Role description

Junior QA Engineer - Job Description

Location: Belgrade (up to 3 days per week in the office)

Full-time | SaaS | B2B | Medical Education | AI-powered

The Opportunity

We're looking for a

Junior QA Engineer

who is hungry to learn, naturally curious, and takes pride in finding what others miss. You'll execute manual and exploratory testing across our platform, learn how complex SaaS systems behave under real-world conditions, and grow into a QA professional who understands not just

that

something breaks, but

why

.

This is

not

a passive, ticket-clicking QA role. Even as a junior, we expect you to ask questions, chase down answers, and take real ownership of the areas assigned to you. You'll be mentored by an experienced QA team and work side by side with developers who treat QA as their closest ally.

Who We Are

Evermed is a fast-growing B2B SaaS company serving medical associations worldwide with a Netflix-style video education platform and a full engagement engine behind it.

Our mission is to help doctors stay up-to-date and elevate patient care through world-class, personalized educational content.

We've reached

product-market fit

and are scaling with long-term medical association clients. We maintain agile startup energy - lean, AI-forward, and fun to work with - but

without

the drama, firefighting, and roller coasters. We've built a strong architectural foundation designed for scalability and feature velocity.

We're Looking For You if You..

  • Have

0-2 years of QA experience

(internships, courses with real projects, or a first QA job all count)

  • Are

genuinely curious

- you don't stop at "this doesn't work," you want to know

why

  • Have basic understanding of

how web applications work

(frontend, backend, APIs)

  • Are comfortable writing

clear, structured bug reports

with reproduction steps

  • Show

initiative

- you ask for work when you're free, flag blockers early, and never wait to be chased for status

  • Are detail-oriented and patient enough to test thoroughly, not just quickly
  • Want to grow toward

test automation

over time

  • Communicate openly and proactively - in writing and in person

Your Responsibilities

  • Execute manual and exploratory testing for web and API components, guided by the QA team
  • Run regression test suites and keep results organized and traceable in

TestRail and Jira

  • Write clear, actionable bug reports with steps, evidence, and context
  • Learn

Postman

for basic API validation and sanity checks

  • Verify bug fixes and participate in release validation
  • Communicate testing status proactively - daily, without being asked
  • Share timely, clear updates about the activities performed with the other team members in English
  • Gradually take ownership of specific platform areas as your knowledge grows
  • Learn from senior QA colleagues and absorb the team's testing methods and discipline

Bonus Experience (Nice to Have)

  • Any exposure to

test automation

and Page Object Model (Playwright, Cypress, Selenium - even from courses)

  • Basic

SQL

knowledge for data verification

  • Familiarity with

REST APIs

and tools like Postman

  • ISTQB Foundation or similar QA training
  • Comfort using

AI tools

to speed up your work and learning

  • Testing mobile applications on Android and/or iOS is a plus
  • Prior hands-on experience testing streaming platforms (think Netflix, Disney+, etc.) is a significant advantage

Culture, Mission, Fit

We're a small team with a big impact. There's no politics, no silos, and no hiding - only clear ownership, open collaboration, and high standards. You'll work with engineers who respect QA as their closest ally, not a post-hoc checker.

Every release you help validate reaches doctors in 40+ countries. It enables real learning, and indirectly, better patient care. That responsibility is why we test deeply, methodically, and with pride - and why we'll invest in teaching you to do the same.

We don't believe in "bug-free code" - we believe in systems that fail gracefully and teams that learn fast. If you want to build a real QA career in that kind of environment, we want to hear from you.
