Role description

About Rivian
Rivian is on a mission to keep the world adventurous forever. This goes for the emissions-free Electric Adventure Vehicles we build, and the curious, courageous souls we seek to attract.

As a company, we constantly challenge what’s possible, never simply accepting what has always been done. We reframe old problems, seek new solutions and operate comfortably in areas that are unknown. Our backgrounds are diverse, but our team shares a love of the outdoors and a desire to protect it for future generations.

Role Summary
Rivian’s Communications Platform team builds the core systems that power customer and agent communication across voice, chat, SMS, email, and in-app messaging. We are seeking a
Senior Full Stack Software Engineer (Frontend-Focused)
to lead the development of modern, scalable frontend applications while contributing to robust backend services.

In this role, you will help shape intuitive, high-performance user experiences for internal operations teams and build the APIs and infrastructure that support real-time, omni-channel communications at scale.

Responsibilities

  • Frontend Architecture & Development: Design, implement, and maintain scalable, performant frontend applications using React and TypeScript, with a strong focus on usability, maintainability, and design system consistency.
  • UI/UX Excellence: Translate product requirements and design mocks into high-quality, accessible, and responsive user interfaces. Drive improvements in user experience for agent- facing and internal operational tools.
  • Full Stack Ownership: Build and maintain backend microservices using NodeJS and NestJS, ensuring seamless integration between frontend and backend systems.
  • API Development: Design and maintain RESTful APIs and GraphQL to enable efficient and secure data exchange between frontend applications and backend services.
  • Real-Time & Event-Driven Systems: Integrate messaging and event-driven architectures using AWS SQS/SNS and other messaging services to power real-time communication workflows.
  • Cloud Technologies: Leverage AWS services such as Lambda, EKS, and related cloud infrastructure to deploy and scale applications.
  • Data Storage: Work with DynamoDB, Elasticsearch, and SQL/NoSQL databases to support high-volume communication data and reporting needs.
  • Performance Optimization: Drive frontend performance improvements (bundle size, rendering optimization, state management) and backend scalability enhancements.
  • Technical Leadership: Provide mentorship to engineers, lead design discussions, and establish best practices for frontend architecture, code quality, and testing strategies.
  • Quality Assurance: Write comprehensive unit and integration tests across frontend and backend systems. Actively participate in code reviews to maintain high engineering standards.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with Product, Design, Data Engineering, DevOps, and Operations teams to deliver high-impact communication capabilities across Rivian.
  • Documentation: Create and maintain clear technical documentation for frontend architecture, APIs, and system designs

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
  • 5+ years of professional software development experience, with significant frontend expertise.
  • Strong proficiency in React, TypeScript, and modern frontend architecture patterns
  • Strong understanding of frontend performance optimization, accessibility, and responsive design principles.
  • Experience designing scalable UI systems and working with component libraries or design systems.
  • Experience designing and building scalable backend services using NodeJS, RESTful APIs, and GraphQL
  • Hands-on experience with AWS cloud technologies (Lambda, EKS, SQS/SNS).
  • Experience with DynamoDB, Elasticsearch, or similar data stores.
  • Proven ability to lead technical initiatives and mentor other engineers.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps best practices.

Nice to have

  • Experience building real-time communication platforms (chat, messaging, voice, or contact center systems).
  • Experience with containerization and orchestration using Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Exposure to event-driven architectures and high-scale distributed systems.
  • Experience integrating third-party communication platforms (e.g., Twilio, messaging APIs).

The company is a dynamic, small, flat-structured organization with offices in major global financial centers.

Leversys’s valuation model, systems, and data are recognized as among the market leaders in the convertible bonds space.

Following the launch of the Marketspace platform, Leversys is entering an exciting scale-up phase, aiming to play a leading role in the digitalization of the convertibles market.

This creates opportunities for team members to make a meaningful impact while growing alongside the business as the product offering continues to expand.

As a Senior Software Engineer (back-end), you will:

  • Follow a structured onboarding plan that combines early codebase contributions, architectural understanding, and exposure to the convertible bond domain.
  • Contribute to a product company that builds and owns its platform, giving your work lasting impact and visibility from problem definition to delivery and growth.
  • Build mission-critical applications for a specialised financial market with an established client base, keeping the engineering work purposeful and technically engaging.

  • Excellent analytical skills and a structured, logical approach to complex problem-solving.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
