We are looking for a
Senior DevOps Engineer
with a strong background in DevOps practices and tools who will contribute to the development, deployment, and maintenance of our infrastructure, with a focus on GitLab, Terraform, Jenkins, AWS cloud, Kubernetes/EKS, and Ansible.
This is a fully remote position that offers you the flexibility to work from any location in Armenia, whether it's your home or well-equipped offices in Yerevan or Gyumri.
Responsibilities
- Develop, manage, and enhance CI/CD pipelines using GitLab, Jenkins, and other relevant tools
- Implement and maintain infrastructure as code (IAC) using Terraform
- Handle the configuration and management of AWS services
- Collaborate with the development team to deploy microservices onto the Kubernetes/EKS platform using GitLab CI/CD
- Lead the migration of Jenkins pipelines to GitLab, ensuring a smooth transition
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to infrastructure and deployment processes
- Stay updated on industry best practices and emerging technologies in DevOps and Cloud
- Ensure code is up-to-date, maintainable, scalable, and secure
- Monitor and improve system health and performance to maximize uptime and end-user satisfaction
- Develop, test, and maintain the toolchain and pipeline that enables continuous integration and deployment
- Coordinate with software developers, operations teams, and other cross-functional teams to understand project objectives, gather requirements, and deliver systems and software within agreed upon timelines
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in a DevOps or related engineering role
- Proficiency in GitLab, Terraform, and Jenkins
- Expertise in AWS, EKS, and Ansible
- Background in Jenkins to GitLab migration
- Strong scripting skills (e.g., Shell, Python, Ansible playbooks) for automation tasks
- Experience with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes)
- Understanding of infrastructure security best practices
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
- English proficiency at B2 level or higher
