As a Senior Software Engineer, you will contribute directly to the design and development of a platform that handles 22 million bets per month, playing a key role in its stability, scalability, and expansion into new markets.

What The Role Involves

  • Contribute directly to the design and development of our platform
  • Optimise the platform to support product features more efficiently
  • Ensure platform stability and reliability across all environments
  • Support platform expansion into new markets, maintaining a stable hosting environment
  • Enable traders to define mappings to our external offerings
  • Drive improvements to platform health across scalability, speed, quality, and flexibility
  • Maintain low latency and high success rates to directly improve user experience
  • Conduct design and code reviews, and provide mentorship to other team members

What We Are Looking For

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field
  • 5+ years of experience building high-quality software
  • Strong engineering practices including code reviews, CI/CD, and design documentation
  • Ability to write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code with a focus on performance and scalability
  • Passion for delivering high-quality solutions that anticipate and exceed customer needs
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills

Nice to have

  • Experience with Golang, Kubernetes, or Kafka
  • Passion for cloud technologies and familiarity with AWS services
  • Experience in the betting or gaming industry

What will you do?

As a Senior Python Data Engineer, you will join a cross-functional team working on a large-scale retail data platform for a global client. The platform aggregates and curates product data from multiple high-volume internal data streams, transforming it into a reliable and scalable dataset served through APIs.

In this role, you will focus on building and maintaining robust data pipelines and backend services, ensuring high data quality and system reliability in production.

  • Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines for processing large volumes of product data

  • Has strong SQL skills, including writing and optimizing complex queries
  • Understands data quality practices (validation, reconciliation, schema evolution)
  • Has solid software engineering fundamentals (testing, code reviews, CI/CD, version control)
  • Has experience with containerization (Docker or similar)
  • Has experience building or maintaining APIs / serving layers
  • Has worked with cloud platforms (AWS or similar)
  • Is proactive, independent, and comfortable owning solutions in production

Requirements
We are seeking a Data Center Subject Matter Expert (SME) to join our team. The ideal candidate will be a highly knowledgeable professional with a deep understanding of data center operations, infrastructure, and technology. This role is critical for defining and building software solutions that address the unique challenges and business needs of our data center clients.

Required Qualifications:
