General Summary
Qualcomm's Multimedia R&D and Standards Group is seeking candidates for Video Compression Research Engineer positions. You will be part of world-renowned team of video compression experts. The team develops algorithms, hardware architectures, and systems for state-of-the-art applications of classical and machine learning methods in video compression, video processing, point cloud coding and processing, AR/VR and computer vision use cases. The successful candidate for this position will be a highly self-directed individual with strong creative and analytic skills and a passion for video compression technology. You will work on, but not be limited to, developing new applications of classical and machine learning methods in video compression improving state-of-the-art video codecs.

We are considering candidates with various levels of experience. We are flexible on location and open to hiring anywhere, preferred locations are USA, Germany and Taiwan.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the design, implementation, and optimization of advanced algorithms to improve video compression efficiency.
  • Participate in the research and development of AI-based compression tools.
  • Represent Qualcomm in the related standardization forums: JVET, MPEG Video, and ITU-T/VCEG.
  • Document and present new algorithms and implementations in various forms, including standards contributions, patent applications, conference and journal publications, etc.

Ideal Candidate Would Have The Skills/experience Below

  • Expert knowledge of the theory, algorithms, and techniques used in video and image coding., including latest video coding standards such as HEVC and VVC.
  • Experience with deep learning architectures, including CNN, RNN, and autoencoders.
  • Track record of successful research accomplishments demonstrated through published papers, and/or patent applications in the fields of video coding or video processing.
  • Solid programming skills in C/C++ combined with knowledge of at least one machine learning framework such as PyTorch or TensorFlow.
  • Strong written and verbal English communication skills, great work ethic, and ability to work in a team environment to accomplish common goals.
  • Masters or PhD degree with relevant work experience or publications in the areas of video compression, video/image processing algorithms, computer vision, or machine learning.

Qualifications

  • PhD or Masters degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, Mathematics, or similar fields.
  • 1+ years of experience with programming language such as C, C++, MATLAB, etc.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics or related field and 6+ years of Software Engineering, Hardware Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related work experience.

OR

Pay Range And Other Compensation & Benefits
$179,000.00 - $268,400.00

The above pay scale reflects the broad, minimum to maximum, pay scale for this job code for the location for which it has been posted. Even more importantly, please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Qualcomm. We also offer a competitive annual discretionary bonus program and opportunity for annual RSU grants (employees on sales-incentive plans are not eligible for our annual bonus). Lead Biostatisticien Clinique
pour :

  • Incarner le référent statistique unique auprès des équipes projet et participer activement aux réunions cliniques et stratégiques
  • Rédiger et valider les documents d'étude clés : synopsis, protocoles, plans d'analyse statistique (SAP), spécifications de randomisation et shells TFLs
  • Superviser les activités statistiques sous-traitées aux CROs, en garantissant le respect des délais, des coûts et des normes de qualité des données
  • Co-rédiger l'interprétation des résultats et définir les messages clés en lien étroit avec les équipes médicales et cliniques
