The Mission
Your primary mission is to ensure that the organization's technology landscape, data practices, and security measures do not expose the business to legal penalties, financial loss, or reputational damage. As a recognized expert, you will implement and maintain security, authorization, and compliance standards for SAP ERP platform systems and data products, providing leadership across both on-premise and cloud SAP Data platform ecosystems.

The Opportunity

  • Platform Security: Implement and maintain security, authorization, and compliance standards for SAP platforms (SAP BW 7.5 HANA, SAP BW4HANA, and SAP Datasphere). Develop and mature capabilities in cloud compliance and security, particularly within SAP Datasphere
  • Regulatory Alignment & Framework Management: Continuously monitor relevant regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA, HIPAA, SOX) and industry standards (e.g., ISO 27001, SOC 2, NIST) to ensure the platform remains ahead of global compliance requirements
  • Policy Development & Data Governance: Drive the creation and refinement of internal policies and data governance frameworks to maintain high standards of integrity, security, and structured data handling
  • ICFR & Control Ownership: Act as the System Owner Deputy and Control Owner, taking accountability for the end-to-end ICFR (Internal Control over Financial Reporting) lifecycle, GxP controls, and other relevant regulations.
  • Monitoring & Remediation: Lead weekly and monthly monitoring of SoD (Segregation of Duties) conflicts via GRC dashboards, work with SoD Champions to mitigate risks, and address non-compliant items flagged in the SAP Security Standards Roche documentation
  • System Integrity: Oversee application error reviews (e.g., failed jobs) and sign off on monitoring results in tools like ICAt to provide evidence for control checks
  • Access Governance: Perform quarterly reviews of Critical access, GRC FireFighter roles (Controllers, Owners, Admins), and HANA DB users, initiating timely removals to maintain a "least privilege" environment
  • Audit Leadership: Lead ICFR IT audit support by defining control activities, approving auditor documentation, and acting as the primary point of contact for auditors during peak cycles (Sep/Oct)
  • Strategic Direction: Set technological development directions by analyzing and implementing new solutions, tools, and IT standards, with a focus on data governance, validation, and automation
  • Risk Assessment: Annually review and update the System Risk Assessment (SRA) and Data Classification to ensure alignment with the Minimum Security Baseline
  • Process Optimization: Actively conduct innovation projects to optimize processes, introduce new solutions, and increase efficiency through automation in Data products
  • Collaboration: Partner with system teams and stakeholders to ensure task ownership, bridge data privacy awareness gaps, and onboard/train new team members on ICFR control activities

Who You Are

  • Education & Experience: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, IT, or Engineering with a minimum of 5 years’ post-secondary experience in SAP Security and a deep understanding of Compliance
  • Compliance Expert: Proven track record in IT security/authorization and compliance projects, specifically acting as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for ICFR, GxP, and GRC environments
  • Technical Proficiency: Working knowledge of SAP BW, HANA Studio, SAP BI, and SAP Datasphere. Familiarity with new trends in SAP Analytics and the AI space
  • Control Mastery: Strong understanding of SoDs, Critical access, Access Controls, and Pharmaceutical industry best practices including SAP audit guidelines
  • Data Governance: Experience with Data Products and Data Governance principles and practices
  • Risk Management: Experience in IT system validation processes and conducting System Risk Assessments (SRA), including Data Privacy requirements
  • Analytical Leader: Strong ability in root cause analysis, providing solutions to complex system processes, and driving remediation to completion
  • Operational Excellence: Ability to manage an external workforce/squad, adhering to dynamic targets and timelines in an Agile (SAFe/Scrum) environment
  • Communication: English proficiency with excellent interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with diverse teams and lead training sessions for ICFR onboarding
  • Adaptability: Ability to quickly learn new technologies and compliance frameworks in a fast-paced, regulated global organization

Compensation & Benefits
The expected salary range for this position, based on the primary location of Warsaw Grafit is 170,100.00 PLN - 315,900.00 PLN. Final compensation will be determined by a number of factors, including your skills, experience, qualifications, and location. In addition to base pay, this role may be eligible for a discretionary annual bonus with a target of 15% subject to both individual and company performance.

