Senior Product Engineer II
you play a pivotal role in Docebo
Notification, Configuration, EE, Utilities
development and product engineering team through highly complex technical challenges, requiring deep analytical and problem-solving skills. You will start with a unique blend of hands-on, high-impact development and technical leadership, evolving into a strategic orchestrator as your team grows to eliminate planning complexities and streamline cross-team communication. This isn't about just maintaining code; it’s about driving systemic efficiency, setting elite engineering standards, and transforming technical strategy into reality to fuel Docebo's growth.

We build modern, scalable, and resilient products. Our ecosystem is diverse, and we believe in leveraging the best tools for the job.
In this role, your day-to-day will be mainly focused on Node.js development, while also maintaining and managing some of our existing PHP services.
Here is a snapshot of our technology stack:
- Core Backend: We power our services using PHP, Node.js (TypeScript), and Golang. We are also embracing Serverless architecture, leveraging it specifically for our newest modules and features to ensure maximum scalability and speed of innovation.
- Frontend Ecosystem: Angular is our main framework for web applications, though some of our cross-functional teams build components using React.
- Mobile Development: We deliver high-quality cross-platform mobile experiences powered entirely by React Native.
- Cloud & DevOps: Our entire infrastructure is fully cloud-native and hosted on AWS.
The Day-to-Day 🛠️
- Crush Complexity: Lead the analysis and resolution of complex technical issues by applying advanced knowledge and evaluating a variety of factors to determine the most effective methods and procedures.
- Architect Innovation: Develop and implement innovative solutions to address intricate technical challenges, utilizing in-depth professional expertise and understanding of company objectives.
- Elevate Talent: Mentor and guide team members in applying advanced concepts and techniques, fostering professional growth and ensuring the team’s work aligns with departmental goals.
- Bridge the Disciplines: Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including Product Management and Testing, to ensure the successful integration of different disciplines and the effective execution of projects.
- Advise and Lead: Act as a technical advisor on complex projects, occasionally stepping in for the Engineering Manager, to ensure that technical direction is consistent with company standards and objectives.
- Drive Continuous Improvement: Evaluate and adapt complex models and procedures, guiding the development of new policies and ideas that enhance technical operations.
- Own the Outcomes: Ensure that technical work is consistent with departmental objectives by applying judgment in selecting methods and evaluating outcomes.

- Master the Stack: Exhibit advanced, wide-ranging experience and in-depth professional knowledge across both backend and frontend development.
- Crush Complexity: Prove adept at resolving complex issues creatively and effectively, understanding the interrelationships of different disciplines.
- Lead and Mentor: Demonstrate strong leadership abilities, focusing on mentoring team members and ensuring alignment with company objectives.
- Bring the Experience: Leverage 7+ years of experience in software development, with significant experience in both backend and frontend technologies.
- Technical Versatility: You bring proficiency in NodeJS and any frontend framework/libraries. Any experience with other languages like PHP, Python, Java or Golang is also valued but you are willing to work with NodeJS and Angular.
- Drive Innovation: Apply a proven track record in leading and mentoring technical teams, with a demonstrated ability to develop and implement innovative technical solutions.
- Navigate the Process: Utilize a strong understanding of complex software development processes and the ability to apply and adapt advanced techniques to achieve departmental objectives.
- Decide with Precision: Practice excellent judgment and decision-making skills in selecting and evaluating methods and procedures for achieving results.
- Shape the Future: Direct the application of existing principles and guide the development of new policies and ideas in a collaborative and cross-functional environment.

a week in the office (Tuesday-Thursday) to collaborate, solve problems, and learn from each other,
at either our Milan or Biassono location.
