Scandit ZURICH

Imagine the what. Build the how.
Scandit gives people superpowers. Whether enabling delivery drivers to make quicker deliveries, matching a patient with their medication, or allowing retailers to make store operations more efficient, our technology automates workflows. It provides actionable insights to help businesses in a variety of industries. Join us as we continue to expand, grow, innovate, and help take Scandit to the next level.

Your opportunity

Scandit builds software that captures data on mobile devices through image analysis, used by retail and logistics companies worldwide. Best known for barcode/QR scanning, we also capture ID documents, text, and shelf products.

Our Zurich product engineering team runs structured tests comparing barcode and label recognition against competitors.

What You Will Do

  • Set up and run test captures: arranging and clamping devices into a robot rig, capturing barcode/label images in specific configurations
  • Run structured competitor-analysis tests on those captures
  • Progress into scripting and eventually building small capture tools as you learn the setup

Starts hands-on and repetitive, grows into independent scripting.

Details

  • 1 day/week (or two half-days), flexible day, based on your semester schedule
  • On-site, Scandit Zurich, Hardturmstrasse 181
  • Paid hourly, budgeted for up to 12 months

Who You Are

  • Studying software engineering, robotics, or a related field
  • Around 3rd-4th semester
  • Comfortable with scripting, curious about testing and mobile/device software
  • Reliable, self-driven, comfortable with repetitive work early on