YOUR PROFILE

  • University degree Bachelor’s degree

Cybersecurity Operations Team
– created as part of the EY Cybersecurity practice in Poland, provides services in the field of security monitoring, threat detection and response, and vulnerability management, with particular focus on the SOC and Vulnerability Management space across on-premises, public and private cloud, and hybrid environments. The team is also responsible for the ongoing operation and optimization of security monitoring and vulnerability management processes for clients across various industries.

The team works on complex, international projects, helping organizations detect, investigate, and respond to threats while continuously identifying and reducing their exposure by embedding security operations capabilities into their environments and engineering workflows. Due to the dynamic growth of these services, we are looking for ambitious individuals to join the team as a CyberSecurity Operations Intern.

Opportunities that await you:
As a CyberSecurity Operations Intern, you will actively support internal security initiatives and client projects focused on monitoring, detecting, and responding to threats, as well as identifying and managing vulnerabilities across modern IT environments. You will gain hands-on experience with security operations tooling and learn how threats are detected, investigated, and remediated across SOC and Vulnerability Management functions.

You will work closely with SOC analysts, threat hunters, detection engineers, and vulnerability management specialists, learning how to translate security signals and intelligence into practical, automated, and scalable detection and response capabilities.

Your main tasks:
As a member of the Cybersecurity Operations team, you will take part in many different, interesting projects, mainly related to the design/implementation/operation of security monitoring, threat detection and response capabilities, with a focus on Vulnerability Management and SOC functions (Incident Handling, Threat Hunting, Threat Intelligence, Detection Engineering), including:

  • Supporting the Vulnerability Management lifecycle (asset discovery, vulnerability scanning, prioritization, remediation tracking and reporting)
  • Operating and maintaining vulnerability scanning tools and integrating them with asset inventory and CMDB data
  • Building Vulnerability Management dashboards, metrics and reporting for technical teams and management
  • Assisting in security incident handling and response, including triage, investigation, containment and post-incident activities
  • Monitoring security alerts and events across SIEM, EDR and other security tooling as an L1/L2 analyst, performing initial triage, validation and prioritization
  • Investigating and escalating confirmed incidents according to defined playbooks and SLAs, documenting findings and supporting containment and remediation actions
  • Helping design, develop and tune detection content (e.g. SIEM/EDR rules, correlation logic, use cases) as part of Detection Engineering
  • Working on end-to-end SOC use case development with field experts
  • Helping integrate and automate security tooling via APIs and scripting (e.g. using Python, PowerShell, REST APIs, SOAR playbooks)

Moreover, you will take part in projects focused on the operationalization of CyberSecurity tools such as SIEM / SOAR / EDR and transformation initiatives, which will include tasks such as:

  • SOC - daily monitoring, incident detection and response, reporting, and participation in continuous improvement of monitoring capabilities
  • Engineering - performing regular updates, maintaining automation scripts, system health checks, supporting platform transformations, and maintaining documentation of security systems
  • SOAR - developing and supporting automation workflows, optimizing routine processes, and contributing to incident response efficiency
  • Vulnerability Management - conducting continuous scanning, tracking remediation progress, coordinating with system owners, and improving vulnerability management processes
  • Cloud Security - performing compliance checks, monitoring security issues, implementing best practices, and cooperating closely with the cloud operations team

Skills you will use:

  • Basic understanding of cybersecurity concepts, common attack types, and the CIA triad
  • General knowledge of SIEM / SOAR / EDR tools
  • General knowledge of Vulnerability Management tools and concepts (e.g. Tenable, Qualys, Rapid7) and CVSS-based risk scoring
  • Analytical thinking and problem-solving mindset
  • Knowledge of Linux (e.g. RedHat) and Windows including logs, processes and OS internals
  • Understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/S, ports and protocols)
  • Very good knowledge of English and Polish

Your previous experience:
Student/Graduate of Cybersecurity or related fields (IT profile)

We will also appreciate:

  • Familiarity with alert triage, incident handling and escalation workflows (runbooks/playbooks)
  • Basic familiarity with security tools such as CrowdStrike Falcon EDR, CrowdStrike NG-SIEM, LogScale, Splunk, Microsoft Sentinel

  • Experience or interest in Python, PowerShell, Bash and REST APIs
  • Possession of industry certificates in the field of IT security, e.g. CompTIA Security+, certification of leading IT/Security solution providers (also in the areas of security of cloud platforms, e.g. Microsoft AZ-900)
  • Willingness to develop in the area of IT security
