We're looking for a
Senior Cloud Engineer
who:

  • Is a self-starter that collaborate with other platform teams and stakeholders across time zones to deliver business impact.
  • Foster a culture of technical excellence, collaboration and continuous learning.
  • Exert strong hands-on experience and operate in a high performing environment with limited guidance
  • Oversee the development and maintenance of a comprehensive set of ready-to-consume cloud patterns and solutions.
  • Take an active role in cloud governance, ensuring that any application deployed to production meets the standards set by the firm and fulfills applicable regulatory requirements.
  • Partner with application development teams to facilitate the migration of existing applications and development of new cloud-native applications on public cloud platforms such as Azure and hybrid architectures.
  • Champion a frictionless and intuitive cloud onboarding experience for developers, accelerating their transition to public cloud.
  • Define and prioritize product feature requests that align with the firm’s business and engineering priorities.
  • Ensure Secure defense-in-depth implementations.
  • Drive the implementation of architectural best practices and solutions that are highly available, resilient and scalable.
  • Provide engineering leadership with regular insights into the progress of customer migrations, reporting on key wins and roadblocks.

What you’ll do

After joining our team, your main responsibility is to deploy, automate, maintain, and manage the production system to ensure high levels of availability, performance, and scalability. This involves:

  • Develop an automation pipeline to support the CI/CD process with integrated security gates, automated vulnerability scanning, and compliance checks
  • Deploy and monitor the infrastructure of our services on various cloud platforms
  • Lead initiatives for upgrading the systems to improve security posture, availability, reliability, and performance through proactive threat assessment and remediation
  • Work closely with the development team by rapidly deploying instances, monitoring operating efficiencies, and responding as needs arise
  • Collaborate with security teams to implement security policies as code and recommend process improvements for both operational efficiency and security compliance
  • Evaluate new technology options and vendor products with security risk assessment and compliance validation
  • Ensure critical system security through implementation of defense-in-depth strategies, best-in-class cloud security solutions, vulnerability management programs, and incident response procedures

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Excellent leadership, communication and interpersonal skills
  • Minimum of 10 yrs of relevant professional experience in Systems Engineering or Software Engineering
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
  • Proven experience as an Engineering Manager or a Senior Technical Lead, with a focus on cloud-native development or platform engineering.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive technical decisions across teams and influence without direct authority.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; comfortable presenting to both engineering and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience mentoring engineers and contributing to a culture of technical excellence and continuous learning.
  • Self-directed and comfortable operating with limited guidance in a high-performance environment.
  • Strong understanding of cloud architecture, microservices, containerization, and systems (e.g., Linux Kernel, Kubernetes, Docker).
  • Building secure, highly available and scalable systems especially in a large, enterprise-level organization.
  • Experience with hybrid cloud solutions, on-premises integration, and distributed microservices/zero-trust architecture
  • Experience with Istio/service mesh security, Docker image optimization, and secure image practices
  • Experience with Terraform, Prometheus, and policy-as-code tools (Rego/OPA/Gatekeeper, Falco)
  • Experience leveraging AI to support development and automation

About The Role
We're seeking a Senior Full Stack Developer to join our Growth Hub engineering team in Bulgaria. Our success has been driven by our ability to deliver elegant high-quality software on quick iterations, and we want to double-down on that.

Our tech stack includes Node.js, JavaScript, TypeScript, React, MongoDB, Redis, and a few other technologies.

What You’ll Do

  • Design, build, and maintain scalable backend services and APIs powering our e-commerce workflows, ensuring consistency, performance, and correctness.
  • Design, build, and maintain end-to-end product features spanning across multiple services.
  • Collaborate with Product Managers, UX Designers, and engineers to translate business requirements into robust technical solutions.
  • Debug and resolve production issues across services and multiple levels of the stack.
  • Review peer code to ensure correctness, performance, maintainability, and knowledge sharing.
  • Write unit and integration tests and collaborate with QA engineers responsible for API and end-to-end test coverage.
  • Continuously improve engineering standards, tooling, and processes.
  • Mentor and support junior engineers on backend fundamentals and system design.

What You Will Need

  • Strong proficiency in Full-Stack software development with JavaScript, TypeScript, Java, Spring Boot, Groovy.
  • Strong hands-on experience with SAP BTP, SAP Integration Suite, SAP Build Process Automation, SAP CAP, Fiori, SAPUI5.
  • Understanding of data models and data services within SAP systems (especially CDS Views and OData services).
  • Experience with database design and data modeling, leveraging SAP HANA and/or other enterprise-grade databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQL Server, MongoDB or other).
  • Experience integrating SAP S/4HANA Cloud with other enterprise systems and applications.
  • Experience with cloud-to-on-premise integrations and hybrid landscapes through various protocols (e.g HTTP, OData, SOAP, REST, IDoc, SFTP).
  • Proven experience building business applications using SAP CAP and integrating them with SAP and non-SAP systems.
  • Strong understanding of authentication and security standards (SAP Cloud Identity Services, OIDC, OAuth 2.0, SAML, certificates).
  • Solid understanding of API-based architectures, event-driven integrations, and enterprise integration patterns.
