Ihre Aufgaben:

• Du hast Spaß daran, hochsichere Google Distributed Cloud (GDC-A) Umgebungen aufzubauen und zuverlässig zu betreiben
• Du setzt architektonische Anpassungen im Spannungsfeld von IT-Sicherheit, Kundenanforderungen und Architekturvorgaben um
• Du bist aktiv im Deployment und Aufbau im Rechenzentrum dabei und bringst die Plattform zum Laufen
• Du begleitest Entstörungen und Break-Fix-Einsätze im Rechenzentrum
• Du arbeitest eng mit dem Hersteller zusammen und begleitest die Weiterentwicklung der Plattform

Ihr Profil:

• Du hast eine abgeschlossene Berufsausbildung in der IT oder eine vergleichbare Qualifikation
• Du bringst min. 5 Jahre Berufserfahrung in Enterprise-Umgebungen mit - idealerweise im öffentlichen Sektor
• Du hast fundiertest Know-how im Cloud-Umfeld und in Rechenzentrums-Infrastrukturen
• Du hast Erfahrung mit Linux und Kubernetes, Zertifizierungen sind dein Vorteil
• Du kennst Dich mit Istio, Netzwerken (LAN) sowie Server- und Storage Hardware aus
• Tools wie Grafana und Prometheus sind Dir nicht fremd
• Idealerweise hast Du schon Berührungspunkte mit GDC-A
• Du kommunzierst sicher auf Deutsch und Englisch

About The Role
We are hiring a Senior Software Engineer for our Data Platform team - the team that owns the core streaming execution and database internals powering Snowflake's platform. You'll work deep in the stack: stream processing runtimes, query execution engines, storage layers, and the distributed systems primitive that everything else is built on.

AS A SOFTWARE ENGINEER, DATA PLATFORM AT SNOWFLAKE, YOU WILL:

• Design and implement high-throughput stream processing systems with strong correctness guarantees - exactly-once semantics, out-of-order event handling, low-latency execution
• Work on database internals - query execution, operator design, storage engine components, or transaction processing at cloud scale
• Own features and systems end-to-end: design, implementation, testing, deployment, and production observability
• Drive architectural decisions that shape the long-term evolution of Snowflake's streaming and core platform layers
• Mentor engineers through design reviews, code reviews, and technical guidance
• Partner across product, infrastructure, and research teams to deliver high-impact, foundational capabilities

OUR IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:

• 5+ years of software engineering experience in distributed systems, query engines, streaming infrastructure, or database internals (or equivalent, including research)
• BS/MS/PhD in Computer Science or related field - graduate research in streaming systems, query processing, or database engines is a strong differentiator
• Deep expertise in distributed systems: consistency, fault tolerance, replication, state management
• Hands-on experience with stream processing systems - building, operating, or extending them (industry or academic)
• Proficiency across multiple languages such asJava, Scala, C++, and Python, with a track record of production systems at scale
• Proficiency with AI-native software engineering and agentic development workflows

Ability to lead complex technical projects independently with minimal direction

BONUS POINTS FOR:

• Experience with stream processing engine internals (e.g., state backends, checkpointing, runtime, or operator development) in systems like Apache Flink, Spark Structured Streaming, or similar.
• Experience with SQL engine internals: query optimization, execution plan design, storage formats, or transaction layers
• Published research or thesis work in streaming, real-time query processing, or distributed computation
• Contributions to open-source data infrastructure or database systems
• Familiarity with Spec Driven Development (SDD) and Test Driven Development (TDD)
• Familiarity with formal verification

Role

Our perception technology, in particular pose estimation, is a key differentiator of the Intrinsic platform and enables our users to build flexible automation solutions. The perception experience team builds tools that significantly improve developer productivity when adding perception to an application, from camera onboarding and calibration to training and running a pose estimation algorithm.

