Role Summary
We are seeking an experienced quality manager for an MEP, CSA project with the proven leadership skills to manage the project quality team and strong leadership skills with the ability to build a long-term partnership with both the internal and external stakeholders.

You will have hands-on experience identifying and addressing quality risks in procedures and controls, evaluating and assessing their effectiveness. You will have a passion for people management and demonstrated ability to build and develop leaders on your team.

As the Quality Manager you are required to lead the delivery of a right first time and zero defect/zero rework project. The organisation will need your leadership in showing what needs to be done in order to deliver this high standard. They will also need guidance and support to deliver the same.

You will need to ensure that all project personnel have been trained to the appropriate level in delivering an exceptionally high-quality project. Our quality goal is “Zero snags at the time where the Installation team announces that a system or part of a system in complete”.

You are required to manage and deliver your department goals in a forward looking and controlled manner.

Key Responsibilities Of The Role

  • Ensure a safe working environment for all the people under your management and deliver an incident and injury free project.
  • Ensure that project KPI’s are met by auditing the QA systems continuously.
  • Role model all aspects of working in a safe manner and ensure that all your team do the same.
  • Demonstrate understanding and creativity by leading the quality team to develop approaches and solutions to enhance QA coverage and enhance QA impact to the project.
  • You will set up and implement all necessary procedures, controls & systems on site.
  • Develop quality plans, manuals, documents and systems
  • Review specifications to identify all inspections & test requirements and develop Project inspection and test plans
  • Training all Project personnel in Contractor’s Project QA/QC plan.
  • Work with our Client to ensure that their Quality standards & procedures are successfully submitted, approved & implemented against agreed timelines
  • Completion of Audits
  • Advise on all QA issues and manage and publish all quality indicators on a weekly basis.
  • Attend and co-ordinate weekly meetings with the client, subcontractors & suppliers
  • Effectively communicate project QA indicators to all levels of management and project stakeholders, providing insights into recommended areas for improvements to prevent recurring issues.
  • Standardise QA reporting & metrics, ensuring that we are focused on the right measures.
  • Gather and analyse feedback to provide recommendations for quality improvements.
  • Ensure all quality systems are online in an easily accessible location and that everyone that needs to use them knows where to find them.
  • Work with package leads to ensure that systems can be tested and handed over ahead of the published schedule needs.
  • Performance management of your team members.

Essential Criteria For The Role

  • Demonstrate a clear understanding of all aspects of the delivery of large, high quality construction projects.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Strong Leadership skills with a tested and proven desire to motivate individuals and hold team members accountable for performance.
  • Show a track record of delivering on such projects and be able to describe in detail how they lead the team to deliver these results.
  • 10+ years relevant experience.
  • Hold a primary or master’s degree in QA/QC or an equivalent discipline. Or demonstrable experience.
  • Demonstrate a keen understanding of strategic planning as well as tactical execution.
  • Experience working as part of a project, cross-functional team and working with all levels.
  • Relevant IT experience.

Desirable Criteria

  • Desirable to be a chartered member of CQI, IEI, CIOB or other construction related institute or in the process of achieving that level.
  • Six Sigma Green or higher Belt.
  • PMP certificate by PMI.

As our new MAIT Electrical Engineer, you will support the manufacturing, integration, and maintenance of Power Satellite Test Systems (EGSE, SCOE, CCS) and related power hardware.   • Assembling, testing, and inspecting electronic assemblies, including PCBAs, harnesses, enclosures, and system-level hardware
  • Performing device assembly and system/rack integration according to design documentation
  • Implementing circuit workarounds and rework to support ongoing prototyping activities
  • Maintaining the inventory database for hardware units and ensuring configuration traceability
  • Supporting quality inspections and participating in root cause investigations as needed
  • Ensuring ESD-safe practices and proper handling of hardware

Required expertise:

