Responsibilities

Our AFC team is responsible for protecting the bank from financial and reputational losses incurred by financial crimes by assessing, controlling and mitigating risks. Risk types related to Anti-Financial Crime are consolidated in a comprehensive and effective risk management framework that covers Anti-Money-Laundering, Sanctions & Embargoes, Anti-Bribery & Corruption as well as Anti-Fraud & Investigations.

You will work as part of a cross-functional agile operational team. You will bring an innovative approach to software development, focusing on using the latest technologies and practices, as part of a relentless focus on business value. You will be someone who sees engineering as a team activity, with a predisposition to open code, open discussion, and creating a supportive, collaborative environment. You will be ready to contribute to all stages of software delivery, from initial analysis right through to production support. Our goal is to design and develop high-quality automation solutions to solve business problems/challenges via a combination of off-the-shelf and open-source technologies. You'll get the chance to work with experienced engineers across our enterprise with a chance to move across varying automation technologies of the future.

From January 2026 mandatory office attendance

Skills

Must have

Deep Observability Expertise (ideally New Relic APM, Infrastructure, Logs, Synthetics, NRQL, full-stack tracing).

Google Cloud Platform (GCP) Monitoring Fundamentals (New Relic integration with GCP, native GCP monitoring, GCP resource hierarchy, IAM, networking).

Reliability Engineering mindset focused on availability, resiliency, automation, observability, and continuous improvement.

Ability to understand, define, and monitor Critical User Journeys (CUJs) effectively, bridging the gap between business requirements and technical implementation.

Proficiency in building clear, intuitive, and actionable application support dashboards that cater to both technical and business stakeholders.

Knowledge of SLI/SLO concepts and production stability best practices.

Strong experience in L2/L3 Production Support, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, incident resolution, and problem management.

Minimum 5 years of experience in supporting and maintaining mission-critical applications and platforms (99.9% uptime), preferably in a financial or banking environment.

Understanding of Microservices architecture, APIs, and application integration patterns.

Experience with monitoring and observability tools such as Splunk, Grafana, Geneos, or similar solutions. (While New Relic is primary, broader observability tool experience is valuable).

Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Cloud Build) and deployment automation.

Proficiency with GitHub for version control and collaborative development.

Familiarity with cloud-native development and deployment practices on GCP.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work under pressure in production environments.

Experience working with Oracle Databases and SQL.

Understanding of middleware and messaging technologies (IBM MQ, JMS, Kafka, Solace is an advantage).

Experience working within Agile delivery teams and collaborating effectively in virtual and cross-functional teams.

About This Role
We are seeking a capacity management specialist who will ensure a cost-conscious and optimised balance between business demand and data centre resources across Vodafone Group-managed local markets and internal IS departments. This role plays a key part in enabling efficient infrastructure utilisation, data-driven capacity planning, and continuous improvement of capacity management processes within complex, multinational environments.

What You’ll Do

  • Administer, configure, troubleshoot, and optimise BMC TrueSight Capacity Optimizer (TSCO) and its related ETL components
  • Design, develop, and deploy automation solutions, including bash and shell scripts, to enhance tool functionality and operational efficiency
  • Download, test, and implement tool upgrades and patches using vendor-provided scripts
  • Produce and distribute capacity dashboards and reports covering CPU, memory, network, and storage utilisation trends
  • Develop workload-related capacity plans by analysing system metrics, application workloads, and business KPIs to identify correlations, trends, and predictive models
  • Provide capacity-related consultancy in collaboration with local markets, including assessments for major projects and shared estate environments
  • Support incident analysis by contributing technical insight, identifying root causes, and collaborating with relevant technical teams on remediation actions
  • Contribute to the continual improvement of capacity management processes, tools, and operational models in alignment with evolving data centre standards and architecture strategies

Who You Are

  • An experienced professional with a strong understanding of enterprise IT technologies, data centre standards, and capacity planning principles
  • Confident working with Windows, Unix/Linux, VMware, and additional virtualisation platforms such as Solaris or AIX
  • Skilled in BMC TrueSight Capacity Optimization, BMC Discovery, and Oracle Enterprise Manager
  • Knowledgeable in database technologies, with strong expertise in Oracle and exposure to other platforms such as MS SQL or Sybase
  • Experienced in cloud solutions, containers (including Kubernetes), non-relational databases such as InfluxDB, and modern storage and converged infrastructure technologies
  • Comfortable with statistics, data modelling, BI, SQL/PLSQL, Power BI reporting, and presenting complex insights clearly
  • A collaborative communicator with strong written and spoken English, able to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels
  • Familiar with ITIL practices, security and SOX regulations, and experienced in multicultural, matrix organisations

This Job Role is responsible for the coordination, management, and execution of proactive and reactive maintenance activities that require a
Second Level Operations support.
This shall ensure that the services provided to customers are continuously available and performing to Service Level Agreement (SLA) performance levels.

You will:

To be successful in the role you must have a
t least 5 of the following:

  • Degree in Engineering preferably in Electronics, Computer science, Telecommunication or equivalent
  • Good level of English
  • 5G Telco Cloud Infrastructure (NFVI, Edge) is a plus
  • Excellent understanding of PS and EPC architectures (2G/3G/4G)
  • Proven knowledge and work experience with PS 5G equipments
  • Linux operating system commands
  • SIGTRAN protocol stack and troubleshooting
  • Understanding of IP routing protocols and MPLS will be a plus.
