About The Role
As a
Product Owner / Product Operations Analyst
at DRIVE Consulting, you will play a key role in supporting the development and continuous improvement of digital products within the automotive industry. You will combine product ownership, business analysis, UX validation, and product operations to translate business and user needs into structured requirements, drive backlog management, and enable data-driven product decisions across the development lifecycle.

You will be part of a growing international setup, contributing to the development of our new DRIVE location in Bucharest. Working closely with cross-functional teams, you will help shape scalable product processes, ensure alignment between stakeholders and development teams, and deliver high-impact solutions through a structured, analytical, and user-centric approach.

Your Responsibilities

  • Plan, execute, and document manual and automated software tests based on structured test plans and test cases
  • Structure, document, and continuously refine functional and technical requirements for digital products and services
  • Translate stakeholder needs and workshop outcomes into structured backlog items, user stories, and acceptance criteria
  • Support product backlog management and prioritization, ensuring transparency and alignment between stakeholders and development teams
  • Maintain and structure product requirements, dependencies, and documentation in collaboration tools such as Jira and Confluence
  • Prepare and support requirements workshops, documenting decisions, action items, and follow-up topics
  • Create process flows, system overviews, and documentation artifacts that illustrate relationships between components, systems, and operational processes
  • Conduct structured market and competitor analyses, including research on digital product features, pricing models, and market positioning
  • Monitor industry developments and product trends and synthesize insights into structured reports that support product and portfolio decisions
  • Perform UX validation activities by reviewing design concepts (e.g., Figma) against implemented features and identifying deviations from UX/UI specifications
  • Analyze and document UX observations and product insights, enabling alignment between product, UX, and engineering teams
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of product documentation, analysis frameworks, and product operations processes
  • Act as a structured interface between business stakeholders, product teams, and engineering teams to ensure transparent communication and efficient decision-making

Your Profile

  • Degree in Business Informatics, Computer Science, Engineering, UX Design, or a comparable field (top universities, very good results)
  • Background in Big Tech, automotive, or industrial environments is highly preferred
  • Exposure to consulting or experience working in client-facing, project-driven environments is highly valued
  • Professional experience in Product Ownership, Business Analysis, Product Operations, or Requirements Engineering, ideally within digital product environments
  • Strong understanding of digital product development and agile delivery frameworks
  • Experience with collaboration and backlog tools such as Jira, Confluence, or comparable platforms
  • Ability to translate business and user needs into structured product requirements, user stories, and actionable development tasks
  • Experience with product analysis, UX validation, or market research is considered a strong plus
  • Strong analytical mindset with the ability to structure complex information and derive clear insights
  • Structured working style combined with high-quality documentation and strong written communication skills
  • Ability to collaborate effectively in cross-functional and international project environments
  • Proactive mindset, strong sense of ownership, and the ability to work independently
  • Fluent in English (German is a plus)

Who You’ll Work With
Arista Networks is looking for world-class software engineers to join our
Software for Open Networking in the Cloud (SONiC)
software development team. As a core member of the SONiC team, you will be part of a fast-paced, high caliber team building and qualifying features to run the world's largest data center networks.

The SONiC team is responsible for all aspects of the development and delivery of SONiC software meant to run on various Arista switches. You will work with your fellow engineers and members of the marketing team to gather and understand the functional and technical requirements for upcoming projects. You will help write functional specifications, design specifications, test plans, and the code to bring all of these to life and work with the SONiC community to upstream the code/test changes. You will also work with customers to triage and fix problems in their networks. Internally, you will develop automated tests for your software, monitor the execution of those tests, and triage and fix problems found by your tests. At Arista, you will own your projects from definition to deployment, and you will be responsible for the quality of everything you deliver.

What You’ll Do
This role demands strong and broad software engineering fundamentals, and ideally a good understanding of networking including capabilities like L2, L3, and fundamentals of commercial switching HW.

Responsibilities

  • Write functional specifications and design specifications for system software to manage hardware components.
  • Independently implement solutions to small-sized problems in the system software using the C, C++, and python programming languages.
  • Write test plan specifications for small-sized features and implement automated test programs to execute the cases described in the test plan.
  • Debug problems found by our automated test programs and fix the problems.
  • Work on a team implementing, testing, and debugging solutions to larger routing protocol problems.
  • Worth with Customer Support Engineers to analyze problems in customer networks and provide fixes for those problems when needed in the form of new software releases or software patches.
  • Work with the System Test Engineers to analyze problems found in their tests and provide fixes for those problems.
  • Mentor new and junior engineers to bring them up to speed in Arista’s software development environment as well as broader SONiC development.
  • Review and contribute to the specifications and implementations written by other team members and the SONiC community.
  • Help to create a schedule for the implementation and debugging tasks, update that schedule weekly, and report it to the project lead.

Qualifications

  • BSc, MS or Ph.D. in Computer Science/Electrical Engineering/Computer Engineering with 2+ years of related post graduate work experience
  • Knowledge of C, C++, and/or python.
  • Knowledge of UNIX or Linux.
  • Understanding of L2/L3 networking including at least one of the following areas is desirable:
  • IP routing protocols, such as RIP, OSPF, BGP, IS-IS, or PIM.
  • Layer 2 features such as 802.1d bridging, the 802.1d Spanning Tree Protocol, the 802.1ax Link Aggregation Control Protocol, the 802.1AB Link Layer Discovery Protocol, or RFC 1812 IP routing.

Day-to-day Responsibilities

  • Development of Automation Tests in collaboration with colleagues in different countries
  • Responsibility of full Automatio Test lifecycle

Who Are We Looking For