  • Experience in electronics assembly, integration, maintenance, and hardware modification/repair – including soldering, wire jumps, trace cuts, and component replacement – ideally within aerospace, defence, or high-reliability industries
  • Proficient in using lab instruments such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, function generators, power supplies; able to read and interpret schematics, PCB layouts, and assembly drawings, and to build complete systems based on documentation
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a high level of adaptability and an interest in continuous improvement
  • A collaborative, team-oriented working style combined with strong communication skills, enabling effective cooperation toward shared goals
  • Proficient in English, both written and verbal: German skills – or the willingness to learn – are an advantage

  • Assist the Quality Manager in achieving contract quality objectives by coordinating activities, monitoring compliance, and providing proactive feedback on quality performance.
  • Promote the company’s quality vision and strategic goals by encouraging best practices across project teams and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Conduct routine and ad hoc site inspections to verify that construction, fabrication, or installation activities are executed in accordance with approved ITPs, specifications, and quality standards
  • Plan, coordinate, and deliver quality-related training and induction sessions for all Mercury personnel and supply chain partners, ensuring consistent understanding of project standards, procedures, and compliance expectations across the workforce.
  • Support the creation and submission of contractual and internal quality deliverables, including plans, reports, and records, ensuring they are timely, complete, and aligned with project specifications.
  • Review and monitor the technical deliverables submitted by vendors and contractors—such as test plans, procedures, and certifications—to confirm they meet contractual and regulatory expectations.
  • Analyse all documentation provided by subcontractors and vendors to ensure it complies with relevant standards and project requirements, identifying issues and following up for corrections.
  • Examine Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs) for clarity, technical completeness, proper sequencing, and alignment with codes and project specifications.
  • Support the implementation of project-specific quality procedures by guiding project teams and ensuring proper adoption of standardized processes.
  • Oversee quality-related documentation from contractors, confirming its relevance, accuracy, and adherence to the agreed-upon quality specifications and formats.
  • Schedule and perform internal and supply chain audits at critical project stages to evaluate compliance, uncover risks, and provide actionable recommendations for improvement.
  • Identify and raise non-conformances when work or deliverables fall short of specification; lead the resolution process with clear documentation and root cause analysis.
  • Scrutinize project deliverables such as work packs, test packs, and documentation handovers to verify they fully reflect quality requirements prior to acceptance or release.
  • Compile detailed weekly and monthly reports capturing quality performance, non-conformance trends, and corrective actions; manage KPI metrics to evaluate overall effectiveness

Essential Criteria For The Role

  • 5+ years Quality experience in construction/engineering/petrochemical and / or within a multinational manufacturing.
  • Minimum Diploma or Degree in Engineering, equivalent to BSc, in engineering (CSA, Electrical or Mechanical).
  • ISO 9001:2015 Lead or Internal Auditor.
  • Presenting and Training skillset.
  • High ability to read and interpret QMS documents such Plans, Procedures (SOPs), Inspection and Test Plans.
  • Effective communication and collaboration abilities across multidisciplinary teams.

Hauptverantwortlichkeiten Der Stelle

  • Unterstützen Sie den Qualitätsmanager bei der Erreichung der vertraglich vereinbarten Qualitätsziele, indem Sie Aktivitäten koordinieren, die Einhaltung überwachen und proaktives Feedback zur Qualitätsleistung geben.

  • Führen Sie regelmäßige und anlassbezogene Baustelleninspektionen durch, um zu überprüfen, ob Bau-, Fertigungs- oder Installationsarbeiten gemäß den genehmigten Prüfplänen, Spezifikationen und Qualitätsstandards ausgeführt werden.
  • Planung, Koordination und Durchführung von Schulungen und Einführungsveranstaltungen zum Thema Qualität für alle Mitarbeiter von Mercury und Partner in der Lieferkette, um ein einheitliches Verständnis der Projektstandards, -verfahren und Compliance-Erwartungen bei allen Mitarbeitern sicherzustellen.
  • Unterstützung bei der Erstellung und Einreichung vertraglicher und interner Qualitätsdokumente, einschließlich Plänen, Berichten und Aufzeichnungen, wobei darauf geachtet werden muss, dass diese termingerecht, vollständig und mit den Projektspezifikationen abgestimmt sind.
  • Die von Anbietern und Auftragnehmern eingereichten technischen Ergebnisse – wie Testpläne, Verfahren und Zertifizierungen – sind zu prüfen und zu überwachen, um sicherzustellen, dass sie den vertraglichen und regulatorischen Anforderungen entsprechen.

