Job Purpose

The Metrology Process Engineer Intern will support other Engineers in managing, calibrating, and certifying all measurement equipment. The successful candidate will ensure measurement traceability according to national and international standards, guaranteeing strict adherence to product quality requirements.

Education Requirements

  • Scientific degree, e.g., in Physics, Material Science, Chemistry, or Engineering

Key Responsibilities

  • Technical Support: Assist production and quality control teams in interpreting measurement results and analyzing non-conformances to ensure robust manufacturing processes.
  • Operations Support: Support the Metrology area to maximize tool uptime and consistently meet production targets.
  • Technology Roadmap: Provide technical support to production lines to guarantee the execution of BCD and MEMS technology roadmaps.
  • Technology Transfer: Facilitate and support seamless technology transfers between sister wafer fabs.
  • Documentation & Validation: Develop, update, and validate standard operating procedures (SOPs) and work instructions for measurement and testing activities.
  • Continuous Improvement: Drive Continuous Improvement Programs (CIP) focused on defectivity reduction, cost savings, yield enhancement, and process industrialization.
  • Equipment Engineering: Lead new tool selection, define Equipment Procurement Specifications (EPS), and oversee tool installation and start-up.
  • Process Troubleshooting: Partner with Engineering and Production departments to resolve any drifts or anomalies in measurement processes.
  • Calibration Management: Collaborate with dedicated entities to ensure the timely execution of periodic calibrations, both internally and through certified external laboratories.
  • Audits & Certifications: Support the company during internal and external audits (e.g., ISO 9001, IATF 16949), ensuring full metrological compliance with industry standards.

  • Office Automation: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) for data documentation, reporting, and presentations.
  • Data Analysis: Foundational knowledge of Statistical Process Control (SPC) methodologies and tools for process monitoring.
  • Quality Standards: Basic understanding of quality management systems and industrial standards (e.g., ISO 9001).

La Figura, All’interno Del Team Di Preventivazione, Contruibuisce a Predisporre i Profit & Loss Di Commessa, In Particolare Si Occupa Di

  • Svolgere l’analisi della documentazione di gara o relativa all’offerta (dati di input per la preventivazione);
  • Realizzare il Profit & Loss preventivo di commessa attraverso l’utilizzo di SAP Qlikview (sistema di BI) ed Excel;
  • Supportare il KAM e l’Ufficio Gare nella corretta elaborazione dell’Offerta Economica dell’iniziativa con I relativi allegati;
  • Analizzare gli indicatori economici relativi ai costi effettivi, costi previsionali e i ricavi della commessa evidenziando gli eventuali gli scostamenti periodici vs P&L preventivo;
  • Verificare i costi e gli investimenti congiuntamente all’area Proposal;
  • Svolgere l’elaborazione delle eventuali richieste di congruità da parte dei Clienti Stazioni Appaltanti (presentata l’offerta oggetto di un ribasso su valore unitario che dovrebbe coprire costi, l'ente chiede di giustificare il ribasso fatto, costrutto tecnico economico in cui dimostra cosa ha considerato);
  • Acquisire le informazioni relative ad una commessa da consuntivare attraverso l’utilizzo dei database e dei sistemi aziendali;
  • Concorrere nel reportizzare il consuntivo per la Direzione Commerciale;
  • Dare supporto nel definire la logica di impostazione del P&L sulla base dei format aziendali;
  • Concorrere nella definizione dell’offerta insieme alla Direzione commerciale;

Requisiti Richiesti

  • Laurea triennale/magistrale preferibilmente in ambito economico/scientifico

Your Impact
You will build the foundational data infrastructure that powers cutting-edge AI applications leveraging LLMs, retrieval systems, workflows, and emerging agentic architectures.

  • Interest in or exposure to data engineering in the context of Agentic AI, Generative AI, Machine Learning, or Business Intelligence across different types of data formats (structured vs unstructured) and processing methods (streaming vs batch)
  • Familiarity with commonly used data platforms (Databricks, Snowflake, BigQuery, PSQL, etc.), cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and engineering tools (Pandas, Spark, dbt, LangChain, etc.)
  • Exposure to modern software development practices, including version control (Git) and foundational concepts in DevOps and MLOps/LLMOps and CI/CD principles
  • Exceptional time management in a complex and largely autonomous work environment

Background & Experience

  • Master's Degree in Statistics, Finance, Business Analytics, Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science or related area
  • 4–5 years of experience in Data & Analytics, with proven ability to design and deliver data-driven solutions in business contexts

Technical Skills

  • Experience in developing and applying analytical models and machine learning techniques to solve real business problems (including both predictive and exploratory approaches)
  • Strong programming skills in Python and familiarity with modern data science libraries and frameworks
  • Experience working with data across the full lifecycle, from data preparation and exploration to model development and deployment
  • Familiarity with working in cloud-based data and AI environments (e.g. AWS, Azure, GCP), leveraging advanced analytics and scalable processing capabilities (e.g. Databricks or similar platforms)
  • Exposure to Generative AI and LLMs, including use cases such as text analysis, content generation, or process automation
  • Understanding of prompt engineering principles and ability to integrate LLM-based solutions into data and analytics workflows
  • Awareness of best practices in model lifecycle management, reproducibility and collaboration within data teams
  • Ability to understand business requirements and identify the best solution to achieve the expected outcome
