The Opportunity
The role main objective is to be responsible of the quality of service, an the speed and quality of service deployment on the infrastructure platforms. Ensures the availability of services within minimal risks, favoring automation and predictability on changes and deployments.

You will work in a DevOPS Squad to automate processes, monitor system health, and address incidents proactively while contributing to a culture of continuous improvement.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

  • Monitor the performance, availability, and reliability of our systems and applications, ensuring adherence to SLAs.
  • Ensuring the correct running and maintenance activities of the Application Platform
  • Implement and maintain monitoring and alerting systems to proactively identify issues.
  • Have a holistic end-to end view on the service: application, underlying infrastructure and other dependencies.
  • Release/scripts/packages/libraries installation in production
  • Guarantee that the service you are in charge can be installed, configured, changed, and operated I compliance with regulation, security and the expected service levels.
  • Improve through automation, the pipeline from development to operations (Ci/CD) and all operations on the service.
  • Change request management
  • Participate and validate service designs and changes, with the mission to ensure that quality of operations will remain at the proper level.
  • Lead incident response efforts during outages or major incidents, coordinating with cross-functional teams to ensure timely resolution.
  • Conduct post-mortem analyses to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
  • Availability for on call activities out of business hours – Stand-by
  • Ensure 2nd Line of support for incidents and problem management
  • Identify gather and analyze metrics and events from both infrastructure and application to provide capacity planning, performance improvements and incident analysis.
  • Performing technical and business monitoring of application platforms through alerting tools (I.e Zabbix, Grafana, PagerDuty, Prometheus)
  • Propose application related evolutions to improve service and deliver quality
  • Partner with infrastructure provider as the voice of service delivery

What You Will Do

  • Cloud Platform Architecture (Red Hat Focused)
  • Architect, deploy, and operate Red Hat OpenShift (OCP) and Red Hat OpenStack Platform (RHOSP) as the foundational telco cloud stack.

How You’ll Make An Impact
As a
Staff Software Engineer
, you will join a highly performing-team of engineers who build, own, and maintain backend services and products. You will design, collaborate, and execute building the AdsWizz products at scale while automating and providing insights into the data onboarding with the SXM Media and AdsWizz services.

What You’ll Do

  • Provide technical leadership for the requirements, analysis and design and implementation of the most used Audio Streaming Server in the world - AIS, written in C/C++
  • Provide technical leadership for the requirements, analysis, design and implementation of the AIS Managed Service Platform, built on top of AWS technologies and Go programming language
  • Design and build high-performance, stable, scalable AdsWizz systems that will be deployed in an enterprise setting.
  • Lead high-level architecture discussions and planning sessions.
  • Work with various teams of engineers building software in a collaborative development process.
  • Execute tasks with utmost clarity and precision, demonstrating a strong sense of ownership and providing clear direction to drive projects forward effectively.

  • 7+ years of professional software engineering experience, with deep expertise in modern C++ (C++14/17/20), including advanced memory management, multithreading, concurrency models, and performance optimization.
  • Proven experience designing, architecting, and scaling high-performance distributed systems, with a strong focus on low latency, high throughput, and fault tolerance.
  • Demonstrated ownership of large-scale backend systems or critical infrastructure components, driving architectural direction across teams.
  • Strong understanding of distributed systems principles, including:
  • Consistency models
  • Backpressure handling
  • Load shedding
  • Circuit breaking
  • Idempotency
  • Observability-driven design
  • Failure recovery strategies

  • Deep understanding of streaming protocols and delivery architectures (HLS, HTTP-based streaming, RTMP/RTSP, ICY), including segment lifecycle, bitrate ladders, and server-side ad insertion considerations.
  • Experience designing and maintaining secure, versioned public APIs, with strong knowledge of REST principles, API security (OAuth2, token-based systems), and API lifecycle management.
  • Proficiency in constructing and communicating detailed software architecture diagrams and technical documentation for cross-team collaboration.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, with a systems-level approach to debugging and continuous optimization.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence technical direction across multiple teams and mentor senior engineers.
  • Proven ability to research, evaluate, and introduce new technologies or architectural patterns when appropriate.
  • 5+ years of experience designing and operating streaming and/or high-throughput backend systems in cloud environments (AWS preferred), with hands-on experience in cloud-native design principles.
  • Experience with advertising-related protocols and real-time bidding systems (OpenRTB, VAST) is a strong plus, particularly in latency-sensitive ad-delivery environments.
  • Designing and operating high-concurrency streaming services capable of handling large-scale client connections.
  • Architecting and scaling transcoding pipelines and media processing workflows.
  • Designing resilient cloud-native microservices with strong emphasis on performance and reliability.
  • Working with cloud platforms (AWS preferred), including infrastructure patterns for high availability and multi-AZ deployments.
  • Designing and maintaining public-facing APIs with strict SLA requirements.
  • Working with relational databases (MariaDB/MySQL preferred) and/or NoSQL systems, with understanding of indexing strategies and query performance tuning.

The opportunity
The role is offered within the Digital Services unit, and more specifically in the Digital Payment & Security Business entity, which designs, develops, and hosts payment and multi-channel authentication applications for large French and international accounts.

The "Trusted Authentication" project aims to develop strong authentication solutions to ensure the security of digital transactions. In a world where data security is paramount, this project is part of an approach focused on innovation and user protection.

In this context we propose a lead developer position embedded in a brand-new support team to participate from design to delivery of various patch fixes, supported by your squad lead as well as a whole project team that is yet to be built.

Day-to-day Responsibilities

  • Manage and maintain Linux/RedHat systems in Worldline's production environment, ensuring high availability and performance in accordance with SLAs
  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve system-related issues while maintaining service level agreements (SLAs) and platform availability targets
  • Perform regular system updates and patch management ensuring systems are current with latest security updates
  • Participate in disaster recovery planning and testing, ensuring business continuity and system resilience
  • Configure and optimize system automation tools and scripts to improve operational efficiency
  • Collaborate with security teams to maintain compliance with PCI DSS and other relevant security standards in the Linux environment In a Cloud context, the System Engineer role is adapted and called now SysOPS. This role is present in the entire lifecycle of any service hosted in the cloud. He is mainly responsible for deploying, managing and operating systems on the Cloud platforms.

  • Technical expert with proven experience in systems administration, preferably in a financial services or payment processing environment
