Deine Arbeit umfasst den gesamten Bereich von Requirements Engineering und Architekturdefinition über Systemintegration und Verifikation bis hin zum Deployment und hilft dabei, humanoide Roboter der nächsten Generation vom Prototypen in die Serienproduktion zu bringen.

Deine Mission und Herausforderungen

  • Die Brücke: Treibe die Entwicklung der humanoiden Plattform 4NE1 voran, indem du Kunden-, Produkt- und Geschäftsanforderungen in strukturierte und nachvollziehbare Systemanforderungen übersetzt. Unterstütze die Definition der Systemarchitektur und stelle die Ausrichtung zwischen funktionalen Zielen und technischer Umsetzung sicher
  • Zusammenarbeit & Abstimmung: Definiere Systemgrenzen, Schnittstellen und Verantwortlichkeiten der einzelnen Subsysteme über die Bereiche Robotiksoftware, Perception, Manipulation, Locomotion, Controls, Embedded Systems, Elektronik und Mechanik hinweg. Stelle eine nahtlose Zusammenarbeit aller Komponenten der humanoiden Plattform sicher. Du bist in der Lage, die Wechselwirkungen zwischen Locomotion, Manipulation, Perception, Energiesystemen, Embedded Software und KI auf Gesamtroboter-Ebene zu verstehen und zu bewerten
  • Integration vorantreiben: Leite Systemintegrations- und Validierungsaktivitäten für komplexe humanoide Fähigkeiten wie Locomotion, Manipulation, Mensch-Roboter-Interaktion, Autonomie und Sicherheitsfunktionen. Definiere Verifikationsmethoden, Abnahmekriterien und Validierungsstrategien
  • Verantwortung für den Systemumfang: Erstelle und pflege zentrale Systems-Engineering-Artefakte, darunter Anforderungsspezifikationen, Architekturdokumentationen, Schnittstellendefinitionen und Traceability-Dokumentationen. Wirke an Technical Reviews, Design Reviews, Architecture Reviews und Produktmeilensteinen mit
  • End-to-End Umsetzung: Unterstütze die Systemintegration von frühen Prototypen bis hin zu produktionsreifen humanoiden Robotern. Analysiere die Systemperformance auf Gesamtroboter-Ebene, identifiziere bereichsübergreifende Probleme, koordiniere Ursachenanalysen und treibe deren Lösung über mehrere Engineering-Disziplinen hinweg voran. Erfahrung bei der Unterstützung des Deployments von Robotersystemen in produktiven oder kundenorientierten Umgebungen ist von Vorteil

Worauf wir uns freuen

  • Ausbildung: Masterabschluss oder Promotion in Robotik, Systems Engineering, Elektrotechnik, Informatik oder einem verwandten Fachgebiet. Mehr als 3 Jahre Berufserfahrung sind von Vorteil

As an Automation Engineer you will design, implement, and maintain test and process automation solutions that improve quality, accelerate delivery, and enable innovation across TWINT. The role requires hands‑on expertise in test automation, strong software engineering skills, and practical experience with large language models (LLMs) to drive AI‑enabled process improvements and new product capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Test Automation:
    Design and implementation of automated tests for APIs, web, and mobile applications, including early integration into the development lifecycle (shift-left testing).
  • Test Frameworks & Quality Engineering:
    Build, maintain, and enhance scalable test frameworks with test data management, reporting, and parallel execution capabilities.
  • Test Data & Environment Management:
    Ensure reliable and repeatable test execution through effective management of testdata and environments.
  • Process Automation:
    Develop and maintain AI-driven and business workflows to automate manual processes and increase operational efficiency.
  • System Integration:
    Integrate automation solutions seamlessly into existing systems and CI/CD pipelines for end-to-end process optimization.

Professional Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent and at least 5 years of experience in software engineering, test automation, or a related field.
  • Proven track record in building and maintaining test frameworks (including test data management, reporting, and parallelization).
  • Strong understanding of object-oriented principles with hands-on experience in Java, Python, and scripting (e.g., Bash).
  • Practical experience on cloud platforms (e.g. Azure) with pipeline-as-code (e.g., GitHub Actions), automated build/test workflows, and modern DevOps practices (including Docker/Kubernetes).
  • Experience with process automation tools and building LLM-based solutions (including prompt/context engineering; Windmill is a plus).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; able to explain technical concepts clearly to diverse stakeholders.
  • Proactive, curious, and self-driven professional with a strong understanding of modern SDLC and agile practices; works effectively with minimal supervision and confidently challenges the status quo while taking calculated risks to drive continuous improvement.
  • Languages: Fluent in English; German is a plus.

Basic Qualifications

  • Experience developing software code in one or more programming languages (java, python, etc.)
