Responsibilities

  • Perform impact analysis of changes and ensure consistency with the existing architecture
  • Define and specify data flows, including technical setup and connectivity

  • Participate in application testing phases in a Cloud environment
  • Ensure architectural coherence and assess the impact of releases with the software provider
  • Develop and maintain code following best practices
  • Test developments in line with quality standards
  • Produce technical and functional documentation
  • Analyze legacy solutions and implement improvements based on industry best practices
  • Support business activities during client migration phases with impact analysis
  • Design the technical setup for data flows
  • Develop and execute T-SQL queries and stored procedures

  • Participate in the Group’s IT transformation program, including AI readiness

Requirements

  • 7+ years of professional experience in T-SQL (SQL Server) development
  • Practical experience in Java development and JavaScript
  • Working knowledge of Linux shell scripting
  • Basic knowledge of WTX
  • Experience working in global, distributed teams
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset
  • Ability to understand complex business requirements and translate them into technical solutions
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills, with a team-oriented approach
  • Organized, proactive, and results-driven

We are seeking a highly skilled
Data Platform Engineer
to join our client's team and help architect, build, and optimize our client's enterprise data platform. This role will focus on
Snowflake
as the core data warehouse technology and will be instrumental in designing scalable data models, defining semantic layers, and enabling advanced analytics and AI-driven use cases.

Responsibilities:

• Design and implement robust, scalable, and performant Snowflake database schemas and data models.

Qualifications:

• Strong expertise in Snowflake, including schema design, performance tuning, and data sharing.

• Proficiency in SQL, with experience writing complex queries and stored procedures.

• Experience with data integration from varied sources (e.g., APIs, flat files, message queues).

• Familiarity with ETL/ELT frameworks and orchestration tools (e.g., dbt, Airflow).

• Understanding of semantic modeling and analytics enablement.

• Solid programming skills in Python or Java for data processing and automation.

• Knowledge of data governance, security, and access control principles.

Preferred Knowledge & Tools:

• Experience with AI/ML workflows and enabling data access for model training and inference.

• Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and cloud-native data services.

• Exposure to BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) and how they interact with semantic layers.

• Experience with CI/CD and DevOps practices in data engineering.

Skills and experience you will need

  • fluent English (C1)
  • university degree in the field of Computer Science, Information Systems Management, Business Informatics, Mathematics, Industrial Engineering, or a comparable education
  • experience in one of the common programming languages e.g. Python, Java, C++ and familiar with database technologies like SQL
  • experience with Process Mining tools (e.g. Celonis) or dashboard and analysis
  • structured and independent customer-oriented approach to work
  • the ability to convey complex contexts in a user-friendly manner

Overview:
This position will work to create end to end solutions, helping clients organize, structure and visualize their data in a way that delivers value and actionable insights.

Main Accountabilities:

  • Create and maintain customized SQL queries to build reporting data structures.
  • Build and maintain database models, including fine tuning and optimizing queries, data pipelines, and automation workflows.
  • Validate data to determine and document any gaps between available data and requirements for reporting outputs, dashboards, modeling use cases, and downstream analysis.

Education/Experience
:

As our new
Data Engineer,
you will join a collaborative and skilled organization working with data at scale to enable automation of real business cases through data-driven and Machine Learning-based intelligence.

We are hiring
two Data Engineers
for two closely collaborating teams with different focus areas:

  • the Data Science team, working directly with forecasting, analytics, and ML-based decision support
  • the Data Streaming Platform (DSP) team, a newly formed team building and operating a central platform for real-time and event-driven data across the organization

We work in a Scrum setup and have in recent years been very successful in forecasting both electricity prices and electricity consumption, while at the same time scaling our real-time data capabilities. Your work will have
direct and measurable impact
.

What will you do?

  • Design, build, and operate batch and real-time data pipelines using Azure, Databricks, and Python
  • Ingest and process external and internal data such as weather data, market prices, grid telemetry, and event streams
  • Work with streaming technologies including Kafka, Spark Structured Streaming, and Flink
  • Ensure high data quality through validation, monitoring, and lineage
  • Develop and improve data workflows, standards, and reliability in production systems

Dependent on your area of expertise and interest, you will work in either the Data Science- or Data Streaming Platform team

Data Science Team Focus

  • Enable forecasting, analytics, and ML use cases with high-quality, well-modelled data
  • Collaborate closely with Data Scientists, ML Engineers, and other engineering teams

DSP Team Focus

  • Build Kafka based central streaming data platform from scratch to enable traders, analysts and asset managers to publish and consume live and historical data at scale.
  • Operate and continuously enhance the components once the platform is in production.

Qualifications
Who are you?
Role
The focus varies depending on which role you are interested in. You don’t need check all the boxes, but generally you should be experienced in:

  • Strong Python and SQL skills
  • Practical experience with cloud data platforms (Azure, Databricks) and with different data storage solutions, including data lakes, lake houses and analytical databases
  • Hands-on experience with streaming systems (Kafka, Spark or Flink)
  • Familiarity with Airflow, CI/CD, DevOps practices
  • Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and Infrastructure-as-Code
  • Understanding of data contracts, time-series data, and event-driven systems
  • Fluency in English and interest in the energy domain
