The Role

We are looking for a Storage Administrator to join our Global I.T. Infrastructure Operations team. The role requires a technically skilled individual with a background in IT Operations to support the operation of regional mission critical data centres and the implementation of physical hardware related projects into these data centres.

What You’ll Do

  • Work as part of the Global IT Infrastructure Operations Team alongside technical engineers from multiple disciplines to deliver best in class infrastructure.

  • Work alongside project management & architecture to ensure the timely delivery of infrastructure (storage & compute) to support new initiatives.

  • Ensure that the data centre infrastructure adheres to RTO/RPO requirements, and is proactively monitored to ensure continued excellence in uptime.

  • Administration, support and management of the storage area network.

  • Administration, support and management of backup services.

  • Perform capacity planning, management and forecasting activities.
    What You’ll Bring

  • Experience 4 to 6 years with Storage and Backup technologies (e.g. FC Block, NAS, Object, SAN Zoning)

  • Dell-EMC storage / Netapp (PowerMax, ECS, Unity, DataDomain,CISCO MDS, AFF C-series, ASA A-Series) experience.

  • Backup technologies (Power Protect Data Manager, Veeam, NetBackup)

  • Experience with Disaster Recover (e.g. Zerto)

  • Professional proficiency in English

  • Excellent communication skills and an ability to perform as part of a geo diverse organization

Demonstrated ability to:

  • Ability to clearly communicate technical details and objectives in person and via tele-presence

  • Work remotely, being self-motivated

  • Systems thinking - the ability to see how parts interact with the whole (Systems thinking big picture thinking)

  • Pro-actively seek out tasks and improvement opportunities.

  • Interpersonal skills - collaboration, facilitation, and negotiation skills.

  • Investigate technology innovations and research independently.

  • Experience of DevOps practices

  • Experience with various operating systems (e.g. Windows, Linux)

  • Experience with virtualization and cloud technologies (e.g. VMware/Azure/AWS/GCP)

  • Sound understanding of network design, protocols, and concepts (e.g. Cisco ACI, TCP/IP, DNS)

  • Experience of IT tooling and management systems (e.g. monitoring, DCIM, Security tools)
