The Role
As a
Software Architect / Solutions Architect
at Air Apps, you will be responsible for
defining and overseeing the overall system architecture
for our AI-powered platform. You will collaborate with engineering teams, product managers, and stakeholders to design
scalable, secure, and high-performing solutions
that align with business objectives.

You will play a key role in shaping our
technology strategy, evaluating new tools and frameworks, and ensuring best practices
in software design, cloud infrastructure, and system integration.

Responsibilities

  • Define and maintain the overall architecture and system design for scalable and efficient software solutions.
  • Provide technical leadership to engineering teams, guiding them in best practices for architecture, coding, and system scalability.
  • Design and document high-level system diagrams, data flows, and API structures.
  • Evaluate and recommend technologies, frameworks, and cloud services to optimize performance, security, and cost-efficiency.
  • Ensure high availability, fault tolerance, and security in all architectural decisions.
  • Oversee system integrations, including microservices, APIs, and third-party services.
  • Work closely with DevOps and SRE teams to ensure smooth deployment and operational reliability.
  • Establish coding and architecture standards, ensuring maintainability and scalability of codebases.
  • Identify and mitigate technical risks, ensuring system resilience and future scalability.
  • Conduct architecture reviews and performance audits to continuously improve system efficiency.

Requirements

  • Around 6+ years of experience in software development and architecture.
  • Strong expertise in system design, cloud computing, and microservices architecture.
  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform) and cloud-native architectures.
  • Proficiency in backend technologies (e.g., Node.js, Python, Java, .NET) and experience with modern frontend frameworks (e.g., React, Angular, Vue).
  • Knowledge of databases (SQL and NoSQL), caching strategies, and data pipelines.
  • Experience with event-driven architectures, API design, and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Strong understanding of security best practices, identity management, and encryption techniques.
  • Ability to evaluate trade-offs in architectural decisions, balancing scalability, cost, and complexity.
  • Familiarity with DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation).
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain complex architectural concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

  • Change Management & Change Enablement: Du verantwortest die Steuerung aller IT-Changes und treibst das Change Enablement aktiv voran. Durch deine proaktive Lenkung und Steuerung des gesamten Prozesses minimierst du das Risiko für change-bedingte Events im Betrieb und sicherst die Stabilität der Kundensysteme.
  • Practice Management & Prozesslenkung: Du analysierst kontinuierlich die Schnittstellen und Abläufe zwischen Kundenanforderung, Support und Betrieb. Du definierst Standards, optimierst die ITSM-Praktiken (CSI Approach orientiert an ITIL Version 5), mit Schwerpunkt Service Desk & Change Enablement, und stellst deren Einhaltung, der KPI, in der Organisation sicher. Wenn nötig stellst du einen Know-How Transfer in der Organisation, nach dem Train-the-Trainer-Prinzip, sicher.

Dein Profil

  • Abgeschlossenes Studium in Informatik, Wirtschaftsinformatik oder eine vergleichbare Qualifikation mit entsprechender langjähriger Berufserfahrung.
  • Fundierte Praxis im IT Service Management, spezifisch im Incident-, Major Incident-, Problem- und Change Management in einem komplexen Enterprise- oder Provider-Umfeld.
  • Zertifizierung in ITIL 4 oder höher (idealerweise Managing Professional) sowie tiefes Verständnis für agile und klassische Betriebsstrukturen.
  • Du bewahrst in kritischen Situationen einen kühlen Kopf, bist kommunikationsstark und durchsetzungsfähig.

Qualifikation

  • Educational Background:
    A solid foundation in computer science.

  • Proven Experience:
    Extensive experience as a full-stack developer with a strong focus on backend technologies (Python preferred) and familiarity with front-end frameworks (React, Angular).

  • DevOps Proficiency:
    Expertise in Shell Scripting, CI/CD pipelines, Cloud services (AWS, Azure), Containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), Server Provisioning, and Monitoring & Alerting techniques.

  • Technical Skills:
    A good understanding of networking, databases, backup strategies, and disaster recovery scenarios to support robust and scalable applications.

We are looking for a Data Center Engineering Operations Technician to join our expanding team in Switzerland. As an Data Center Engineering Operations Technician, you'll independently troubleshoot and maintain electrical and mechanical systems, and respond to operational issues with minimal supervision. Key job responsibilities

On-site management of contractors, sub-contractors and vendors, ensuring that work performed is in accordance with established practices, procedures & local legislation.

Maintain performance benchmarks, & prepare reports on all aspects of the critical facility infrastructure operations & maintenance.

Generate Change Management requests & Incident Management tickets as directed.

Learn and contribute to documentation relevant to business & facility operations.

Assist with rack installation and the provision of power/cooling.

Become involved with routine maintenance and emergency services on critical systems such as: switchgear, generators, UPS systems, power distribution equipment, cooling equipment, building monitoring systems, etc.

Assist and learn about the design, implementation, commissioning and build out of new facilities.

Assist with the management of facility assets.

Participate in Construction & Operational Meetings as required.

Assist with Work Order compliance and review of contractual SLAs.

Interface with Infra Ops teams for day to day operational requirements.

Assist in the resolution of any infrastructure engineering or services issue.

Delivery of exceptional customer service and satisfaction.

Meet daily hours of operations, on-call requirements for response outside of hours and potential future shift rotations.

A day in the life

Your Day-to-day Activities Will Include
Monitoring alarms and systems that manage power, cooling, and fire suppression in the data center.

Coordinating vendor work on-site to ensure equipment is maintained and uptime is preserved.

Supporting other teams and sites during events and planned works.

Handling rack installations and powering up equipment.

Monitoring and facilitating the handover of new equipment.

Sharing knowledge and supporting new team members.

Participating in event response drills.
