay close to customers after launch, answer everyday product questions and use their feedback to improve Confideck.

How we build at Confideck

Confideck is a product company. We do not build isolated customer-specific solutions. New product capabilities often begin with recurring problems we hear from several customers.

In this role, you would speak with customers and our regulatory specialists, identify the broader pattern and decide what should become part of Confideck. You would then shape the solution with us, contribute code yourself and guide the implementation together with our strong engineering team. The result might be a new SaaS module, an AI-powered feature or a broader improvement to the platform.

Our technology

  • Backend: TypeScript, Node.js, NestJS, MongoDB, Redis and Python
  • Frontend: TypeScript, React, Tailwind and Tiptap
  • Platform and delivery: Azure, Azure AI services, Docker, Kubernetes, GitHub Actions and Jest

You do not need experience with every technology in our stack. A TypeScript background is ideal, but strong experience with another modern technology stack is also welcome.

What you bring

  • At least four (4) years of professional software development experience.
  • Strong engineering skills and experience shipping reliable production software.
  • Expertise in frontend, backend or full-stack development.
  • The ability to understand complex systems and make sensible technical trade-offs.
  • A genuine interest in customers, product decisions and the reasons behind a feature.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • The ability to listen carefully, ask precise questions and explain complex subjects clearly.
  • Confidence leading customer workshops in German and English.
  • A structured and independent working style with strong attention to detail.
  • The ability to keep an entire project in mind and move it forward without requiring constant coordination.
  • Native German and professional fluency in English.

Experience with Product Management, B2B SaaS, applied AI, enterprise software or regulated industries is helpful, but not required.

What you can expect

  • A genuine combination of software engineering, product responsibility and customer ownership
  • Direct influence on what we build and how we build it
  • Responsibility for important product modules and established enterprise customers
  • Close collaboration with our founders and a strong interdisciplinary team
  • The opportunity to work on challenging software and AI problems with real-world impact
  • A clear opportunity to build and lead a team as Confideck grows
  • Remote work or a hybrid setup in Vienna
  • Competitive salary based on your experience (Austrian IT Collective Agreement, IT-KV)
  • Participation in Confideck through our share option plan

We care a lot about our work, but we do not take ourselves too seriously. We are a close and genuinely fun team. Our offsites and team events sometimes get a little crazy. You have been warned. 😉

Hiring process

  • A short introductory call about your experience and what you are looking for
  • A practical session combining software development, product thinking and a realistic customer problem
  • A final conversation with our founders and core team

Ready to build the future of regulatory work?

Send us your LinkedIn profile or résumé at 📧 join@confideck.com