  • Die qualitätsbezogene Dokumentation der Auftragnehmer überwachen und deren Relevanz, Genauigkeit und Einhaltung der vereinbarten Qualitätsvorgaben und -formate bestätigen.
  • Planen und führen Sie interne Audits und Lieferkettenaudits in kritischen Projektphasen durch, um die Einhaltung der Vorschriften zu bewerten, Risiken aufzudecken und umsetzbare Empfehlungen zur Verbesserung zu geben.
  • Abweichungen erkennen und melden, wenn die Arbeit oder die Ergebnisse nicht den Spezifikationen entsprechen; den Lösungsprozess mit klarer Dokumentation und Ursachenanalyse leiten.
  • Prüfen Sie die Projektergebnisse wie Arbeitspakete, Testpakete und Dokumentationsübergaben sorgfältig, um sicherzustellen, dass sie die Qualitätsanforderungen vor der Abnahme oder Freigabe vollständig erfüllen.
  • Erstellen Sie detaillierte wöchentliche und monatliche Berichte, die die Qualitätsleistung, Abweichungstrends und Korrekturmaßnahmen erfassen; verwalten Sie KPI-Kennzahlen zur Bewertung der Gesamteffektivität.

Wesentliche Kriterien Für Die Stelle

  • Mindestens 5 Jahre Erfahrung im Qualitätsmanagement in den Bereichen Bauwesen/Ingenieurwesen/Petrochemie und/oder in einem multinationalen Produktionsunternehmen.
  • Mindestens ein Diplom oder ein Hochschulabschluss im Ingenieurwesen, gleichwertig mit einem BSc, in den Bereichen Informatik, Elektrotechnik oder Maschinenbau.
  • ISO 9001:2015 Lead oder interner Auditor.
  • Präsentations- und Schulungskompetenzen.

Key Responsibilities Of The Role

  • Management, implementation and maintenance of ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System and ISO 14001
  • Develop quality plans, manuals, documents and systems
  • Review specifications to identify all inspections & test requirements and develop Project inspection and test plans
  • Training all Project personnel in Contractor’s Project QA/QC plan.
  • Work with our Client to ensure that their Quality standards & procedures are successfully submitted, approved & implemented against agreed timelines
  • Completion of Audits
  • Advise Management on QA issues
  • Ensure that all documentation and certification is complete and checked prior to final handover
  • Attend and co-ordinate weekly meetings with the client, subcontractors & suppliers
  • Document Control - Reviewing and revising documentation to incorporate changes to company policies and objectives, in order to stay in line with ISO 9001 and ISO 14001.
  • Reporting and ensuring that the current QA/QC procedures used on projects are standardised and integrated into the Company QA/QC Manual.
  • Review of all applicable vendor/subcontractor documentation.
  • Carrying out off-site factory / prefabrication audits (source inspection) as required by Contractor’s Project QA/QC plan and the Contract Documents.
  • Utilise SAP, Eida, Procore, BIM 360 Field and other software management systems to carry out duties
  • When necessary, perform Root cause analysis (RCA) on significant Project events or issues. Share all RCAs with all appropriate Project personnel
  • All other duties associated with this role

  • Entwicklung von Qualitätsplänen, Handbüchern, Dokumenten und Systemen

  • Prüfung aller relevanten Lieferanten-/Subunternehmerdokumente.
  • Durchführung von Werks-/Fertigstellungsaudits (Quelleninspektion) außerhalb des Werksgeländes gemäß dem Projekt-QA/QC-Plan des Auftragnehmers und den Vertragsunterlagen.
  • Nutzen Sie SAP, Eida, Procore, BIM 360 Field und andere Software-Managementsysteme zur Ausführung Ihrer Aufgaben.
