Your future position
As a Senior Engineer in the auth team, you will design, build and deploy robust, secure and scalable auth & identity solutions that protect the Kpler platform and its users, support Kpler’s continual growth and ensure compliance across the organization.

Your Mission Is To

  • Design, build and deploy robust, secure and scalable auth & identity solutions
  • Maintain existing auth systems
  • Act as a technical authority in the auth & identity domain
  • Mentor and coach others in the team
  • Own the development and deployment of solutions from end to end
  • Ensure the output of the team is delivered to a high standard and meets the engineering organisations’ quality goals

You Will Work Closely With

This Could Be a Match If You Are/have

  • 7+ years of full-stack software engineering experience
  • Experience with CIAM platforms, such as Auth0, Entra ID etc.
  • Strong grasp of authentication and authorisation concepts and standards, such as OAuth2 and OIDC
  • Experience with TypeScript
  • Experience with other technologies including SQL, Containerisation (e.g. Docker), DevOps - CI / CD
  • Strong command of written and spoken English

Your Impact

We are a highly dynamic engineering organization that works on building software for workload security products that cater to highly complex and scalable customer environments to protect their crown jewel application workloads from increasingly complex threat vectors.

As a Technical Lead for backend services, you will work with and provide technical leadership to a team of highly motivated engineers working on solutions to ship or deploy for our customers, with a focus on improving Scale, Performance, Reliability, Robustness, and, most importantly, Security.

In this role you’ll provide technical leadership and make architectural contributions in backend services that:

  • Collect and process telemetry at scale from data sources in customer environments
  • React to changes in environment and render policies in highly scalable manner to large number of enforcement points
  • Implement API endpoints that need to respond with minimal latencies even when crunching large volumes of data.
  • Will be deployed in highly complex distributed system environments and involve failure modes unique to those environments.

Minimum Qualifications

  • At least 9+ years' experience building software systems in one or more programming languages such as Go, C++, or Java.
  • Technical leadership experience in a software engineering environment
  • Agile experience
  • Bachelor's degree with 11+ years of related experience, Master's with 9+ years, PhD with 4+ years, or equivalent combination of education and experience. In lieu of a degree, a minimum of 10 years of relevant professional experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • Proficiency in Computer Science foundational areas, including algorithms, systems, databases, performance engineering and security architecture
  • Schema/Data modeling design experience
  • Experience with large-scale event processing architectures
  • Experience in systems programming and performance engineering
  • Experience working with security architecture and database design
  • Kubernetes experience
  • Experience programming using cloud APIs for AWS, Azure, or GCP
  • A professional who embraces agile methodologies that involve rapid prototyping by feedback gathered from customers, peers and technical solution architects, customer enablement engineers and support engineers.
  • A technically skilled leader who enjoys architecting, designing, analyzing, and brainstorming solutions that improve the product and produce customer-facing capabilities

Job responsibilities

  • Design, build, test, and deliver high-quality software solutions for electronic trading systems, from requirements through production rollout
  • Lead technical design discussions and contribute to architecture decisions, ensuring solutions are secure, scalable, and resilient
  • Build and maintain low-latency, high-throughput services with a strong focus on performance, reliability, and correctness
  • Integrate services with internal and external systems, ensuring well-defined interfaces, robust error handling, and operational readiness
  • Own production outcomes by participating in on-call/support, triaging incidents, performing root-cause analysis, and driving permanent fixes
  • Improve engineering standards through code reviews, automated testing, CI/CD, observability, and continuous refactoring to strengthen system health
  • Identify recurring issues and data/operational patterns, and translate insights into measurable improvements in stability and developer productivity

  • Strong OOP/design patterns understanding and clean code practices
  • Strong coding skills in Java and Spring with solid fundamentals
  • Proven, hands-on experience across system design, application development, testing, and production support
  • Experience with FIX protocol
  • Experience with low-latency/high-throughput systems

  • Knowledge of fixed income products
  • Exposure to agentic AI

What will you do:

As an
API Developer,
you will join their IT Team and participate in the development and maintenance of APIs and relevant connectivity layers that power their digital products and partner integrations. The role focuses on building and maintaining reliable APIs, supporting integrations with external partners (such as Online Travel Agencies and ticket providers), and ensuring smooth communication between the internal systems, mobile applications, and external services.

You will work closely with all the product teams (mobile, backend, and frontend) to expand the platform's capabilities and maintain stable integrations with partners.

More specifically, you will:

  • Maintain and enhance existing REST APIs while designing and developing new services to support product expansion and integrations with external partners, agencies, booking systems, and ticket providers.
  • Support connectivity for booking management, product availability, inventory synchronization, and partner data exchange, ensuring API reliability, scalability, and performance.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external technical partners to integrate backend services with mobile apps and internal tools, while supporting the technical aspects of commercial partnerships.
  • Contribute to API documentation, monitoring, troubleshooting, automated testing, CI/CD processes, deployment workflows, and the continuous improvement of the overall API architecture.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of professional experience in backend development, including API development and integrations
  • Strong experience with Node.js or Express.js
  • Experience building RESTful APIs
  • Good understanding of API design and best practices
  • Experience integrating with third-party APIs
  • Experience with Docker
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines
  • Experience writing unit tests
  • Familiarity with Git-based workflows
  • Experience in debugging and maintaining production systems
  • Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to internal teams, external partners, and non-technical stakeholders
  • Excellent command of Greek and English languages

Any experience in the following will be considered an asset
