Role description

We’re the world’s leading sports technology company, at the intersection between sports, media, and betting. More than 1,700 sports federations, media outlets, betting operators, and consumer platforms across 120 countries rely on our know-how and technology to boost their business.

Job Description
ABOUT US:
The Live Data Services team is the heart of our live data ecosystem, gathering, validating, processing, and delivering live sports data for more than 30 sports to customers worldwide.

You will be a key contributor to the platform that powers one of the industry's largest sports data ecosystems. Our team manages the end-to-end flow of live sports data, from collection through scouts and automated integrations, to validation, processing, and real-time delivery to bookmakers, media partners, and other customers around the globe.

THE CHALLENGE:
We are looking for a Product-Minded QA Engineer.

We need someone who looks beyond just "testing code" and takes ownership of the entire quality lifecycle. You will work side-by-side with Product Managers to refine requirements before development starts ("Shift Left"). You are also a creator who uses modern tools (AI, Copilot, and LLMs) to improve team efficiency, build smart quality solutions, and ensure our platform delivers accurate, reliable, and high-quality sports data.

Because we operate in a highly complex sports and betting environment, we are looking for someone who is curious about sports, understands how competitions work, and appreciates the impact that data quality has on real-time sports data consumers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Requirement Ownership: Collaborate with Product Managers and Engineers to turn business ideas into clear, testable user stories. You ensure the team understands what needs to be delivered and where potential risks may exist.
  • Shift Left: Get involved in the design phase. You challenge assumptions, identify gaps, and help prevent issues before development begins.
  • Quality Advocacy: Act as a quality champion within the team, helping stakeholders understand risks from both technical and business perspectives.
  • Smart Automation (Creator Mindset): Use modern tools, including AI and LLMs, to improve efficiency, generate test assets, analyze data, and automate repetitive activities where it creates value.
  • Testing Execution: Perform exploratory and structured testing across APIs, integrations, internal tools, workflows, and business processes to identify issues and validate expected behavior.
  • Domain Validation: Ensure sports, betting, and customer-facing business rules behave correctly across different sports, competitions, and products.
  • Release Quality: Act as the gatekeeper for quality. Validate that new features meet both technical expectations and customer needs before release.

Our Toolkit:

  • API & Data: Strong experience with API testing, structured data validation, and SQL.
  • Basic Development Skills: Comfortable reading existing code and creating simple scripts or utilities using Java, Python, and modern AI-powered development tools.
  • Modern Tech: Experience using AI tools (LLMs, Copilot, AI assistants) to improve testing, analysis, and productivity.
  • Investigation & Troubleshooting: Ability to analyze complex workflows, integrations, and data flows to identify root causes and quality issues.

ABOUT YOU:

  • 3+ Years Experience: Proven history of driving quality practices within complex product teams.
  • Product Mindset: You care about user experience, business logic, and customer impact, not just passing test cases.
  • Sports Knowledge: Strong interest in sports and willingness to develop expertise across a broad portfolio of sports. Knowledge of sports rules, competitions, statistics, and event structures is highly valued.
  • Betting Domain Awareness: Experience with sports betting, odds, trading, sportsbook operations, or related products is a strong advantage. You are comfortable navigating complex business logic and understanding how data impacts customers.
  • Proactive: You don't wait for detailed instructions; you ask questions, challenge assumptions, and help define the path forward.
  • Clear Communicator: You can explain technical risks, findings, and business impacts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

OUR OFFER:

  • The opportunity to work and develop within an inspiring and fast-growing company.
  • Flat organization with high degree of individual responsibility.
  • A collaborative environment with colleagues from all over the world (Engineering offices in Europe, Asia and the US).
  • Very good social and physical working environment.
  • A company culture that promotes social aspects, sports, physical exercise, and fun.
  • Competitive salary and benefits.

OUR RECRUITMENT PROCESS:

  • Initial Screening: A brief conversation with our Talent Acquisition Partner to review your background, experience, motivation, and expectations.
  • Product & Domain Interview: A 60-minute discussion focused on product thinking, quality ownership, sports domain understanding, and how you approach business-critical testing challenges.
  • Technical Interview: An in-depth technical discussion covering QA fundamentals, API testing, SQL, test design, risk assessment, problem-solving, and practical quality-related scenarios.
  • Cultural Fit Interview (30 minutes): A conversation with Senior Management to assess your ability to work in a matrix organization, collaborate with stakeholders, and thrive in a fast-paced international environment.
