We are looking for a
Senior Embedded Software Engineer
to lead the architecture and implementation of AUTOSAR Classic software on our MCU-based automotive software platform within a next-generation Software-Defined Vehicle (SDV) program spanning IVI and ADAS domains.

On the MCU side of the vehicle compute architecture, you will design and evolve safety-critical middleware, including RTE, communication, PDU routing, diagnostic interfaces, and storage, using a code-first, modern C++ approach.

This role goes beyond traditional AUTOSAR model-based tooling and focuses on developing production-quality C++ software that integrates with our open Base Software (BSW) stack.

Key Responsibilities:
You will contribute across architecture, implementation, and technical leadership within the MCU Classic AUTOSAR stack:

  • AUTOSAR Classic Architecture: Define and own the architecture of MCU firmware and AUTOSAR Classic components; align design decisions with system architects and customer stakeholders.

  • Middleware Implementation: Design, implement, and enhance middleware components such as RTE, COM, and PDU routing, including unit testing and documentation.

  • Integration & Debugging: Integrate AUTOSAR stack components with RTOS, low-level drivers, and platform services; troubleshoot complex issues using JTAG, trace, and protocol analysis tools.

  • Quality & Review: Review and approve requirements, architecture, design, code, tests, and documentation; ensure compliance with functional safety and quality standards.

  • Cross-Domain Collaboration: Work closely with MCU platform, low-level, security, and SoC teams to ensure end-to-end software integration across the vehicle platform.

Candidate Profile:
We are looking for a senior engineer who combines strong AUTOSAR Classic expertise with modern C++ skills and the ability to take ownership of architectural decisions in a safety-critical embedded environment.

Core Requirements:

  • Modern C++: Strong proficiency in modern C++ for embedded firmware, middleware, and driver development.

  • AUTOSAR Classic: Solid understanding of AUTOSAR concepts, including RTE, communication stacks, diagnostics, and NVM/storage.

  • RTOS & Embedded Systems: Experience with RTOS-based systems and multi-core MCU architecture.

  • Testing: Experience with unit testing frameworks such as gtest/gmock.

  • Debugging: Hands-on experience with embedded debugging tools (JTAG, tracing, protocol analyzers).

  • Automotive Context: Background in automotive and safety-critical embedded software development.

Preferred Qualifications (Nice to Have):

  • Experience with TriCore, ARM, or POSIX-based platforms

  • Familiarity with MISRA, CERT, or similar static analysis standards

  • Scripting experience (Python, Ruby) and integration testing (e.g., PyTest)

  • Knowledge of ISO 26262, ISO 21434, or ASPICE processes

  • Exposure to Eclipse OpenBSW or code-first BSW approaches

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, deploy, and maintain robust production/test environments across enterprise Linux and public Cloud platforms.
  • Manage and automate system configurations, provisioning, and environment builds using tools such as Terraform and Ansible.
  • Oversee enterprise storage solutions, define lifecycle policies, and manage reliable backup and disaster recovery strategies.
  • Help architect and maintain resilient system infrastructure optimized for AI-agentic workflows and automated execution pipelines.
  • Support development teams by managing, automating, and maintaining CI/CD environments and application deployment pipelines.
  • Enforce server/network security policies, maintain proactive patch management, track CVEs, and apply system hardening standards.
  • Ensure 24/7 high availability using monitoring, centralized logging, and proactive incident response tooling.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a System Engineer, Systems Administrator, or Infrastructure Engineer.
  • Strong background in Linux-based environments, system administration, kernel tuning, and troubleshooting.
  • Hands-on experience with at least one major public cloud provider (Google Cloud, AWS, Azure or Tencent Cloud).
  • Practical experience with Terraform for infrastructure management and Ansible (or Puppet/Chef) for configuration automation.
  • Solid knowledge of storage systems (SAN/NAS/Object Storage) and enterprise backup/restore operations.
  • Experience with container technologies (Docker, Podman) and orchestration engines (Kubernetes or Docker Swarm).
  • Familiarity with observability and logging stacks (Prometheus, Grafana, Zabbix, Elasticsearch, Splunk) and messaging systems (RabbitMQ, Kafka, etc.).

Nice to Have

  • Interest in or exposure to AI-agentic architectures, workflow automation, and LLM deployment infrastructure.
  • Understanding of load balancing and caching mechanisms (Nginx, HAProxy, Redis).
  • Knowledge of VCS tools (Git/GitLab) and deploying Java/modern applications within CI/CD pipelines.
  • Strong documentation discipline and a structured, security-first approach to systems engineering.
