We're building a high-growth Berlin-based technology startup, and we're looking for an engineering generalist who refuses to be boxed into traditional software development silos. This is your chance to step up as the company's first GTM Engineer and write the technical playbook for its entire growth engine from scratch.
Why this role matters
The company is scaling rapidly, but sustainable acceleration requires robust, custom infrastructure that standard out-of-the-box SaaS integrations can't support. As the first GTM Engineer, reporting directly to the hiring manager, you'll bridge the gap between engineering and growth by designing the custom pipelines that power the business development function. Without you, market expansion is limited by manual processes; with you, outreach can scale to hyper-velocity.
What you'll do
- Design and implement the core CRM architecture to serve as a single source of truth for all sales and business development activity.
- Build custom API integrations and data pipelines to connect disparate growth tools, so the team is never limited by native platform constraints.
- Own and optimize go-to-market channels, using growth hacking techniques to scale sales development capacity.
- Architect, test, and ship automated workflows that eliminate manual overhead for the business development team.
- Establish telemetry and tracking across all GTM systems to deliver clean, actionable performance data directly to leadership.
What success looks like in the first 90 days
- Month 1: Deeply analyze the current CRM setup, map existing GTM channels, align with the hiring manager on weekly milestones, and ship the first custom integration to resolve the most pressing data bottleneck.
- Month 2–3: Take full end-to-end ownership of CRM architecture, deploy custom API integrations that unite the growth stack, and run automated sales development experiments.
- By end of Q1: A fully integrated, automated, scalable GTM engine running with minimal manual intervention, and a business development team aligned around a reliable, data-backed outbound system.
Who this is a fit for
- Proven track record in GTM engineering, managing growth channels, and designing complex CRM architectures.
- Tool-agnostic generalist with deep technical capability building custom API integrations from scratch.
- Experience in growth hacking, sales development, or engineering automated business development systems.
- Thrives in a highly autonomous, hybrid Berlin environment with weekly structured milestones.
- Prefers building systems from the ground up over narrow, siloed roles.
Culture
The team operates on a collaborative, structured rhythm with clear weekly milestones. It's an environment built for people who thrive on high ownership and direct collaboration rather than rigid, siloed roles — decisions get made quickly and transparently to keep pace with growth.
What you get
- Full technical ownership over the entire growth stack, with zero bureaucratic red tape.
- A collaborative hybrid culture in Berlin focused on rapid shipping and scaling.
- A structured team rhythm with weekly milestones that keep everyone aligned and moving fast.
- Direct collaboration with leadership and quick, transparent decision-making.
