What we’re looking for

We are seeking a hands-on and reliable development engineer, focused on evolving IaaS & CaaS systems, and the tools to operate them.

What you’ll be doing

We build cloud systems (IaaS and CaaS) and the tools to operate them at scale. If you are passionate about Ansible, Kubernetes, Openstack, the Python or Golang programming languages, we think we can provide you the best environment to take your engineering career to the next level.

🚀 Your Mission

Innovate Core Services

• Architect, code & unit-test new OpenStack & Kubernetes modules.
• Craft elegant Python & Go SDKs and libraries for our platform.
• Own Project Sylva features end-to-end, from spec to merge.

Level-3 Power-Up

• Dive into escalations, debug complex cases and ship rock-solid patches.
• Harden and optimize community-driven code before it hits production.

DevTool Wizardry

• Build slick CLI tools, Flux CD plugins and Helm helpers.
• Embed quality: author tests, linters, pre-commit hooks in CI.

Open-Source Ambassadorship

• Champion upstream contributions to CNCF, OpenStack & kube-ecosystem.
• Keep our forks in sync, backport hot-fixes and upstream game-changers.

What you need to know/have

• Code:
  Go & Python mastery
• Cloud:
  Deep dive into OpenStack SDKs & K8s controllers
• Tooling:
  Helm, Flux CD plugin development, GitLab CI pipelines
• Collaboration:
  Agile sprints, code reviews & crisp documentation

Extra Kudos

• You've shipped features or fixes to CNCF/OpenStack repositories.
• You've built custom K8s operators or CRDs.
• You live by "test first" with pytest, Ginkgo, etc.

Depending on your experience level, what you will bring to the team

Junior

• 0-2 years building cloud-native code in Python/Go
• Strong Linux knowledge and willingness to learn

Mid

• 2-5 years crafting APIs or K8s operators
• Owns services end-to-end and drives quality in every PR

Senior

• 5+ years designing large-scale cloud platforms
• Go/Python expert and Kubernetes API specialist
• Mentoring and technical leadership experience
