We are looking for an experienced Principal Product Designer with exceptional visual craft, an outstanding eye for detail, and a passion for creating beautifully crafted digital products. You combine strong product thinking with world-class UI execution and a solid technical understanding of modern frontend development.

Your Mission

As a Principal Product Designer, you will create exceptional digital product experiences that combine outstanding usability with exceptional visual craftsmanship, from concept to implementation.

Working closely with the Head of Design, Product Management, and our React and Flutter developers, you will design new features, build beautifully crafted user interfaces, and ensure every design is implemented with precision, consistency, and the highest quality standards.

Product Design

• Design new product features and user interfaces
• Create high-quality screens using our Component Library
• Build interactive high-fidelity prototypes
• Turn ideas into polished Figma designs quickly and efficiently
• Design visually polished user interfaces with exceptional attention to typography, spacing, visual hierarchy, colour, and interaction details
• Present and refine concepts with Product Management and stakeholders
• Continuously improve existing products
• Continuously raise the visual quality and consistency of our digital products

Design System

• Maintain and continuously improve our Figma Component Library
• Create reusable components, variants, and design patterns
• Ensure consistency and scalability across products
• Structure and optimize our Design System for AI-powered workflows, including Claude

Figma & Design Operations

• Keep Figma projects clean, structured, and well-organized
• Follow standards for naming, documentation, and file organization
• Document new components and design solutions
• Continuously improve design workflows and Design-to-Development handover processes

Collaboration & Development

• Work closely with React and Flutter developers throughout the entire product development process
• Proactively hand over approved designs
• Support developers during implementation
• Consider technical requirements early in the design process
• Continuously improve collaboration between Design and Engineering

Design Quality Assurance

• Review implementations in React, Flutter, and Storybook
• Ensure pixel-perfect implementation across all products
• Review visual quality, spacing, typography, iconography, and interaction consistency
• Verify responsiveness, accessibility, and UI consistency across platforms
• Identify and communicate design inconsistencies to continuously improve product quality

What We're Looking For

Product Design

• Several years of experience as a Product Designer or UI Designer
• Exceptional visual craft with an outstanding eye for typography, spacing, hierarchy, colour, and interaction design
• Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Experience designing complex digital products
• Ability to translate complex requirements into intuitive and beautifully crafted user interfaces
• Strong understanding of component-based Design Systems
• A portfolio that demonstrates exceptional visual craftsmanship, combining outstanding usability with beautifully designed digital products

Figma

• Expert-level proficiency in Figma
• Extensive experience with Auto Layout, Components, Variants, and Variables
• Experience building and maintaining Component Libraries
• Advanced prototyping skills
• Ability to work efficiently within large and complex Figma projects

Technical Understanding

• Good understanding of React component architecture and Flutter widget systems
• Excellent understanding of how modern frontend applications are built, and how to design interfaces that are technically feasible, scalable, and easy to implement
• Experience collaborating closely with frontend developers
• Familiarity with Storybook and modern Design-to-Code workflows

Design Excellence

• Outstanding sense of layout, typography, visual hierarchy, and interaction design
• Strong understanding of responsive design and accessibility (WCAG)
• Strong understanding of motion design, transitions, and micro-interactions
• High standards for consistency, quality, and reusability
• Structured, proactive, and detail-oriented working style

• Fluent English, both written and spoken (required)

• Experience in financial services, banking, or insurance
