What You Will Do
As a member of Oliver Wyman’s Data & Analytics team, you will collaborate with colleagues and clients at all levels from your very first day, helping clients solve their most pressing challenges. Our DNA team is committed to developing tailored solutions for clients around the globe, including designing potential solutions for analytical challenges, implementing various prototypes while also assessing their effectiveness, and engaging in discussions with clients and colleagues to share ideas. Your contributions will be invaluable to delivering impactful results for our clients.

Who Can Apply?

  • Bachelor's, Master’s, or PhD in a quantitative discipline from a top academic program (Data Science, Mathematics, Natural Sciences, Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering, etc.)
  • Data-driven mindset and proficiency with numbers, paired with the ability to explain sophisticated data science concepts in an understandable manner to clients and colleagues
  • Ideally, programming skills in Python or R, but more importantly, an eagerness to continuously extend your knowledge of technologies
  • Strong commitment to teamwork and resilience in a creative and constantly changing environment
  • Excellent command of the English and Greek language (verbal and written)
  • Interest and experience in financial services and risk management is a plus
  • Analyst - At least 6 months of previous working experience in specialised consulting firms, top tier banking or financial institutions.
  • Senior Analyst- At least 2 years of previous working experience in specialised consulting firms, top tier banking or financial institutions

  • Strong programming skills in Python, with hands-on experience using Pandas, NumPy, and other data analysis libraries.
  • Experience with visualization libraries in Python, such as Matplotlib, Seaborn, or Plotly
  • Hands-on experience with data visualisation and BI tools, such as Power BI.
  • Solid understanding of statistics and data mining techniques
  • Experience working with relational and non-relational databases
  • Basic knowledge of Machine Learning concepts and techniques, with an interest in applying them to real-world data problems.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with excellent attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment

  • Data management, mining, cleansing and visualization with application on credit risk data
  • Strong skills in programming and quantitative analysis packages (e.g., Python, R, SAS, SPSS) or/and data management (e.g., SQL)
  • Knowledge of risk-related regulatory landscape and requirements

Ideally, you’ll also have

  • Experience in data analysis, data quality, data automation and data management including familiarity with Big Data technologies
  • Solid understanding of advanced statistical, Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning techniques for classification, clustering and forecasting and hands-on experience using programming languages such as Python
  • Experience in working on cloud technologies (e.g., MS Azure, Databricks)
  • Experience in the design and implementation of credit risk model related frameworks (model lifecycle management, development, validation, deployment)
  • Understanding of the credit lifecycle and credit processes (origination, approval, monitoring, workout, and collections)

Role Overview

As a Statistical Analyst, reporting to Measurement Science Supervisor, you will be responsible for coordinating and performing activities in order to meet key deadlines while maintaining and ensuring quality of services. As Statistical Analyst works with large datasets, turning data into insight, the role requires attention to detail and great collaboration and communication skills.

Job Responsibilities

  • Defines, validates & maintains sample for all deliverable services.
  • Analyses data in order to achieve the optimal Market estimation.
  • Monitors & evaluates Market Trends so as to ensure the quality of services.
  • Masters the measures’ definitions and answers related data queries from local client-facing teams.
  • Supports and evaluates new product development by executing various data simulations.
  • Automation and optimization of existing processes.
  • Utilizes client feedback to deploy continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • A minimum of a Master’s degree (MSc) in Statistics, Econometrics, Operational Research or similar quantitative field of study
  • Very good knowledge of one or more of the following: SAS, R or Python
  • Excellent command of MS Office Suite
  • Highly numerate with excellent problem solving skills, self-driven quick learner and genuine interest inattention to detail and quality.
  • Previous working experience in a relevant role, preferably in FMCG sector would be considered an asset
  • Excellent written and verbal skills in English alongside with excellent communication and interpersonal skills to converse effectively across the organization