We are seeking a highly skilled Software Engineer to join our dynamic perception team working at the heart of Flowstate, our first product built on the Intrinsic platform. In this role, you will be responsible for developing new user interfaces focused on perception user journeys, improving existing user journeys, and integration with the rest of the Intrinsic platform and backend APIs. You will develop the full stack of web interfaces for end-to-end perception tasks, ensuring a cohesive and user-friendly experience throughout our platform. The interfaces you build will shape our product and the role of the human in it.

You are excited by the prospect of owning critical pieces of our user experience (including collaborating with the Product and Design teams, and developing tests). You are excited to work with real cameras and robotic hardware. You have excellent development skills across the web application stack and are excited to be part of a world-class, innovative, frontend team.

How your work moves the mission forward

• Develop intuitive and innovative perception interfaces in collaboration with Product, Design, and Engineering teams.
• Own individual workflows or web UIs critical for Intrinsic’s perception product(s).
• Collaborate closely with product, design, and cross-functional engineering teams to deliver cohesive and delightful user experiences.
• Contribute to the end-to-end tech stack, integrating frontend with backend systems to enable seamless human-robot interaction.

Skills you will need to be successful

• At least Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
• At least 5 years of professional experience in frontend web application development, with proficiency in modern JavaScript/TypeScript and experience with a major web framework (e.g., Angular, React).
• Experience in backend development (C++, Python or similar) required.
• Willingness to learn or familiarity with 3D computer vision, registration techniques, or similar perception topics.
• Experience with building visually-rich web applications.
• Excellent collaboration skills, particularly when working with product and design teams.
• Good written and verbal communication skills in English.

Skills that will differentiate your candidacy

• Experience with 3D graphics and visualization libraries (e.g., Three.js, WebGL) in a web context.
• Experience in building human-machine interfaces for robotics or perception or complex industrial systems.
• Experience with user studies or gathering user feedback to iterate on prototypes.

The base salary for this full-time position is between €128,000 - €131,200 (EUR) + 15% bonus + equity + benefits.

Wie Du Die Energiewende Vorantreiben Kannst

• Montage und Betrieb von Hardware in Rechenzentren der Übertragungsnetzbetreiber, verbunden mit bundesweiter Reisetätigkeit.
• Ausbau der VPP-Hardware in den Colocation-Rechenzentren von sonnen und Absicherung des störungsfreien Betriebs.
• Strategische Weiterentwicklung und Modernisierung unseres Colocation-Stacks hin zu einer Cloud-Native-Architektur durch Konzeption und Umsetzung der Konsolidierungsstrategie mit den modernen Cloud-Umgebungen von sonnen (AWS, Hetzner).
• Überwachung von Netzwerken, Hardware und virtuellen Maschinen mit dem Ziel, eine störungs- und unterbrechungsfreie Funktion sowie ein effektives Incident Management sicherzustellen.
• Steuerung der Datacenter- und Colocation-Provider inklusive der Überwachung von SLAs, Verträgen, Kapazitätsplanungen sowie dem strategischen Kostenmanagement für die angemieteten Rechenzentrumsflächen.
• Management der VPP-Hardware hinsichtlich Bestellung, Rechnungsbearbeitung und Bezahlung inkl. Verhandlungsführung mit den externen Anbietern.

Was Du Auf Dieser Reise Benötigen Wirst

• Tiefgehende Kenntnisse in Debian Linux und Proxmox sowie praktische Erfahrung in Administration und Betrieb produktiver Linux-Serverumgebungen.
• Fundierte Erfahrung im Brückenbau zwischen On-Premises/Colocation-Hardware und Public-Cloud-Infrastrukturen (insbesondere AWS und Hetzner).
• Starkes Interesse und idealerweise nachweisbare Fähigkeiten, traditionelle Infrastrukturen in Cloud-Native-Strukturen zu transformieren (z. B. Containerisierung, GitOps-Ansätze oder Kubernetes im Bare-Metal-Kontext).
