Senior Frontend Engineer, Retail Media / AdTech Solutions
, you will be shaping and evolving our Retail Media platform by building intuitive, high-quality user experiences across advertiser-facing products and internal AdTech solutions. About your tasks:

  • Shape the future of our Retail Media platform by building modern frontend experiences across campaign management, advertiser self-service and other AdTech products.
  • Own end-to-end frontend delivery while collaborating closely with backend engineers to integrate scalable APIs and deliver high-quality user experiences.
  • Create complex web applications including reporting, asset management, permissions, audience segments, wallet integrations and CRM metadata integrations.
  • Contribute to a greenfield engineering journey as we transition from outsourced development to an in-house engineering organization and help define future architecture.

Qualifications
About you:

  • You bring strong commercial experience with React and TypeScript, building complex production web applications.

ABOUT THE ROLE
We are looking for a
Senior Backend Engineer
to design and build scalable middleware services powering digital ordering, payments, loyalty, and third-party integrations across a major consumer platform. You will develop serverless applications using AWS Lambda and API Gateway, build Node.js/TypeScript microservices, design event-driven architectures with SQS/SNS, and implement infrastructure as code with Terraform. The role includes active use of AI-assisted development tools as a core part of the daily engineering workflow.

WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Develop serverless applications using AWS Lambda and API Gateway;

- Build and maintain Node.js/TypeScript microservices;

- Design event-driven architectures using SQS/SNS;

- Build infrastructure as code using Terraform;

- Leverage AI-assisted development tools (GitHub Copilot, Claude, and similar) as a core part of daily engineering work — from code generation and refactoring to test coverage and documentation. Champion AI tooling adoption across the team;

- Create integrations with delivery providers and payment platforms;

- Collaborate with business stakeholders and product teams to understand functional and technical requirements; translate those into scalable, maintainable architecture and implementation plans;

- Conduct constructive code reviews and provide technical design guidance to peers and junior engineers, raising the overall quality and consistency of team output;

- Enforce data governance, security policies, and compliance standards throughout the software development lifecycle;

- Implement secure authentication and identity flows using Amazon Cognito.

MUST HAVES
- 4+ years of backend development experience;

- Demonstrated experience building and operating RESTful and/or GraphQL APIs at scale;

- Strong proficiency in one or more of: JavaScript/TypeScript (Node.js, Java, or C#);

- Experience with serverless architectures on AWS (Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB, SQS/SNS);

- Demonstrated experience building and operating RESTful and/or GraphQL APIs at scale;

- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and source control workflows (Git, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps);

- Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform or CloudFormation);

- Solid understanding of integration patterns: event-driven architecture, webhooks, async messaging, and pub/sub;

- Experience integrating with third-party platforms and vendor APIs (e.g., delivery aggregators, POS systems, loyalty platforms, or similar ecosystem partners);

- Ability to translate ambiguous business requirements into clear technical specifications;

- Collaborative mindset with a willingness to give and receive candid code review feedback;

- Strong debugging, root-cause analysis, and production incident management skills.

- Upper-intermediate English level.

As a Senior FrontEnd Engineer, you’ll join one of these squads and contribute end to end to a specific part of the product.

What You’ll Do
As a Senior Front-End Engineer, you will lead the development of high-impact user experiences across our web apps, desktop apps, browser extensions, and mobile interfaces. You will set the standard for UI quality and performance, and play a central role in evolving our design system, architecture, and tooling.

You Will

  • Build and lead the development of complex front-end features using React, TypeScript, and Tailwind
  • Drive architecture and technical decisions around shared UI libraries and front-end performance

In This Role You Will Get To

  • Join the Connectivity, Optimization & Commercial Operations product group, a core group within our Flights Technology organization. One of the goals of this product group is to integrate and maintain a large number of airline APIs into an inhouse supply platform, while achieving a harmonized level of functionality and content across all integrated airline APIs.
  • Work across a portfolio of applications that form the supply layer of our platform in the areas of flight search, booking, payment, servicing and reconciliation.
  • Define architecture, design and implementation of Test Automation Solutions.
  • Participate in setting up Automated Testing Environment for multiple api/microservices based applications
  • Design and build test cases and leverage existing Automation Frameworks to build new test scripts while maintaining existing test scripts as per product requirements.
  • Translate manual regression test cases into automated test scripts.
  • Lead/implement testing for large-scale, web applications tools, and/or software.
  • Advocate best practices to team members and development teams.
  • Collaborate with Development Managers, Product Managers, Software Engineers and other teams to ensure the highest quality of the product by architecting automation focused solutions.

Who You Are

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or Information Technology or related field
  • 3-5+ years of proven experience in defining, developing and owning test automation infrastructure for a large enterprise
  • Solid foundation in software testing fundamentals
  • Good balance between manual and automated testing
  • Experience working with APIs from various external providers
  • Experience with using Postman or similar testing tools for grpc, SOAP, REST API testing is a must.
  • Knowledge of schema validation/responses/Error codes of the APIs
  • Fluency in a variety of languages, frameworks and tools for automated testing solutions such as JavaScript, Node.js, Express.js, Java, TestNG, Rest Assured, Selenium, Cucumber, MongoDB, REDIS, Saucelabs, Browserstack
  • Fluency in Elixir or any other functional programming language is a plus
  • Ability and interest in developing test automation frameworks from scratch
  • Be able to contribute in maintaining continuous integration and deployment solutions (Argo CD, GitHub Actions etc.) that served large software engineering organizations
  • Developing test strategies, test plans based on user stories, functional specifications, use cases, and/or business requirements
  • Strong foundation with test case management tools (TestRail, TM4J, QC, etc.)
  • Knowledge of advanced SQL and relational database concepts
  • Familiarity with load/performance testing tools such as JMeter and other open source javascript based libraries
