THE ROLE:

The Cloud Services at IGEL support the OS and Management solutions. The containerized webservices run in an orchestration hosted at cloud providers. The containers are also provided to customers to be hosted and managed independently in their infrastructure. The developers (m/f/d) are involved in the entire software development process. They are also involved in deploying, monitoring and maintaining the services. As a Software Developer (m/f/d) in the Cloud Services department, you are a specialist in the field of webservices with a focus on providing frontend solutions.

TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Implement professional concepts and architectures
  • Implement high-quality software solutions using JavaScript
  • Implementing APIs and microservices
  • Assist the deployment and operation of microservices on Kubernetes clusters.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams
  • Understand and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated testing and monitoring

Customer Journey Analytics (CJA) Stitching team
builds the systems that unify and process data from multiple sources to create consistent, real-time customer journeys.

The platform coordinates data ingestion, identity stitching, and analytics processing across multiple data sources. The system processes customer interaction data and transforms it into unified analytics datasets used across Adobe Experience Cloud.

As a
Senior Backend Engineer
, you will design and evolve the distributed systems and data pipelines that power these capabilities.

What You’ll Work On

  • Design and build data processing pipelines using Java / Scala and Spark
  • Develop systems responsible for customer identity stitching and data aggregation
  • Design and optimize distributed data processing workflows
  • Contribute to architecture and system design decisions
  • Improve pipeline reliability, observability, and performance
  • Work with multi-cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, GCP) and infrastructure-as-code tools
  • Own services through the full lifecycle — from design and implementation to production operations
  • Collaborate with engineers, architects, and product teams across Adobe Analytics

Our client is a performance rights organization in the United States. It collects blanket license fees from businesses that use music, entitling those businesses to play or sync any songs from the client’s repertoire of over 22.4 million musical works. On a regular basis, the client distributes the money to songwriters, composers, and music publishers as royalties to those members whose works have been performed.

Requirements
Work arrangement: Hybrid — 1 day in the office in Bucharest every two weeks.

  • 5+ years of hands-on experience building web applications using Node.js, Express, React Solid experience with Node.js and React.
  • Experience in upgrading Node.js version
  • Proven track record with Express.js routing, middleware design, error handling, and API security best practices.
  • Proficiency in RESTful API design and development
  • Proficiency in cloud deployment technologies, with a preference for Azure
  • Experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL databases
  • Proficiency with Git, GitHub/GitLab branching workflows, and pull request reviews.
  • Familiarity with containerization (Docker) and cloud services

What We'd Love You To Do (and Love Doing)

  • Build and maintain efficient, reliable transactional data integration solutions
