We are seeking a highly skilled and proactive
Senior Database Reliability Engineer
with a strong focus on AWS RDS PostgreSQL, complemented by experience with infrastructure-as-code (IaC) using Terraform and familiarity with RedShift and clichouse .

Current stack: AWS RDS (PostgreSQL,MySQL), AWS RedShift, Clickhouse, Terraform, Ansible.
Responsibilities:

  • Own the provisioning, configuration, and ongoing maintenance of PostgreSQL and MySQL instances across AWS RDS and on-premises, ensuring they meet uptime and performance targets
  • Design and implement automated failover solutions, load balancing configurations, and DNS management strategies to keep databases accessible under failure conditions
  • Write and maintain Terraform code to provision and manage database infrastructure - clusters, instances, storage, parameter groups, security groups - with consistency across environments
  • Build and manage Ansible playbooks and roles for database deployments, configuration changes, and patching cycles
  • Monitor, alert, and tune - using Prometheus and Grafana - to catch performance degradation before it becomes an incident
  • Plan and execute database upgrades and migrations, including cross-version and cross-engine work (PostgreSQL, MySQL, Redshift, ClickHouse, DynamoDB), with minimal impact to production
  • Manage backup, restore, and recovery processes; test them regularly so they work when it matters
  • Harden database security through access controls, encryption at rest and in transit, and periodic audits
  • Maintain and improve underlying Linux systems hosting the databases, including security hardening and performance tuning
  • Document configurations, runbooks, and disaster recovery plans; participate in on-call rotation

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of proven experience as a Database Administrator or Database Engineer, with hands-on depth in PostgreSQL and MySQL in production environments
  • Solid Terraform experience - you've written and maintained IaC
  • Working knowledge of Ansible for configuration management and deployment automation
  • Strong Linux system administration skills, including performance tuning and troubleshooting
  • Experience designing and operating high-availability solutions - failover, replication, load balancing, DNS management
  • Familiarity with Prometheus and Grafana or comparable monitoring tools
  • Scripting ability in Bash and/or Python for automation and operational tasks
  • Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and how database changes fit into a deployment workflow
  • Comfort working in a regulated financial services environment, where access control, encryption, and audit trails are non-negotiable

Nice to have:

  • Production experience with ClickHouse, Redshift, MongoDB or Microsoft SQL Server
  • Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes in the context of database workloads
  • Prior experience with financial services audit requirements or other regulated environments
  • AWS certification (Database Specialty, Solutions Architect, or similar)

What you will do:

  • Partner closely with software architects, game developers, QA, and operations to remove bottlenecks and improve delivery
  • Build and Maintain CI/CD Pipelines
  • Script repetitive tasks and develop self-service tools for developers
  • Design and manage infrastructure
  • Implement and manage containers, stand up and manage VMs
  • Implement logging, monitoring, and alerting
  • Ensure infrastructure is scalable, secure, and reliable.

We are looking for Engineers that:

What You’ll Do as a Senior Engineering Manager at Arteris

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Engineering Manager to lead the development of a cutting-edge build, test, and deployment infrastructure critical focused on improving performance and reliability for industry leading hardware security verification solutions. You will play a critical role in leading the development of core engineering infrastructure solutions, automating the building, test, and deployment of various hardware security application solutions, while fostering a culture of technical excellence, agility, and continuous improvement.

Reporting to the
VP of Engineering (Security Solutions)
this role will be building and managing other individual contributor engineering staff, fostering growth while aligning engineering efforts with major business objectives. This role will also be responsible for managing and orchestrating collaboration with our application engineering team, guiding application engineers in test creation and working with them towards continuous development and improvement of our regression and performance testing infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

Team Leadership & Management

  • Lead and manage a software development team building automated DevOps infrastructure for building, testing, and deploying our security solutions products
  • Mentor and grow team members via technical guidance, code reviews, and career development support
  • Foster a collaborative team culture focused on quality, reliability, and customer experience
  • Establish reusable patterns, best practices, and coding standards to ensure consistency and maintainability

Development & Delivery

  • Design and implement high-performance, modular, and extensible systems for continuous development and deployment and testing of our security solutions products
  • Develop automated workflows for cross-collaboration engineering teams to effectively stress test security solutions products for performance, reliability, and stability
  • Ensure effective project execution: task allocation, milestone tracking, and on-time delivery of high-quality features
  • Ensure the build and test infrastructure codebase is well-documented, maintainable, and reflects industry best practices
  • Drive continuous improvements in build and test environment efficiency, robustness, and reliability

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Coordinate between cross-functional engineering teams to align on testing methodologies, design and build components to improve testing workflows that enable teams to expand testing coverage
  • Guiding development and applications engineering teams through test creation and integration
  • Collaborate closely with product stakeholders towards planning and building ongoing test and development infrastructure improvements that enable teams to continuously develop, test, and deploy products.

What You Bring

Required Qualifications

  • At least 5+ years of experience managing software teams (individual contributors and managers) that build and deliver complex commercial systems and applications.
  • At least 5+ years of experience in DevOps, build engineering, or related roles
  • Demonstrated history of technical leadership involving setting build and test infrastructure direction while also owning project delivery and their outcomes (quality, timelines, reliability, user experience).
  • Strong expertise with modern build systems (CMake, Autotools, Bazel, Make, etc).
  • Proven experience with CI/CD pipelines and automation.
  • Proficiency in Python scripting for build/test orchestration.
  • Familiarity with Linux development environments and toolchains.
  • Experience integrating and maintaining test suites for complex software workflows.
  • Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, high-accountability environment with competing priorities.
  • Based in Kraków, Poland and able to manage an on-site team of engineering staff.
  • Exposure to hardware/EDA workflows or tools.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with containerized CI (Docker/Podman), artifact management, and dependency caching.
  • Knowledge of performance monitoring and dashboarding tools (Grafana, Promethus) and ability to aggregate performance and regression history
  • Understanding of security and supply-chain best practices (SBOM, artifact signing).
  • Experience working with third party code quality and security software (static analysis, binary analysis)
  • Relevant work experience is in the domains of hardware Simulation, Synthesis or Formal Verification or similar products.
