Position Overview
Autodesk is looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join our growing infrastructure team in Krakow, Poland. You will work on Civil engineering software, like Autodesk Civil 3D, to help civil engineers to design a better future.

We are looking for individuals who are enthusiastic about designing and developing high quality software solutions which may combine desktop applications, web clients and cloud services.

You will have a significant impact on how we design, build, and deliver our products to millions of

professionals. You will work in a cross-functional team focused on building and maintaining software

for various products and components. You will work on a variety of unique challenges which give you

the chance to learn modern technology and grow your skills.

This team works in a Hybrid working model based from our Krakow office.

Responsibilities

  • Development and software architecture working with software engineers and architects across the product line group.
  • Address, complex engineering problems, while being aware of how to break them down in manageable work chunks
  • From time-to-time act as a feature champion and oversee its implementation within team
  • Prototype, implement, and maintain production software and software components.
  • Perform regular code reviews.
  • Write unit and integration tests.
  • Perform automated testing. Create scripts to support automation testing.
  • Work with the Agile team at improving Quality Assurance processes and be an ambassador for quality.
  • Collaborate within your team and with teams of engineers to design, plan, develop, refactor, test, deliver and maintain complex features within desktop applications, cloud services and desktop components.
  • Work with the product owner, experience designer and product management teams to review and implement proposed designs.
  • Actively participate in team meetings.
  • Being Agile and using LEAN methodology as an active member of a Scrum team
  • Collaborate using tools such as Git, JIRA, and wiki pages.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 5+ years’ experience programming with C++
  • Experience in software development in a commercial setting in a scaled Scrum team scenario with several teams working on shared deliverables.
  • Has a customer orientated approach to Quality Assurance.
  • Experience in handling large scale code basis and refactoring
  • Passion to improve product quality.
  • First or upper-second class degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field
  • Advanced English knowledge

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Git or similar source code revision control systems
  • Working Experience or educational background in AEC industry is a plus.
  • Perform functional testing, regression testing, ongoing system integration, and periodic build verification tests as part of each product release cycle.
  • Knowledge of DevOps, CI/CD pipeline and Test Automation
  • Familiarity with, or an interest in learning, React for UI development.
  • Understanding of deployment methodology

Salary transparency
Salary is one part of Autodesk’s competitive compensation package. For Poland based roles, we expect a starting base salary between 238,000 PLN and 348,700 PLN. Offers are based on the candidate’s experience and geographic location, and may exceed this range. In addition to base salaries, our compensation package may include annual cash bonuses, commissions for sales roles, stock grants, and a comprehensive benefits package.

Senior Frontend Developer - React & Azure
About The Role
You will be a hands-on front-end engineer and technical reference for a high-traffic, event-driven web platform. This role is grounded in active development — building, maintaining, and improving the codebase — while also contributing to architecture decisions, code quality standards, and the growth of the team around you.

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain web applications using ReactJS, TypeScript, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
  • Contribute to front-end architecture decisions and help shape the technical direction of the platform
  • Lead code reviews, enforce coding standards, and manage alignment PRs across branches
  • Monitor and investigate performance issues to ensure reliability under peak event-driven loads; support CDN configuration (Akamai) in collaboration with the DevOps/Ops team
  • Support and maintain CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps / Jenkins) alongside the DevOps/Ops team
  • Act as a technical reference for complex engineering challenges
  • Work within Agile workflows using GitHub, Azure DevOps, and JIRA; align technical execution with project goals

Requirements

  • 7+ years in Front-End Development, with at least 2 years in a lead or senior technical role
  • Expert-level proficiency in ReactJS, TypeScript, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
  • Experience contributing to front-end architecture decisions and defining code quality standards
  • Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps / Jenkins) and performance monitoring at scale (Azure Portal, Akamai or equivalent CDN)
  • Solid experience with GitHub and Azure DevOps Services; familiarity with JIRA and Confluence
  • Track record of mentoring developers and leading code reviews
  • Fluent English (spoken and written); availability to travel every 3 months for 2–3 days

As a Cloud Core Platform Engineer, you will be essential in supporting our developers, lower environments, and ultimately our production system. We run a 24x7x365 business and must develop a highly performant, resilient, scalable, and user-focused platform. You will assist in the implementation of critical projects while working with your team (pod), collaborate across teams within the platform organization to ensure best practices and innovative solutions are adopted and interact with Developers to get their code into production. This is a hybrid role reporting onsite to our Krakow, Poland office 1-2 days a week.

What You Will Do

  • Leverage your expertise to assist in design, develop, and optimize complex features along with the technical lead and solutions architect.

What You’ll Need

  • 4–6 years of experience developing infrastructure as code solutions.
  • Experience delivering and/or maintaining large-scale multi-team platforms
  • Experience working in a Kubernetes environments
  • Experience using tools like OTEL, NewRelic, and Splunk to understand performance and issues
  • Thorough understanding of Kubernetes, Terraform, AWS, and containers - core principles, patterns, and best practices
  • Open to learning how to implement and support scalable, maintainable, and robust hybrid platform architecture. (Due to the wire act, we must be able to support on-premise locations)
  • Understanding of security controls around cloud solutions.
  • Excellent communication, able to clearly articulate and raise risks, issues, and plans.
  • Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, bash scripting, python or GO languages
  • Problem-solving skills for tackling complex, unconventional technical challenges.
  • Proficient and active in code reviews
  • This position is a core contributor and requires committing of quality code
  • Strong understanding of MakeFiles, DockerBuild files, and YAML.

  • Proficiency in testing methodologies (unit, integration, and UI tests).
  • A background in working with real-time applications and push data
