About the Role
We are seeking a Senior Cloud and Platform Engineer with strong Azure cloud infrastructure and DevOps experience to support a key customer engagement. This is a hands-on role focused on rebuilding and modernising cloud infrastructure while working closely with the wider engineering team. You'll play a key role in designing secure, scalable cloud environments, improving deployment automation and supporting enterprise applications.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement and maintain secure, scalable Azure cloud infrastructure.
- Support the rebuild and optimisation of the existing cloud platform.
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps and Argo CD.
- Deploy and manage Kubernetes-based applications, including container deployments, ingress and egress configuration.
- Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform and Terragrunt.
- Configure and manage Azure networking, including Front Door, Application Gateway, Private Endpoints and Azure Monitor Private Link Scopes.
- Deploy and manage Azure App Services, Storage Accounts, Azure Database Services (Postgres), API Management and networking components.
- Collaborate with application and security teams to improve cloud governance, monitoring and automation.
- Develop automation and tooling using Python, PowerShell or Bash.
- Continuously improve DevOps processes, deployment patterns and operational best practices.
Required Skills & Experience
- Commercial experience as a Cloud or DevOps Engineer in Azure environments.
- Strong hands-on experience with Kubernetes, container deployments, ingress and egress configuration.
- Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps and Argo CD.
- Experience with Terraform/Terragrunt for Infrastructure as Code.
- Strong Azure experience including Storage, Networking, Azure App Services, API Management and Azure Database Services (Postgres).
- Good Python scripting and automation skills.
- Strong understanding of cloud security, monitoring and operational best practices.
Nice to Have
- Docker and Kubernetes administration.
- Azure AI Services, AI Foundry or Azure AI Search.
- GitHub Actions.
- Azure SQL, Cosmos DB and Azure Cache for Redis.
- Experience with cloud cost optimisation.
- Exposure to hybrid or multi-cloud environments.
